Title: New Elite Membership
Nitro Bahamut - November 29, 2005 05:00 PM (GMT)
I have made a new group for the members who surpass 2000 posts. So that means Ragnarok and Shugo are elite members now!
Being an elite member, enables you to edit your posts, edit your topic titles, delet you posts and also topics! It gives you a total of 9000 pm storage space and also a seperate colour for your name. <mog2
Shugo - November 29, 2005 09:33 PM (GMT)
Oh..well that explains why my name is a weird color..
gotenks992 - November 29, 2005 09:38 PM (GMT)
So not even members who have been here since pretty much day one don't get it?
Nitro Bahamut - November 29, 2005 09:45 PM (GMT)
well, if your staff then no! but mostly all members from day one are staff now!
gotenks992 - November 29, 2005 09:47 PM (GMT)
Well don't forget some of those who join back then may not even be around!
Nitro Bahamut - November 29, 2005 09:56 PM (GMT)
yeah, which is why i havent made them all elite members!
gotenks992 - November 29, 2005 09:57 PM (GMT)
Keep only the active old ones as the Elite Members if any are still around.
Zidane - November 30, 2005 01:46 AM (GMT)
Maybe also have a retired staff group for retired staff members?
Nitro Bahamut - November 30, 2005 02:47 PM (GMT)
Hmm, maybe class them as a kind of V.I.P!
Capt_Barbarian - November 30, 2005 02:54 PM (GMT)
Sounds good lol..I can already do all those things as a "Moderator" but awesome lol
Zidane - November 30, 2005 04:21 PM (GMT)
But of course you would though Capt. But that might be best Nitro. Give them some sort of recognition.
Capt_Barbarian - November 30, 2005 05:13 PM (GMT)
Yes, but it seems almost to high of a goal if you ask me.
Nitro Bahamut - November 30, 2005 05:30 PM (GMT)
to high of a goal? what does?
Capt_Barbarian - November 30, 2005 05:49 PM (GMT)
2000 posts. I mean no offense but if you look your top 30 members. Only 13 of them have over 1000 posts and 18 have over 500 posts. The problem is you have more loyal members then you do members coming in and posting. I think 1500 posts would be a little more reasonable.
Zidane - November 30, 2005 06:31 PM (GMT)
On that subject, I do agree. Set it to high, and people will not be to encouraged to post. after so many posts, we know that they are loyal.
Nitro Bahamut - November 30, 2005 06:59 PM (GMT)
lol, ok! ill set it to 1000 then! as 1000 is a good amount.
Zidane - November 30, 2005 07:48 PM (GMT)
gotenks992 - November 30, 2005 08:01 PM (GMT)
Yea it is good enough. I need it now....oh wait I'm staff.
Shugo - November 30, 2005 09:29 PM (GMT)

Um,it isn't based on member number it's basaed on activity.
Nitro Bahamut - November 30, 2005 09:32 PM (GMT)
well, a forum member from the start isnt an elite member if they are not with us anymore! lol, i have been here since day one, entity, khse, gotenks etc have been here too, to name just a few!
Ragnarok - November 30, 2005 10:05 PM (GMT)
cool! i noticed i was an elite member when i saw that the class banner things had changed and also when i had a lot more pm space lol.
hey nitro, you said that we could delete our topics right? how exactly do we do that?
Nitro Bahamut - November 30, 2005 10:42 PM (GMT)
yeah!
well....its a tricky one that.............you see the button which says.......uhh....DELETE! lol........if i remember...thats the one! lol
Ragnarok - November 30, 2005 10:46 PM (GMT)
lol, nitro, there's no delete button on the first post of one of my topics! the delete button is only on other posts!
Nitro Bahamut - November 30, 2005 10:48 PM (GMT)
hmm, wierd! maybe because you are elite member now, and your new posts "as" elite member, enable the option, not old posts. You can also edit topic titles, and have almost mod control over your topics! ofcourse, you cant pin, close, merge etc
Ragnarok - November 30, 2005 10:53 PM (GMT)
woah, mod control? cool! i've just got to make some topics now lol.
Khse - November 30, 2005 10:53 PM (GMT)
I think it should be back at 2000. This is something to reward people with. Most people will be able to accomplish 1000 posts.
Ragnarok - November 30, 2005 10:57 PM (GMT)
i don't mind really. we could have some kind of new reward thing for every thousand that someone makes but that's going a bit far.
Nitro Bahamut - November 30, 2005 11:15 PM (GMT)
Well, 1000 is a good mark seeing as at my pace of posting at 60-70 a day it'd take a while of being active to make 1k! maybe to be "elite" 1500 is best.
Capt_Barbarian - November 30, 2005 11:29 PM (GMT)
That's kind of why I said 1500 because alot of the currently active members have 1000.
Ragnarok - December 1, 2005 02:48 AM (GMT)
well, i wouldn't say that. i think there are only a few people with over 1000 posts who are still members. all the others are staff
Capt_Barbarian - December 1, 2005 04:32 AM (GMT)
Which is a whole other problem..I personally think there is to much staff =/ it's not good when your staff is around the same number as your active (normal) members.

If you want that, you probably have to edit those posts for that to happen.
