Hi there! Welcome to the forum. Good on you for doing your research before taking the plunge. Can we see pics of your doby? I am a bit of a fan smile.gif I think that dobies and hounds make a good match for each other, I'm sure they'll have loads of fun. I don't know whether your planning to buy from a breeder or not but just thought to mention if you would consider it that there are a number of saluki rescues around over there- such as Saluki Tree of Life (STOLA) http://www.stola.org/

and Gentle giants rescue- http://www.petfinder.com/shelterSearch/she...sort=&preview=1 and http://www.gentlegiantsrescue.com/availabl...ailable_saluki1
which always seem to have a good number of young salukis in. There's a couple of threads on the forum somewhere where we're all cooing over the lovely dogs they have and us peeps on the other side of the pond wishing we could have one biggrin.gif Anyway welcome and we can't wait to hear about it when you get your hound!

Here is my Dobe girl, her name is Cala.
she's so High energy and loves to run and play, I thought a sighthound like the saluki would make a great running buddy for her.

wub.gif wub.gif Beautiful! And hounds love nothing better than lots of fast running, romping and bitey-face games so I'm sure they'll be good friends biggrin.gif

Hi and welcome to another US peep! I'm in TX. smile.gif
Thanks for posting pics of your lovely pup - She is beautiful!
Good luck on your search - I ended up with an afghan mix - who looked more saluki as a pup and less as she grew up wub.gif but I lurv her.

I love my puppy, even though she really isn't a puppy anymore, and my mother oft compares her to a bathroom rug.
