Name: Carlos
Rank: Captain Current Assignment: Commanding Officer, USS Liberator NX-85472 Age: 28 Date Of Birth: 2357 Place Of Birth: Karrlito Species: Karrlito Gender: Male Family: None Known Height: 6'2 Weight: 195 lbs Eye Color: Blue with a tint of purple Hair: Light brown Physical Description: Slim, athletic Distinguishing Marks: None Relationship Status: Single Personal History: The first and only member of his species to leave Karrlito, Carlos entered into a life of crime from the age of sixteen. A mercenary for hire, he was discovered by mysterious higher beings who felt his true abilities wasted. With their omnipotent powers they 'enginered' he would encounter the USS Endeavour UEV-001, Starfleet's intergalatic generational ship, which was passing through Ferengi space. Crashing into it, Carlos runs amok, posing a threat to the ship in a delusional and confused state. At this time he also discovers some unusual powers he has inherited. A sixth sense that can anticpiate danger and the ability to generate a small psionic blade. While staying aboard the ship, Carlos discovers his homeworld has been destroyed by an asteroid impact during his mysterious absense, wiping out the Karrlito species. Despite this tragic news, Carlos is eager to leave the Federation starship as soon as possible. He has always resented the Federation and their stuffy rules and regulations. Secretly however, he blames them for leaving him stuck on Karrlito when his people turned them away after first contact, condeming him to many more years on his isolantionist world. More importantly, the young Karrlito has a long list of crimes against the Federation and has no desire to pay for them! Assisting the ship during an encounter with the Borg, Commodore Louk Siit begins to access the young mans abilities. Despite clashing with several of the top brass on occasion, he see's potential in the young man. Part of this is due to his friendship with another ensign - Peter Arman, a talented Operations officer. Following a drunken and dramatic meeting in Bee'Root's bar, they quickly become firm friends, famed for their madcap antics. This is proven all too true when they go on holiday. In the space of a few days, the two crash a shuttlecraft, contend with angry chickens and become stranded. Salvation arrives in the form of Dr Cherilyn Wood. The young medic ran comprehensive tests on Carlos to learn more about his powers several weeks earlier. Although unsuccessful, it does push Carlos, Arman and her into an unlikely trio, despite the Karrlito's disdain for the prim and proper Wood. Siit offers Carlos a field promotion of ensign in security. Carlos excels in the role despite all expectations and soon climbed to the rank of lieutenant. Incredibly, he eventually takes over the role of chief of security by 2373, following a further rise to lieutenant commander. While hardly a model officer, Carlos is living proof that anyone can change for the better. His time aboard the USS Endeavour saw him become one of the family and a valued crewman, helping him find a better direction in life. With the USS Endeavour recalled to Earth in 2374, Carlos was promptly reassigned by Admiral Steve Mason as an intelligence operative and full rank of commander. His first mission was to travel to Sector D4-677 and gather intelligence on the region, primarily on potential allies the Free Republic and possible threat from the Vectari Empire. He was soon reunited with several of his former USS Endeavour crewmates when they arrive in the sector aboard the USS Intrepid NCC-53421. A madcap series of events see's that vessel destroyed and the crew on the experimental and unfinished USS Liberator NX-85472. Faced with little option, they take charge of the ship and resume their critical mission in Sector D4. With no official captain assigned to the Liberator, Carlos eventually takes command after some deliberation. Despite his own reservations, he has once more proved the true potential he denied himself as a young man. Now on the right path - with a little guidance - he continues to explore the limitless frontiers of space and his own self. Education: No Official Education. Service Record: Commisioned: USS Endeavour UEV-001, Security/Tactical Officer (Field promotion) USS Liberator NX-85472, Commanding Officer (Emergency Field promotion) Ambitions: To have as much fun as possible! Likes: Vodka, hand held weapons, partying, clothes. Dislikes: Diplomats, protocol, boring people. Strengths: Quick and unorthadox thinker, excellent hand to hand combatant, tactical expert, marksman. Limitations: Limited knowledge of sciences, short temper. Languages: Federation Standard (English), Klingon, Ferengi, Basic knowledge of most primary Alpha Quadrant species. Hobbies and Interests: Drinking! Talents and abilities: Exceptional skill with weapons, including their construction. Special Abilities: A 'sixth sense' to anticapte danger, psionic blade formed from fist - the focused totality of his sixth sense. Quirks: Everything about Carlos could be considered quirky. Medical/Psychological Report Like all Karrlito, Carlos is vulnerable to the cold. His body is more comfortable with warm climates. Exceptional agility and stamia which is also Karrlito standard. A deeper knowledge of his sixth sense/psi-blade has proven fruitless despite several studies. |
