There's only 1 right opinion on this issue.. Anyone who knew anything and didnt report it to the PO-lice... Ya' Fired

I'm stunned at the variety of opinions out there. Looking at you Joe Poz. Agreed not everyone knows everything but accoridng to Joe's GJ testimony, he knew for sure in 02. And after that point GS showed up with kids on campus. Those children had no voice. Those that knew did. See ya.

I thought TN's article was on point but I'm not sure I liked the details theme.

Asked about Rodriguez's reaction to the injury -- he writhed in obvious pain for nearly five minutes before being led off the field -- Jeter said, "He always acts like that when he gets hit."

Joe Pos on Paterno
I get Joe Pos take. He wants us to be more reasoned and rational. Sorry Joe the time for that was 9 years ago. They and by they I mean Paterno and the administration knew something was wrong with Sandusky in 1999. Banished him and yet there he was years later still hanging around the program. Paterno may have done a lot of great things and it is a shame that they are all washed away by this. But he has only himself to blame. He s not the victim, I feel nothing for him but shame. The victims are out there and how must they feel today watching kids riot in support of a man who did nothing to stop their abuse?

So we head into this weekend the Patriots are looking down the barrel of losing three in a row. Not a good feeling. Maybe Bill should cut someone else? Like the GM! No matter how well you can coach there needs to be some underlying talent there. It seems the Patriots are sorely lacking talent on defense. Schemes and packages are great but in the end players need to execute and make plays. Something they have been lacking for almost 5 years now. Last year they won because of Tom Brady and his personal +31 turnover margin. The head coach is certainly among the best of his era but his player picking skills are marginal at best. Gronkowski ,Hernandez, Vollmer and Mayo. 4 good picks buried by a sea of abject failure. Sooner or later some member of eth Kraft family will need to sit down with the GM and give him the bad news. He needs some help picking players for the coach.
Imagine next year Ortiz and Posada with different teams. It looks more likely now that Jorge says he is done in NY and the Red Sox are not exactly putting the press on Ortiz. Change is in the air.
After reading Mazz and others I think the Sveum and Lamont combo is where the Sox are headed. Although good things are being said about Lovullo.
Hey Ben sign Paplebon. 4 years and 50 million, get it done….

To TN and all those who served and still do. Thanks

Joe Poz is halfway through a year long writing of a Biography about Joe Paterno he has a vested interest in Paterno lasting the season. Plus I am sure Joe is a nice guy and maybe this is his only big f up but sorry this is the kind of f up that ends people.

and probably should

The Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to a deal with former Red Sox close Jonathan Papelbon, according to a tweet from Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia.

The deal is rumored to be for four years and “approaches $50 million” in value according to Salisbury.

Papelbon, 30, had served as the Boston Red Sox closer since 2006. Last year for Boston he posted a career-low 31 saves with a 2.94 ERA. The four-time All-Star has averaged 37 saves and a 2.33 ERA over seven professional seasons.

The Phillies were in need of a closer after news broke yesterday that the club was not optimistic about re-signing incumbent closer Ryan Madson. Madson reportedly wants a four-year $44 million contract, which is more than the Phillies are likely to agree to

Big mistake Ben, big mistake

Ripping off Bob P

Good:
Pass rush. Thanks you Andre Carter. I've forgot what it looks like to have a genuine pass rush. Makes the defense a lot better.
Brady's second half
Special Teams - Couple of nice kicks by Gostkowski. Solid covereage. Huge fumble recover on McKnights muff (teehee).
Gronkowski - Beast
Offensive Line

Bad:
Kick returns - Just take a knee whenever you field a kick in the endzone.
Injuries - Mash unit

Ugly:
Color Blind - Nice hit on McCourty by the whoever the f that was.
Team Intros - I cracked up seeing Trapinian and Moore not have their personal intro. It was just silent.

--------------------
Mel's newest 5/16/12 - I'd kibosh Pierce for the 2 games in Philly and hope the week off helps him for Game 5.

Smo, can I fire Coughlin NOW??

Slomo - Dec 19 2011 - I would say absolutely but you know they are going to win their last two games to mess with you.

Is it safe?

Al Michaels and son Steve on Howard this morning. Who knew Al was a huge fan?

it really doesn't get any better than Tony K to avoid the ridiculousness of Boston Talk.

shocked that Tito didn't get the Cards job.

Andre Carter MVP. Not even close.

Tim Tebow on Thursday Night? Maybe he'll rescue puppies at the half.
