Silence. It was something that brought comfort to some. It was an element that allowed your mind to wander and for you to just be calm and still. In a way it was a way to regroup yourself, recollect your thoughts from the day. This is what Zurian was doing on this fair day.
The she-wolf was nestled contently in the tall grass of the meadow. Her body was mostly hidden, though her wings stuck out a bit above the swaying grasses. The slight breeze was carrying the soft scent of flowers, and somewhere perhaps farther away, a river. It was very peaceful at this moment, the sun nearly peaking in the sky, with only the sounds of Mother Nature to lull her into a light sleep. It wasn’t like her to sleep out in the open, though this meadow was something different. It was safe here, at least in her mind. She couldn’t feel any negative presences, and her special friend hadn’t alerted her to anything.
Speak of her special friend. Where is he? She thought quickly. Her deep blue eyes flickered open, her view being the stalks of the grass in front of her. She flicked her pink tongue over her muzzle quickly before lifting her head from her delicate paws. Her wings spread slightly as she rose to her paws; the beaded strings on her thigh shifted and clinked together almost silently. She tucked her wings safely on her back again and lifted her gaze to the sky. Her ears flicked forward as she listened for any sign of her friend. Her hawk friend.
Though she appeared to be listening to something, no one else would be able to hear it. Her mind was ringing with his voice, Sergio’s voice. A small smile graced her lips and she nodded. Her tail flicked a bit as she began forward now, her steps placed carefully as to make no sound. She didn’t want to disrupt the peace. So when a sharp scream of pleasure left Sergio and echoed down upon the land, Zurian gave an annoyed look to the sky. Is that necessary. She hissed.
Her answer was yet another sharp scream from the sky. She snickered slightly and her pace quickened. Her head low as she was now sprinting. It was then that any passer by could see what was happening. A small figure dove from the sky toward Zurian. The she-wolf gave a happy laugh and jerked her head out of the way of Sergio’s playing talons. It was simply a game for them, a time where they could build their bond.

I let a sigh escape my lungs as I head my head low with disastifaction. I might have reached my goal for finding others of gifted abilities, but like always I found fault within these lands. For as serene and untouched by mortals they were, the meadows seemed rather lifeless. It lacked a spirit to keep it forever alive and breathing like the rest of the earth mother's lands. I will admit there is something to how the grass gentle brushes against your legs and seems to hold tightly that gives a sense of security.
Slowly I opened my eyes to this world around me as I lifted my head upwards. Again I exhale a deep breath as I scan the surrounding scenery. With my ears twotchin gI can barely pick up the distant sound of something screeching. So my keen sense of smell did not lie, so there must others. Flicking my tail around I could here the clatter of bone against bone (or a poping of the knuckes sound) while I concentrated on where this being might be. Surely not too far away.
Facing the direction of the screeching bird I took off at a steady jog. The grass brushes gainst my coat like a thick blanket made out of a grainy wool. Only the rustle of the grass against my tail could give way to my position. My thick pads absorbed the sound of each footstep. And as my ears swerved to scan for that sound, so did my head. With only one good eye I must always turned my more so to get better view. It's quite annoying actually.
Slipping my head just abive the grass line, I could see a bird swooping up-and-down -unfin-

Kyra jumped around the meadow's grasses happily. Her body seemed silouetted in the beaming sun as she bounded up and down in the grass, disappearing then reappearing in a constant pattern. Kyra's tail followed behind her as usual as she bounded around the area. Yet, hidden in the grass was the only reason to why she bounced so much. Her blue eyes darted back and forth as a pure white rabbit skidded against the dark ground. Following it with her wide eyes she flew up and pounced at it once again. The rabbit continuously changed direction and made her turn around and around until the grasses clasped around her feet in large knots. Yet, she still seemed to keep track of the rabbit. Soon she barked and the air around her vibrated greatly. The rabbit fell to it's side and shook uncontrolably. Kyra chewed at the wreaths until her white paws grew free. Walking to the rabbit she wrapped her mouth around the rabbits neck, cracking it's spine as she did. Lifting it from the ground she walked from the grasses to a more open area. The rabbit hung from her mouth limply as she smiled at the sight of her older brother, Caelan. He looked at her and smirked, "This would be..." he paused looking in another direction, "your fifth kill."
Kyra nodded happily, then walked toward him. As she walked past him she twirled around and the rabbit flew from her mouth, at him. He ducked and his wings flew up as he did. The rabbit went over his neck and he glared at her. She just smirked and sat, curling her tail around her paws.
