I was wondering the same thing, the roster for that tournament you definitely needed a program and vast knowledge of college softball to know who's who.
No real progress at all, its been four weeks since I interviewed with Evansville, I was supposed to hear back within a week either way so I'm kind of annoyed. Otherwise its been slow going, havent been as many jobs open as there was last year.
Yes I met Whitlock a couple weeks ago, he's actually a Piedmont alum, so he saw my notebook and started talking to me, he donates stuff to our program every year, and i guess his daughter is an undergrad there now.
He was really nice, we talked for like 20 minutes, I was impressed someone of his stature gave a lowly DIII assistant that much of his time. I've seen him twice since and he's stopped to say hello.
The remainder of the summer of Buck has been playing ball all the time, this past weekend I was in Virginia, hit my first career homer ine one game and struck out three times in another against a guy who was 6-8, crowhopping and throwing 77, with ungodly breaking stuff. It's a fickle game.
It's turned out ok enough here, I've got no money or job prospects, but I've played or recruited almost every weekend, and I am still set to go to South Dakota next week and Illinois for Labor Day. So all in all it could be worse.
