"Torchwood.
Outside the Government and beyond the police.
Tracking down alien life on earth and arming the human race against the future.
The Twenty First Century is when everything changes.
And you gotta be ready."
-- Captain Jack Harkness

The Entrance Hall Cleverly disguised as a messy tourist information office, this is the first place everyone sees when going to Torchwood. It's usually manned by Ianto and has a hidden doorway that leads right into the heart of the hub.

The Desks Each member of the Torchwood team has his or her own desk, however the level of organisation varies greatly. Each desk has a computer and a set of drawers, with just enough space to be getting on with.

The Autopsy Room Seems to be where Owen spends most of his time. There are a set of white stairs that lead down from the heart of the hub into this small autopsy room. usually smells quite strongly of disinfectants and has instruments laid out in wait for the next victim... er... body.
The Cells Of course none of the team really wants to keep aliens in tiny cells but sometimes it's for their own good - it's either that or run around outside waiting to be shot. These cells are small and dank and although they have cameras dotted about, a member of the team always goes down there to check in the evenings.

The Vaults Everything in these vaults has some kind of significance - whether its alien technology or the body of a previous employee, it's all bagged, tagged and put in here.

The Basement It's safe to say after the discovery of a part cyber-woman down there, none of the team are particularly keen to go down on their own. The back-up generator is down there amongst other bits and pieces, although Ianto is the only one who goes down there these days.
Jack's Office As the leader of Torchwood Three, Jack gets his own spacious office without question. He can usually be found here between missions and is very particular about who he lets in - so beware.
The TARDIS Now that the TARDIS can't move through time or space at all, it has its own part of Torchwood Three to stand. The Doctor also uses this as his base and home, so don't just wander in...
The Conference Room Possibly one of the more important parts of the hub, this is where the team sit through long meetings to discuss alien threats. Or have lunch and socialise - it depends on the occasion!
Cardiff Bay This bay surrounds the Torchwood Three hub and has always been an important part of Cardiff's industry. However it was allowed to go downhill over the years and although it's on it's way back up, there are still a lot of empty buildings which make perfect homes for a lot of unusual dealings.
Millennium Stadium The largest stadium in Cardiff, the Millenium Stadium evokes a lot of national pride. Rugby the main sport here and is supported by most, if not the entire population of Wales. This stadium as witnessed some amazing matches in the past.
River Taff Yes, you guessed it, this is where the nickname 'Taffy' comes from. Up in the hills the river is a mere trickle but the further down you go the stronger it becomes.

Cardiff Castle Cardiff Castle is a major tourist attraction in the city and is situated in the heart of the city centre, near to the main shopping streets. Some pretty strange things have been rumoured to go on around here after dark, though most people just put it down to superstition.
Cardiff Metropolitan Cathedral Oddly enough you don't have to be all that religious to be welcomed into the cathedral. This place is huge as you'd imagine and has some spectacular engineering holding it all together.
The University of Cardiff Lots of research in the supernatural amongst other subjects is done here. The good thing about this university is that they're not too bothered about the backgrounds of their students and take a pride in the fact they're very multi-cultural.
Fairwater Leisure Centre Opened in 1983, it is owned and run by the city council. Located off Waterhall Road, it serves the people living in the north west of the city. The centre is easily reached by Cardiff Bus services and contains facilities for everything from swimming to badminton - provided of course that you have a gym card!

St. Martin's Hospital This is one of the more major hospitals in Wales, it can treat anything from cuts and scrapes to broken bones and internal bleeding. It has witnessed many strange injuries thanks to the various things the rift spews out.

Bars, Pubs & Cafes If you prefer a more upmarket night out, you might want to consider one of the various trendy wine bars or the local Starbucks. On the other hand, if you're more down to earth, perhaps the nearest pubs more you're style. Then again, there are a lot of clubs to choose from...
Bute Park This vast open space was formerly part of the castle grounds, extending northwards from the top of one of Cardiff's main shopping streets which also skirts the river Taff. It's popular with tourists and locals alike, with wonderful flower beds throughout.
Queen's Arcade The arcade has two levels, and is unusual in that the levels are sloped, so that despite its two entrances being on the same level, the upper floor at one entrance is the ground floor at the other. A rather interesting design in which you will find most everything that you need... and probably quite a few things that you don't too!
St Andrew's Golf Course It's not often that a member of the Torchwood teams has time to visit a golf course, least of all one as expensive as this one! Then again, doesn't everyone need to do something different every so often?

The Hills As the name suggests, there is a vast expanse of hills just outside Cardiff. There are villages dotted here and there though some of the locals are more friendly than others - need we remind you of the cannibal villagers?!
Home Sweet Home Everyone has a place of their own, whether it's a rubbish little flat right in the middle of town or if it's a nice house in the suburbs. Just remember not everyone can have a mansion - no matter how much they want one!
