not sure what kinda setup u got but u didn't do something right..

back when I had my honda I was going to build a "mini me". This is a sohc non vtec motor with a vtec head on it. I bought the complete motor with arp head studs and a block guard(same as having it sleeved) for $500. Then bought vitara low compression pistons for $135. Was going to piece together a turbo kit for around 800-900 bucks(turbo, header, intercooler, piping and wastegate and all).

This setup, with a good tune, would have put down about 350hp at the wheels. One of my frineds has a civic coupe with a H22(prelude motor) with a good turbo setup puttin down about 480hp and he runs low low 7'

Blueridge has a very nice setup on their civic hatchback. I believe it's a gsr motor? not 100% sure but just some examples. Go on youtube and type in turbo honda's. You will be amazed at what little bit has to be done to make them fly..

as for the struggling to get into the 8's comment... i see my fair share of people in bolt-on mustangs and camaros doing the same... myself included... driver is a big part, even more so with decent power and fwd.

its a del-sol with a b-series and gt4080... i rode up there in a h/c trans/am behind the del sol... drove from greenville... went 6.95 @112 and then drove home...

heres some shots i took of the del sol

Ian Harkins is the Owner of the car, i just drive it.

it is definitely a street car, gets better gas mileage that his jeep .so he drives it from simpsonville to spartanburg to work when the weathers nice.

we drove the car up there from simpsonville, put the slicks on ,made 2 passes, changed tires back and drove home..

heres the video

shows you know alot about engine building, because a block guard and head studs is not the same as sleeving the block. although it is a good bit better than stock it is still not as strong as having the block sleeved..........

del sol was bad ass though...............
