Photoshop only tutorial. MAY work on other programs but not tested.
Faded photoshop stock
Ok there are two methods for making a faded look in photoshop.
1. Open your document in photoshop and add a picture to it. This creates an automatic new layer for the image. Click the layer that you have pasted and open the layers bar. Here on the right side you should be able to see a gauge that has Opacity next to it. This is basically the level of viewing that you are able to see it. It SHOULD be set on 100. Lower or riase this bar to set it to a faded look into your image.
2. This could help some of you with blending. Pic out your free hand select tool and look to the top of the page you should be able to see a box that has feather Written next to it. In this box it will have a 0 in it. Riase the ammount of feather and you will increase the ammount of faded look you get when you delete a selected area when you select something within your image.
I hope this tutorial has helped somewhat with peoples idea's on fading.
