And so it begins. Jake Long to the Dolphins at #1. Thank God we have someone to protect Cleo Lemon's backside.

I think it's the right move. They need so much and by most accounts this guy is as surefire thing to be good as anyone in the draft.
May not ever be the best LT in the league, but he should be good and a starter for a long time. Taking a QB would be a waste. -------------------- That yellow snow cone you gave me didn't taste like lemon, it tasted more like...oh you guys are asses!

I hope you're right. I"m just glad it wasn't Ryan, I would have gone to Miami on a three day killing spree if they had taken him. -------------------- Cliff: That's enough Normie, I'm waiting for an apology.

He's gonna be good too. But he's gonna get killed if he goes to a bad team. If he goes to someone like Baltimore with a good O-Line, he'll do better early on than in most other places. Wasn't the right fit for Miami. -------------------- That yellow snow cone you gave me didn't taste like lemon, it tasted more like...oh you guys are asses!

linemen picks are scary. more busts than you can shake a stick at. Was Walt Patulski an overall 1?

You win with the fat guys. Gimme a great line and the rest of the team will come.

I swear I heard people say Robert Gallery would be a Hall of Fame lineman. -------------------- Mac Daddy, on stalking my Twitter account:

yes, Craig. I was trying to think of recent names but drew a blank. the kid the Browns drafted turned out to be the real deal. Did the 49ers pick a lineman with the Pats pick? I think he turned out okay. there's always the Packers pick, can't think of the big boy's name. once he cycled down from the roids, he was toasteos.
the Patriots "blueprint" for building offensive lines is exhilarating. they do have a few first rounders sprinkled in there now but at the start of the decade, they built on middle rounders and free agents. The Broncos have been pretty successful with their system, even though it's probably illegal, definitely immoral. Bronco bastards. -------------------- rule #16: if someone thinks they have the upper hand, break it.

Trevor Matich? 1985 / Round: 1 / Pick 28
Did have a 12-year career, but primarily as a long-snapper. Hardly someone you have to waste a first-rounder on. -------------------- "2004 was for our parents and grandparents and everyone that suffered through eight decades.
