Was just listening to Mike Adams on 'EEI and he claimed the line for this game is opening at 23 points.

Yep. Can you imagine what the line for the Jets and Miami games will be if this keeps up?

In an attempt to bring some Philly flavor to this week's thread here's Inquirer columnist Phil Sheridan hoping the Iggles can at least put up a decent fight Sunday. He also posted another column regarding McNabb's performance against the Dolphins.

Then there's the Philly Sportsline website for the latest updates on McNabb's status for Sunday.

the one thing the eagles will do on sunday is blitz like crazy. their defense is still effective, even if they did bench jerome kearse for non-production last week. the biggest asset the eagles have is defensive coordinator jimmy johnson, who can be very unpredictable.

i still say the only way to beat the patriots is to put people in brady's face on every down, or at least present the appearance of blitzing and then backing off. he'll still burn you. and he's got the receivers who can beat the blitz, make a catch and turn a short completion into a 40-yard gain. but this is the only chance the eagles have to be competitive.

The Eagles can blitz for the first 15 defensive plays.

And then they'll be down 28-0.

which is what happened to buffalo and a few other teams already.

i think the iggles are still sore over the super bowl and will turn this into a physical melee with penalty flags flying and bodies falling. do anything they can to throw the patriots off their game.
