I got one of those to use with Isis and a pal we used to walk with - and then the pal had to move... I keep it as hopefully she'll get a friend one day. smile.gif Good luck with it! It'll surely work better than one leash through another dogs leash - which we did once or twice to the laugh.gif jestera.gif of the humans and the confusedbig.gif of the dogs.

I love my puppy, even though she really isn't a puppy anymore, and my mother oft compares her to a bathroom rug.

3 days in and finding his feet, been racing round the garden, last night tore thru from the kitchen, decided a detour was required, leapt onto the sofa using the laptop as a springboard, tore out the 'o' key, then raced off........

He is soooo comical tho, cant not like him. Everyone who sees hime likes him, been to vets today(assistant liked him), been in to work(everyone liked hime), been to kids school......etc etc etc.

Just gone for a sleep in his crate, can hear him whining about something, probably sasha or the cat.....

Some more pics of himself.
Growing FAST and getting more confident every day.
Sasha now beats him up when he gets too giddy, he is (usually) sitting on demand, and does 'down' when theres no distractions...
Cant beat a cuddle on the settee tho. Out for a last walk, feed, then 1/2 hour snuggle, lots of licking and grooming, and snoozy dog.
Loving having the lil fella.

Hey we got one too!!!! 370 round trip day after you! Doing well, been to poodle parlour, realising what a lead and collar are for, not always messing in the dining room, getting confidence but our other saluki big boy keeping in check! The only thing we can't do is find an appropriate name for a dog who will have such stature as an adult!

How about Jabbar which means mighty, or Majid - glorious, Nabeel, Noble, they are all masculine names. If it is a girl you could have Amirah, which means Princess, leader, Balqis the name of the Queen of Sheba, or Faizah, which means winner/victorious, or nabilah means noble.

I quite fancied a 'traditional' arabic type name, but.........Naomi(my wife) said, what about 'Paddy', he's from Ireland, and to be honest, it suits his friendly gangly nature perfectly.
We're having a rest at the mo, walk at 6:00 this morning, then a crazy run round the garden, then the pair of em have been play fighting and growling all over my kitchen for the last hour. Finally the little fella is out of energy!

Learned quite quickly that dirty pots cant be left out(he helps himself), food has to be locked away, and non of our stuff is sacred(unless we are present with corrections.)

Which pup did you get treedude, male or female......we met em all! Nearly ended up with the paler coloured dog, then realised he wasnt the one, and found Paddy(darker coloured like mum)
I can understand after only a few weeks that they are not gonna be as easy as a spaniel, or a Lab, but hes got so much personality already. Hes learning the 'heel' business, he's only had a handfull of accidents in the house, he really is as sharp as a pin, but you tend to forget he's only a pup, cos he's growing so big.

Loving the guy loads.
Lets see some pics of your pup treedude.

Treedude, if you are looking for name ideas just type in a search for arabic names, you will get lists of them.
The only trouble then is picking one.
I've liked jared, jamal, abishai, amira, shamal, shafiq, amina, ahira, jamin, jamuna, jamelia etc, etc, etc
I've also had a breeze and a storm too. tongue.gif

:dogrun:Thanks for all of your suggestions we may take you up on them! We went with the intention of choosing the last bitch, however there was a negative vibe with her and until we met the parents we were about to walk away. We chose a dog who seems to have the look and character of his father. Our other saluki x is a rescue (from eglr) and came with the name 'mango' which we couldn't really change but with my daughter called Millie, the rescue name of the pup midge if we kept it we would end up with Millie, Mango and Midge!!!!!!!!! We thought of Paddy due to the Irish connection and about a hundred other names too, we are at a complete loss for no-name but glad we came back with him. I work at a college and the animal care students have swooned over him all week, apart from suggesting that we call him chutney!!!!! Pics soon.
