Asuka's head inclined in a short and simple nod. "Yes. Any rank will be given based on both skill and partial pack approval. For example, the Beta rank. Second in command after I is a vital role in this pack. I would not elect an official who could not handle the responsibility, regardless of their birth or their ambitions. Excellent questions."

Asuka was so utterly unruffled by the bitter winds, the icy frost surrounding him, no doubt, but he showed not a sign to discomfort. Perhaps his cold heart had covered his body over in the frozen sheen? It was of no real importance, but it did appear that he was ignoring the shivering of those he called pack. But was he really ignoring them, or making an indirect point? Did not he say this view and its semblance were a meaning in their own? What of the cruel air temperature? Could it not have meaning as well?

"Storm, the questioning falls to you now."

Forsi bowed her head, and nudged Storm, "It's your turn!" she said to him.
It occured to her that she'd stopped shaking all together. The cold no longer seemed to reach down onto her skin. The thick frost on her coat was probably the sheild.
