I'll write some pretty long text here someday, but to sum NEWS' history all up;

NEWS debuted in 2003 with the name NewS, which was later changed to NEWS. Not too long after their first single release, Moriuchi Takahiro left.
2 years later, in July 2005, member Uchi Hiroki got suspended because of underage drinking. Not too long after, in January 2006, member Kusano Hironori also got suspended because of underage drinking. In May 2006, NEWS went on a hiatus after their spring concerts. They returned at Johnny's Countdown 2006-2007 with 6 members.

Despite the suspensions happening, they're still awesome.

YAMASHITA TOMOHISA [山下 智久]
AKA: Yamapi or just Pi.
D.O.B.: April 9, 1985
Currently active in: The drama BUZZER BEAT.
Info: Released a single together with KAT-TUN's Kamenashi Kazuya in 2005, 青春アミーゴ (Seishun Amigo). Later in 2006 during NEWS' hiatus, released a solo single; 抱いてセニョリータ (Daite Seņorita).

TEGOSHI YUYA [手越 祐也]
AKA: Tego, Tesshi, Tegonyan.
D.O.B.: November 11, 1987
Currently active in: itteQ and an SP drama.
Info: Studying Human Informatics and Cognitive Sciences at Waseda University.
Formed the duo テゴマス with Masuda in 2006 and debuted in Sweden. Also a regular guest on itteQ every week.


KATO SHIGEAKI [加藤 成亮]
AKA: Shige, Shige-chan (as he likes to calls himself).
D.O.B.: July 11, 1987
Currently active in: Studying law at Aoyama Gakuin University.

NISHIKIDO RYO [錦戸 亮]
AKA: Ryo, Ryo-chan.
D.O.B.: November 3, 1984
Currently active in: The drama with Takizawa Hideaki, Orthros no Inu and an SP drama with Yamada Ryosuke from Hey!Say!JUMP.
Info: Also a member of 関ジャニ∞ (Kanjani8).


KOYAMA KEIICHIRO [小山 慶一郎]
AKA: K-chan, Keii, Koyamacchi.
D.O.B.: May 1, 1984
Currently active in: Nothing.
Info: Hosts Shounen Club with KAT-TUN's Nakamaru Yuichi and Hi!Hey!Say. Also has an own radio show, K-chan NEWS.


MASUDA TAKAHISA [増田 貴久]
AKA: Massu.
D.O.B.: July 4, 1986
Currently active in: The stageplay, Ame no Hi no Mori no Naka.
Info: Formed the duo テゴマス with Tegoshi in 2006 and debuted in Sweden. Also has an own radio show, Masuda Takahisa no MASTER HITS.
