Pedometer accessory to ship with copies of upcoming Pokémon DS games in Japan.
Today's episode of the Japanese Pokémon Sunday officially revealed the "PokeWalker", a pedometer-like accessory that will come bundled with copies of the upcoming Pokémon remakes, Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver
The Poke Ball-shaped device allows you to wirelessly transfer a Pokémon from the DS games into the real world and train it via the PokeWalker's pedometer function. For every step you take while wearing the PokeWalker the transferred Pokémon will gain experience and happiness, eventually leveling up when a certain amount of steps are reached. The Pokémon can also uncover items via mini-games and battle wirelessly against other Pokémon. Neat. Watch the Japanese TV announcement here:

Well, to me Pokemon seems okay, as far as it doesn't turn any gayer than it was before. Some of the games back then like Silver and Crystal were the best ones. Platinum isn't gonna be able to stand up to the challenge when they make these re-make(s).

For a long time before the announcement of Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions, it was believed by many that remakes of Pokémon Gold and Silver would be produced and released during Generation IV on the Nintendo DS.
The possibility of these remakes took their precedent from the release of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, Generation III versions of the Generation I Pokémon Red and Green, which were released in 2004. Based upon FireRed and LeafGreen being nearly exactly the same as Red and Green as far as storyline goes, the assumed storyline of the remakes would thus follow Gold and Silver very closely, with the player starting in New Bark Town and traveling across Johto, and later Kanto. Though disputed for a long time, these suspicions were finally confirmed with the announcement of the remakes themselves in May of 2009.
The best thing about this, is that Gold and Silver were one of the best Pokemon games ever made.

Agreed on that! G/S was epic. they invented the pokeradio, the pokephone, the custom pokeballs, the shiny pokemons, the pokeEggs, the pokechucknorris, etc... But, many ppl love this series. What about pokemon crystal ._.?
