I love my puppy, even though she really isn't a puppy anymore, and my mother oft compares her to a bathroom rug.

OK, after setting off at 7.30, and a long drive to wales, fish n chips on the way, finding Lizzies Barn, collecting(correct) pooch, setting off home, dropping into mates farm in Worcester, Liver Bacon and chips in local pub with his parents, and finally getting home at just after 11 pm, PADDY IS HOME.

It was supposed to be a girl(calling her frankie) but it seems there was a bit of a.......misunderstanding........and the one we liked was a boy(now Paddy). Met both parents, lovely, mild, friendly(would be a great pair to adopt if anyone has space for them both) and found pup to be lovely natured.

Anyhoo, first day home, stayed clean all night, getting to like the security of his crate(while he still fits into it!)

He is lovely. Glad that he is settling in well. Crates are great tools, I have always used them with my dogs. Keeps them safe from chewing any cables or the like in your absence. Stella is still crated when I go out and she is almost 3 but I think she is half pirana! wink.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

What a lovely boy. Give him a couple of days to settle in , then you will really know you have him!!! Such fun!

Remember 'the walls of death' around your living room are normal saluki puppy behaviour, and it is also normal for new saluki owners to go bald with stress and hair pulling over the antics of the new addition. scared.gif

keep us updated! biggrin.gif

Oh hey you will have fun with that lead thingy!!
Does sasha like being attached to a whirling dervish?? Maybe I should have tried that with my pups and an older sensible dog to try to teach them manners......................Oh wait.. that requires that you have an older sensible dog, I just have saluki!!
It's a good idea if it works, just hope sasha is VERY tolerant!

Hey, we had walking to heel(ish) alongside a very placid Sasha earlier today. Paddy sticks himself in the middle between me and Sash, and looks a bit scared.

It all goes wrong on the extending lead where we arent 'heeling', and the lil fella dances around trying to pull the more sensible dog.....hmmmm
