~Darth Mystique~
Interrogation Room, Sith Temple

The room was dark with the exception of a dim light of a wall hanging lamp, which gave off a shadow on the wall of a young man sitting in a chair. In front of him was a table and another chair. He was alone for now, yet he did not know what was happening nor why he was in such a room. In the near distance there appeared to be some devices that were used for torture. Shackles were hanging from several of the devices as well as certain areas of the wall.

Then a sound of creaking was heard as the door opened and a rather tall figure with black robes appeared. The face was hidden for a mask was on the face of this mysterious person.

The figure walked toward the young man, but did not look at him until the figure was right in front of him.

"What is your name, peon?" said a strong female voice that echoed throught out the chamber.

My name is Aeric. Aeric Jenth.

Where am I? I can't see a thing in here. Where is my lightsaber?

The Dark Lady stared with the mask on at the young man. Though there would be no difference in telling if there was emotion upon the Dark Lady's face with the mask on or off. After the short pause she walked closer to Aeric.

"Aeric Jenth you say, well Aeric Jenth those are interesting questions you asked. I can answer only one for the other can only come from you."

QUOTE ( Aeric Jenth posted)
Where is my lightsaber?

"You do not have a Lightsaber, only true Sith who go through the training have one. So now for the other question. "

"It was you who came here, no one forced you to enter the Sith Temple. So I ask you Aeric Jenth. Why did you come here, why did you choose to be a Sith?"

IC: Aeric Jenth

I came here to learn what the Jedi don't teach. Their ways aren't what I see when I look into the Force. If there's a dark side, why not use it?

Did I really have a choice? When I had first felt the dark side, there was no way I could ignore it. There wasn't a choice, there wasn't a decision, there was just it. A will to see my true powers fulfilled to the greatest extent. I let the dark side guide me here.

She stood there listening in on his reasoning to become a Sith. To her it was the typical answer, and for most who claim this as their following never survive, for the only the strong have a place amongst the order.

"So you claim that it is your destiny to be here. Surely there is more to it than that? You seem unsure that there is a darkside, well I find that very interesting. To follow a path that one is uncertain even exists makes me think that you just stumbled on to this place without realizing the risks involved."

"It's either very courageous or idiotic. We shall see how far the path goes. What is a Sith to you? "

The masked Dark Lady watched carefully seeing if the young man chose his words wisely.

Aeric sighed, and looked at the floor, but didn't find an answer there.

"A Sith is a person who uses raw emotion, anger, rage, even love, to further their own power. A Sith is someone who will use any means to accomplish a task. But power isn't everything. On top of power, there will always be knowledge, because if you don't know why you are doing something or why you can do something why do it? The best Sith are those who are wily, who can win fights without drawing blood, who can turn enemies into friends, and twist a once powerful rival into a peon under their tutelage. " He said this with an earnest whisper, then looked up at Mystique.

"Sounds like you like the idea of manipulation. If so than it seems you may have alot more potential than I thought. Of course you would be tested on it much more than just a few questions. "

"Now explain to me in detail the Sith and Jedi Code and Describe each and compare the differences."

OOC: It's cool, I understand.

IC: Aeric Jenth

Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through Passion I gain Strength.
Through Strength I gain Power.
Through Power I gain Victory.
Through Victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.

There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no death, there is the Force.

Peace is a lie, there is only passion. This statement is wholly true. Peace the Jedi struggle towards is truly impossible. It is simply not pragmatic. The only way to have peace is to have martial rule, and the Jedi are optimistic fools for believing that peace can be achieved any other way. Passion is the true tool of a Sith, and a key part of the code. Juxtaposed to this rote is the first line of the Jedi Code, which is There is no emotion, there is peace. This fully embodies the foolishness of the Jedi. They are so strict; they are trapped in their own narrow views. No wonder so many of them leave. In a peaceful conversation with a Jedi, I would ask them how they survive. Most species in the galaxy experience emotion and the belief that is able to be lived without is foolish.

Through Passion I gain Strength. This is also a true statement. Passion, emotion, is the driving force behind a Sith’s power. It is the thing that feeds us when we are hungry, and an absolute must for a Sith. The second part of the Jedi code is There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. Another fine example of Jedi stricture. There is never only knowledge. Ignorance and knowledge go hand in hand.

Through Strength I gain Power. This is a natural part of the Sith progression. Once you grow stronger, power is able to be attained more easily. It is taken, whether by natural progression or by force. This is also the same reason the next part of the Sith code is correct. It is a natural progression, and therefore, Through Power I gain Victory. Once you attain more power, what is the point then to manipulate or crush your opponents? A goal is needed for the power to even be necessary. The next part of the Jedi code is There is no Passion, There is Serenity. This is not true, once again, emotion, even passion, is a natural part for most species. Keeping this away from themselves is a flaw that they will never see.

Through Victory, my chains are broken. As we win, and our strength grows, we are able to free ourselves from anything we need to be freed from. It is our right as Sith, our truest power. We can become independent from anything we want, including life itself. The Force shall free me. Through the power of the Force, which we were rightfully given providence over, we are freed from even the mortal coils that bind us. Our life force is able to be sustained in anything we make. That is the true power of the Dark Side. There is no death, there is the Force. If anything, this is probably the thing I agree with most in the Jedi code. There is death, but death is just the beginning. Though I myself do not know what comes after our lives are extinguished, I do think that there is more to living than the life we know of.

Darth Mystique looked at her apprentice with great intensity as she listened to what he said. She showed no emotion other than the fierce look on her face as if she was always in a bad mood.

"Interesting Aeric, now tell me what of the jedi. What are their codes and compare it to the Sith codes. Tell me what you think of them as well. "

She waited to see what the young man had to say before giving him any inclination that she was satisfied with his answers.

OOC: Nope Sorry my bad. You did fine.

Darth Mystique

The dark lady listened to the words the apprentice spoke. He seemed earnest and convicted with the his words. Belief is only the first part. She thought to herself as she looked down at the young man seated in front of her.

He needed to be strong yet he had not enough rage. She needed to bring it out of him before he could know true strength.

" Tell me what are your earliest memories of failure, pain, loss. Surely you have something that carries a burden on you."

Aeric thought back to his past, and spoke, saying

"A long time ago, when I was a Jedi brat, we were learning telekinesis, for example, moving around tiles. All of the other padawans around me were able to do it, but I wasn't. Some of the other children's tiles around me were floating, some of them were flying, but mine just sat there, lying, sometimes trembling a bit. I had failed. The others mocked me for not being able to do it, and that was the first time I felt hate. I hated them for being able to do what I couldn't. I practiced to myself, trying to prove them wrong, my past failures taunting me. About two months later I was finally able to do it, and when it finally floated up into the air, I pushed out with all my might at the child who had laughed at me. After that, he shut up."

Aeric sat quietly, looking over the things he had said, making sure that it was the best accounting of the time he could tell.
