Xbox 360 just like the Xbox is a PC in a smaller box with much less modification available. The USB ports are the only reason it's compatible.

The new splinter cell coming out, from what I read in OPM from march, said the new game will look just as good as the PC and Xbox versions. Ha! Take that MS.

amd another thing that really made me laugh during teh 360 press conference, was when they announced backwards compatibility! lol, and teh audience road in joy because of it, well that was said years ago for the ps2, so why be so impressed by that? and with teh 360 verging pc status, its all becoming obvious teh future of what microsoft have in consoles

tehy said ages ago, that the 360 (at teh time "next") will be there last console! well, i agree, it will eb however this console will imo be upgraded liek a pc, so in 10 years time i imagine they will just have more powerfull ugprades or versions of teh 360!

I'm not too impressing with project gotham. It looks like GT4 just a bit prettier. That's it. Raving games don't prove anything for a system. Cars are easier to render than characters I believe. Though I'm unsure of that statement.

I don't know. Maybe KH2 and FF12 together will make more money than LOZ but I think it will sell more on release than KH2. Me being a KH fan you should know that is my honest opinion. MY best friend lost a friend because he was a Microsoft fan. lol

Depending on how long it is until square releases 12, it may sell quite well. I know I'm getting it first day along with KH2 so. LoZ I'll probably get day one as well =)

But your friend lost a friend cause they were an ms fan? Interesting. Like I've said I like some of the games on my xbox, but the console is truly irrelovant to me. Where as when I had a ps2, I was pleased with the console and games.

But generally, I just want games that rock. Period. Personally, I've seen to many console wars, they are pointless. It all falls down to your personal preference and in that lies your own opinions as well. Arguing which system is best is also pointless IMO, cause we as the consumers don't know until after the consoles are released.

I look forward to see what everyone does this generation. But in truth, Sony's still got my money launch day. Ms, probably a year or so down the pipeline and Nintendo's going to have to fight to get my money this time around. I like some of the games I have for my GC (the rest are my wife's) the controllers ok, and I do admit to liking the fact the system takes very little space. But, atleast the GC looks like a little planning went into it. The REV, =P~~~~~ doesn't....but, that's just my opinion.

To me, another Zelda won't make me want to buy a Rev, nor another mario. Nintendo needs innovation. And IMO, a bunch of new staff!

well, thats what ive said before! ninty cant fall back and live off LOZ, mario etc! there only blockbusters (still, even LOZ plaes compared to other games) are...Ninty games! ninty games however great, are not enough! teh rev, needs more innovation absoloutly, i personally like teh sleek look to teh rev! the 360 looks to plastic and almost cheap, the ps3...well need i say anything apart from "WOW" its going to rock, it will look great, sound (hopefully) great and of course play great!

when i first got my very first console (atari) i never thought wed get to the gfx ingame we have now! i remember playing games like png and forgger! lol, then i got a...commodore i think it was called! i swappd that for a master system, then got a nes, loved it so got a snes, and then mega drive lol, then we witnessed the birth of teh most dreadfull console every...the...Panasonic (lol, i forgot the name! lol, it played games liek movies, but very cheap and bad)! the best time for me in teh gaming industry, was the psx and saturn/n64 days! i remember playing mario 64 and literally staying up 24/7! we need teh next gens to make us all feel like that again! im at an age were i love to see new updates in gfx, but id now much rather feel the same feelings i had playing mario 64 and being overwhelmed by its uniqye style, and truely new sense of gameplay! i dotn think we will ever see them days again, as we have crossed into 3d now, and i cant see any "near" changes! ahh, dont forget the old snes! i loved that too, i was playing seiken Densehtsu just earyler today! to refresh my mind so i can cover it in depth at my site

Right now the console wars are being determined by the mere fact that Microsoft is pulling Live, customization (whoopie *coughs* Sarcasm) of faceplates and such. Basically, things that have been done in the PC area for awhile now. And the thing thats really killing me, are all the xbox fans calling it new, and innovative. Sorry, come again?

I can change the interface of my PC with a few downloads and edits here and there. I can alter the case by: buying a new case or spray painting the one I've got now.

The USB connectivitiy isn't new either. PS2's got two of the ports on the front of the console! Eyetoys been a huge success on the PS2, so, let's copy it and call it new again. *laughs* Sorry that one kills me.

yes, that was harsh from sony, but to be honest sony are in a very good position to critisze them! microsoft have come i the console scene as if they will dominate it! how very foolish, they think there money will buy them the success, well sony may not be as rich as microsfot but they sure as hell no how to prudce consoles!

Let's just say, I hope sony fixes their past errors. Systems breaking launch day a year and a half from now (Since it's already been announced!) shouldn't happen. (Meaning, cause I confused myself on that one. When it launches in a year/year and a half, the first wave shouldn't have the same problems that the past two consoles have)

well, i was just watching some footage of e3, and saw your gaming clips from it, i loved a few of teh FPS games on show, and ive always had respect for microsoft in the FPS filed of games, sony have never really met any of my standards i fps, so i always go for microsoft! however, with this said, i hope sony can deleiver some better fps's!

also, its very sad but i love how when your online with the 360, your control pad will light up on a button in teh middle when your being invited to a game! thats kinda cool, and also i think itd be nice to won both 360 and ps3 so i can hook them up on different tvs and compare! im very sad but i do that with games nowadays! lol, hence the reason why imo the gamecube is better in many ways than a ps2!

The Ps2 actually got the shorthand of the texturing memory hand. That's why the guy who created RE4 doesn't want to port it over to the PS2. It will look like crap compared to the GC's version. But, then again, that may not be so true. Since developers are now learning how to send the geographical textures through the main textures pipeline or something around those lines. Ps2 games are catching up because developers are devoting more time to them now. And actually taking the time to find out what the true abilities of the Ps2 are.

Have you seen videos of RE4 for the PS2? they look exactly like the GCN one! It looks amazing. Capcom is a traitor though. They were giving Nintendo all of these exclusives( like RE4/Killer 7 ) and then they backstab them and go over to Sony.

As far as money goes though, Capcom made a good move. And since obviously the Ps2 isn't so PoS as everyone thought (*laughs* I'm actually laughing about this factor. It amuses me. Yet again Sony was under estimated)

I'm going to say something, just cause it hit me last night. I was looking at the newest GI and I'm looking at a screen from Killzone 3, and FF7's tech demo. It is completely possible for Killzone to look like that! And I'm just saying this cause so many xbox'ers have been saying that it's not possible =)

I look forward to seeing if Lionhead releases BC for the xbox 360. I am hoping cause I wanted that game so bad on the xbox. It has yet to be comfirmed by the people who are actually making the game. Bill Gates most likely said that to "scare" Sony. All we know is that Halo 3 is coming out on the Xbox 360, and that Bill Gates would like it out on the system when the PS3 launches.

Grrr....... I don't see what people see in Halo. And yes I've played it. It is just a bland FPS. But I don't want to argue either.

Doesn't take much experience to beat halo. Or any fps for that matter, understanding the story however, is another matter. Granted, I was disappointed with both games, though 2 more than 1.
