Lucky the Dark Destroyer was the most famous Saluki in the sport of Hare Coursing in the Uk.

Great video! They are amazing to watch in the hunt, relentless! A friend of mine has six Salukis and takes them out to the empty quarter here in Saudi rabbit hunting. He is always trying to convince me to take mine along, but sadly she is very easily spooked and I am afraid to lose her. I would love to see her go though, I am sure she would have a blast.

you might find that taking her along and letting her get into the fray might sort her 'nerves' out, dogs being a pack animal and all, Ive seen nervous dogs change once natural instinct kicks in, its like a light switches on and they go from bing confused to knowing what they are and are meant to do so to speak |

I am sure she would absolutely love it, she is the sort of dog that would hunt dust. She is, however, also the sort of dog that when she is focussed on hunting whatever it is tends to grow rubber ears and in the vast open space of the desert I am not sure I could convince her to come back and I certainly couldn't catch her, perhaps with the other dogs though she would "follow" the pack. I will certainly take the opportunity to see him and his dogs in action though, he is a bedouin so it would be great to see how they work with the dogs. I think he also uses the falcons so a great opportunity, as women are never invited along.
