It was on Willow ridge that Rosalin sought a hiding place. Hiding wasn't exactly her problem really, seeing as she could turn invisible as easy as flicking a switch. Her scent, and her (to some) gruesome physique could vanish in an instant. So maybe it wasn't a hiding place she sought so much as a slice of beauty. Willow Ridge was, in her opinion, the most stunning piece of land in all of the Kadzait territory. Everything seemed to hold a significant meaning for her. There was a creek, reduced from river form, that trickled away from the Opaque River and into this secluded area. It had once been a giant of its time, surging through the trees and cackling away with its mightiness. But of course all giants must fall, and it was obvious that this one had. It tumbled and crumbled into this babbling brook. Once this place was a hot spot too, another giant. The tracks of canines dug up the slope side. There were many willows, which were beauties in themselves. Their long extending arms pointed which way the wind chose to race, and enveloped any visitors with a familiar welcoming and hospitality. This place was secluded, private, and best of all it was untouched. Someone had trampled through this Ridge and then suddenly....disappeared. Nature had taken over once more.

It was near the creeks edge, that Rosalin sat proper. She had just come from Anana Lands, after a quick encounter with the alphess (Edana) and rather strange character from Kadzait (Asuka). She had failed to catch either of the two's calling, only their home packs. In a haste she left, for Diggs had wanted to catch the luminescent bugs fluttering to and fro between the willow's branches. It was an eerie, but entrancing sight, which only occurred in summer at night. The only thing that could please Diggy any further would be a gentle rain to accompany the warm weather. Those were a few of her favorite things. But it was not night yet, the sun had not yet completed its fall. It was evening and the sun still fought night's coos and gentle tugs.

Diggy sat fully visible, contemplating the days events. Was she really such a horror? The creek's surface served as a mirror, which she stared down upon eagerly. Her hair was dyed many different colors, a rosy combination in the front bangs and a greenish erect mane in the back. The female's face was drawn in thin as was her body. Dark purple bags danced teasingly beneath puffy pink eyes. Her face was pierced many times over; on the lip, mouth, nose, and ears and with colorful studs. The rest of her body remained relatively plain, just a bleached white with the words "diggy" etched in black ink across the slopes of her left side. Around her neck hung an assortment of necklaces, and on her toes rings of all materials sat comfortably. So maybe, just maybe she sort of looked like a billboard. Bombazine could not forget the horrified look on Edana's face upon seeing Diggy's form. The alphess had evens stumbled back on her feet! But Diggy was not quick to lose her love of individuality. One look could not sway her opinion on her appearance. She was of course different. And maybe that made her beautiful, in her own kind of way. Not in the untouched natural way, like Willow Ridge. But in her own trampled kind of, toyed with, smirking kind of way. That trademark grin slid up and along Diggy's face once again, as she threw one of her muddy paws up in the air, as if giving a speech.

"Yes, I dare say Diggs, don't forget your mind set. Silly girl, who else could pull off something like this?"

She grinned a cheesy smile, down at her reflection, and even swaggered around a bit. She was beautiful! She would be loved here! But the reflection looked artificial, too fake, and so were her whispered lies. Anger soon grew evident through the reddening of her cheeks. She would never be anything more then a wasted wolf ruined by the touch of human beings. In a fit of rage, the female slapped the waters surface, distorting her reflection, her face. Her paw sunk silently, to the creek bottom, while her mind drifted away, lost in thought.

The afternoon sun was playing a lazy game of hide and seek through the various hued clouds on the horizon, the wind tugging those clouds this way and that to create a masterpeice in itself. The fading light, however, did not appear to effect the temperature as it was still relatively warm out: a perfect summer day coming to a close. Ah, what a troublesome thought. It was a rare day indeed when one could meet the alphess of another land, and see as well a rather colorful-no pun intended-femme who had claimed to share Kadzait residence with himself. To Asuka, this was just another day cut far too short. There would never be enough time in one simple rotatino of the earth for him. Ah, but one could only long for such a wish as for time to shift.

A hunting adventure moments earlier had left the brute with a sucessful catch, a heafty rabbit dangling from his jaws as he wandered about, searching for the perfect location to dine and to enjoy his hard work. His search, however, had left him with not only a fair place to feast, but also company, as fate had seen fit to greet him with the belle he had met earlier. But, she did not seem to wish for anyone to inttrude upon her now, especially considering she appeared about as flustered as it came.

Tentively, he approached her, making certain to make a noise as to give him away so that she would not be startled when he neared. Upon coming within fair distance, he had to lower his prize to the ground in order to allow the rich lyrics to drift from his maw. His voice tinted with the faint lines of concern, his molten orbs playing over her eyes, never faultering from evading her gaze.

"Is everything alright? You seem a tad...distressed."

The colorful combination of flesh and fur, skin and bone, had heard, felt, and tasted the sounds of feet, the trampling of nature beneath heavy paws. It was in the air, rattling the stillness. But besides affirming that the creature was somewhat larger then herself, Bombazine hadn't bothered to collect any more information. Rosalin was, I must say, becoming rather lose with securing her safety. But you do become lazy when you lack enthusiasm. It was a gruff noise which brought her head swirling round, only to meet the gaze of none other then the character Asuka. The challenge of his igneous iris' she met, with an equal force of not fire, nor ice, but the determination of nature itself. It was the first buds of spring, the new born pups, the sprig from a stump, that sprung from those puffy pink scleras and murky golds.

"Well, well look what we have here! It's none other then the fly on the wall. Careful sir, I'll purloin the aureateness right out of those oculus of yours."

The bombaster, which overtook the last sentence, marked her barefaced unease. It was only on a rare occasion that she was truly rude, and this was just natural jesting. Asuka was well educated, speaking in an intelligent manner, and also happened to be another invisible, in someway. So she took herself, and pranced across these facts. The dance spilled out from between her teeth, in mocking words. But it was not to be taken as an insult, or an advance towards unfriendly relations. It was defense. It was true, what the male said. Diggs was upset, frustrated really, with herself and life in general. It was just easier to ignore her emotions, shove them deep down within, and hope that one day they would not over flow. So she teased, she would flirt, and build a wall of jauntiness complemented by an occasional brick of candor. Asuka was a smart wolf, she figured her closing of the matter was obvious and that, he'd figure it out. Instead, Diggy moved on to the other, more consistent, fly that nipped at her brain, curiosity.

"So, the lady has been rightfully dubbed Rosalin Bombazine Digoxin. You may call her whatever you please. She wishes to discuss herself with the sir before her. Do you think maybe, he could begin this chatter, by offering a name?"

Diggs gazed still, at the male, amused. She remained hesitant though, only releasing small gusts of factual information along with her jests. She had time to sit and talk, at least as long as he did, in this casual manner.

Hmm, so the oddly hued femme had the tongue of an asp as well? No matter, he could be curt and shrewd if he truly wished it as well. Perhaps even better than she, though he could judge she was only jesting in her 'spiteful' remarks. He had done nothing in the ways to err is human-wolf in this case-and he would take the side toward divinity and forgive her her rudeness for the while in search of a better understanding. He was, of course, ruled by his mind, and the intensity of his own curiousity was plaguing him to a point of aggravation.

"A pleasure, Rosalin, I'm sure. My calling would be Asuka; nothing more, nothing less. And I do not chatter, my dear, I converse. You are asking for aimless gossip, of which I know nothing of and care nothing for."

ooc: -Heads desk- Writer's block. -.-

Diggs raised her brows, to the sound of her first name. It had been some time since she had heard it spoken. The casual "Diggs" was both preferred and easier. It was loose, no attachments. Diggs was a name you could say one minute and forget the next. Rosalin was solid, it would etch its letters across your errm, side, and never leave. It would latch itself onto your body and soul and never release. She did not need that following her around. But Asuka had chosen the most normal of three names given, so Diggs would just have to deal. She had said that he may call her what he wished.

So Asuka was the word put to that booming voice? She wondered if it had any meaning, for her name certainly did. She shoved the thought aside, remembering to respond to the male. Her expression slid up into a subtle smirk, while she released a softer set of words.

"I am not your dear, nor are you my sir."

She chose to avoid the topic of gossip. The female enjoyed it, it was interesting, new, and mostly composed of out right lies. But she had not meant to speak about lies, or fill his head with tall tales.

"Oh, this won't be gossip, I assure you. It should be more of a gentle exchange of words. Maybe, so that two creatures could understand each other better. What do you like, Asuka? What do you dislike? And why do you hide in the wind?"

Diggs moved forward, speaking her mind. Curiosity was her demon. It pleased her greatly though, to finally have some of the pangs quieted. The male was no longer invisible as she once was, she could see him. She had wondered, when over in those Anana lands, what he had looked like. The female had even requested he dropped his disguise. But he refused. Now she could scan over the sable fur, masculine form, and melting eyes. It was not clear whether she enjoyed his appearance. Diggs' mind was rather blank on those sort of subjects. The only case she really even bothered noticing appearances was perhaps if a wolf had been dyed a striking color or adorned with human accessories. Personality was more her thing, but even then the idea of relations never quite crossed the mind.

ooc: I know what you mean. Ugh, this was all over the place. Hmmm.

"And I am no ranting idiot ruined by ignorance and youth, so you will have to accept the fact I don't exactly come from the class as the rest of our kind inhabiting these lands. I will use the terms I am familiar with and was taught to use; I am sorry, but you will not see me bending to suit this place." His eyes smoldered for the faintest, infinitesimal, instant, narrowing to a degree in thought before retreating for their normal viewpoint. An odd character she was, and certainly just not in the way she spoke.

This Rosalin was adorned in a mix of trinkets; some winding themselves around her neck, others shimmering upon her dainty paws while the last pieces of metal were stuck in random locations about her face. Her left side boasted the insigna of a name, 'Diggy' written in a bold, formal scrawl of black ink. His curiosity peaked upon noticing this detail of her facade. What had happened to her? Why would she, a creature who had probably never deserved such a treatment, be sentenced to that kind of-would torture be the apt word-? He did not know, and would not until he asked, though now seemed the wrong time. Even though he was in dire need to understand the written, human, lettering upon her otherwise dusty white coat.

Aside from her piercings, perplexing fur shades, and defiant tongue, this femme seemed fine company. She was not bent on badgering him, as a fair few before her were quite content to do, and she had not dared to delve into his history. A grave mistake to question upon things which should remain thoroughly buried, never to see the light of dawn again, for they did not belong in a rebirth.

"What reasons have I to let the world see me? There are quite enough problems without my adding on to them; I simply choose to remain the silent observer. It is far easier than dealing with those who do not-cannot-understand you. But please, see that is not hiding. I have long given up in hiding, Rosalin. It has gotten me nowhere but directly where I started from; in the middle of insanity and chaos. This is just another side to the coin; another world to understand and perish in."

It was not a formal world this thing had come from. In fact it was a rather isolated world, and everyone knows that the kid who lives in a bubble is the weirdo. It turned out true in Diggs' case as well. Her parents were unique (to put it nicely) and growing up separated from other wolves did not help craft their daring, dashing, (and in their eyes) disgusting daughter into a perfect proper being. So the sudden fire and brimstone start that tumbled from Asuka's mouth resulted in a rather startled expression, at least the most you could get out of such an indifferent thing as her. Her eyes rose wide. You could see the cerise veins that trickled to a gold center, tainting its purity. The whole sclera was pink and light yellow, as if the stressed veins and overworked iris' had dumped their contents as a whole into the orbs and were then smeared around. Her brows raised slightly, the amused touch almost removed completely. The smirk, which found a safe home upon Rosalin's lips, sunk to a firm horizontal line. Eyes, ruined by a world of hollowed consciences, fell to the ground. They remained there, even after the scene had cooled. The hard line that was her lips softened, relaxing back to a default state. Bombazine listened to Asuka's words, though leisurely. It was his eyes which burned holes, holes which had recently been carved by Edana, through her body. She could feel his casual glance, slip across her form. Diggs, you are a freak!

"Hmmm, just another world to understand and perish in? I hope that you are wrong, though I doubt you are. You see, I was hoping this might have been a better place, some where maybe I could live a little. I was hoping this world might be different then the others. Quite frankly I'm sick of dying."

She contemplated spitting back a "What reason have I to let the world see me?" bit, but decided against it. Her mood was decent, only spotted with spoiled dots. Besides, the tones which Rosalin had emitted had been so carefully composed. They were softer and gentler then most times. Perhaps it was because her gaze was downward, towards the creek, which sputtered every now and then. She continued watching the reflective surface, which would show her true face, no matter if she was invisible or not. Bombazine's posture radiated a lack of everything. She felt like nothing. It was such a pleasant feeling. Perhaps it was this that prompted her to speak. She peeled her eyes, though reluctantly, from the water's surface. Her paw, which had been submerged for quite some time now, also withdrew itself and found a safer place upon solid ground. The golden eyes she called her own flashed a brazen look at Asuka.

"What are you thinking, Asuka?"

It was quite the temerarious question to ask of a seemingly closed book.

No, Asuka was not the prim example for his background, but he had lived that life. If only for awhile. He had been born to appreciate what was around him, for there was no greater gift than life. And then tragedy had struck. He had lost those dearest to him, each sliding away of agony far beyond compare into the darkest of depths, where not even the blinding rays of the sun could pierce through the perpetual abyss. He had shattered. What reason was there for him to pick up the broken pieces when he could recreate himself as someone who was far too hard to hurt? He might borderline the edge of callousness, but he was protected. The barriers he had erected to safeguard him had never been challenged; he had remained alone, left to heal slowly, painfully slowly.

"By all means live; I'm certainly not standing in your way and I see no one else around for the while to stop you. Be reckless and daring, I just don't see the point. This world isn't a lovely place. It would be in your best interest to take off those rose tinted glasses so that you might see this lot in life for what it is: a vile muddle of things." The frown had masked his face, his eyes having lost their intent, observing, quality about them after he had found no correct question to ask her. Truth be told, would it even be worth it? She held a disdain for him, that was evident. It wouldn't be the first time his outlook on life had sentenced him to exile. Fools they were, the lot of them, for not accepting difference when it was the only thing keeping this cursed world of theirs thriving. There should exist more like Rosalin. At least then there would be a tolerance about his race that other wise would not be present. Maybe then things would be different. But that was a very big maybe.

"Will you take this?" he questioned, gesturing toward the rabbit as he nudged it forward for her inspection. "This conversation has found my appetite lost, and I hate wasting food." He shook his head, gently searching for the sting in his voice, though thankful to find nothing to apologize for. There was always the hope she would not take that offensively.

Diggs held back a snort, tucked it away for a more appropriate time. She was far from optimistic, although perhaps Asuka was right on the subject of life. Maybe she was optomistic about life, because there would be no hope any other way. Maybe not. Lately she had not taken a liking (not at all) to taking sides. She preferred somewhere in between here and there, the grey areas, the fine line dividing yes and no. Maybe was her word, her life, her love. Maybe, maybe Asuka was right.

Rosalin's attention then moved from Asuka's words, to his prize. The kill was a rabbit, obviously dead. She would love to accept it, really she would. It was the first gift she had received in quite sometime, and such a pleasant offer when she seemed so emaciated. Diggs had all sorts of trouble hunting, especially with all of her baubles hanging around. The clanging and crashing they made quickly alerted any possible prey to head for the hills. Although this was a contributing factor to her dangerously thin appearance, it was not the major piece to the puzzle. Mostly, it was her fear of germs. It was constant, constricting her actions, and limiting her life. Diggs freaked at the thought of germs. They were everywhere, and (she was certain) they were all out to get her. So the thought of consuming the rodent before her, which had been all over who knows where and also between Asuka's jaws made her blanch. She swore she could smell each and every germ on that rodent. They were screaming at her, laughing at her odd situation. Haha, haha! Diggs, what are you waiting for? Come and eat us! We can't wait to ransack your body! Let us in, now. Don't be rude little girl. It would be best to just eat the stupid thing, and possibly throw it up later. She had been rude enough for one day, anyway.

"Yes. Thank you for the gracious gift....of nourishment."

The words were pained as the female attempted to keep her smile (this time crafted to a thankful expression) steady. It kept trying to slip down into a ghastly look, a grimace, frown, or dropping jaw. To hide it, she leaned in to begin eating the rabbit. Her tongue hesitantly ran across the body, knowing very well doing this was equal to committing suicide. Diggs, Diggs, Diggs. We are in your mouth. We're crawling down your throat. We're in your brain! You're infected, babe! Roslain felt a whimper scaling up her throat, and (to hide the sound) dug her teeth into the meat. Blood, that disgusting cerise color, began to fill her mouth with its metallic taste. Beautiful, just beautiful. She ate in silence, the germs whispering awful words all the way.

"For heaven's sake; don't force yourself to eat the thing!" Asuka spat, his jaws snapping shut on the plump creature's extended ears for only a moment before he yanked it away from her, sending the rabbit skidding across the dirt. His skull lifted, eyes edged with a feral tint of smothered anger. "You're acting as though it were killing you to ingest it." His eyes skimmed over hers for one mere second before casting his stare toward the apparently vile rabbit. Funny, it had felt as though the meat would be tender and succelent when he had had his own fangs wrapped around it in a tender embrace. He supposed the old saying was true, then; you could never judge something by its appearence.

"I should be on my way. I think I've caused enough problems without anything else I could possibly do to either offend or harm you this evening."

"But you don't understand! It is killing me! They are killing me!"

Diggs hissed, from a rather awkward position. As soon as the prize had been ripped from her mouth (which she found to be quite rude), her lips had pulled upward into a snarl. Her body lowered automatically to a crouching position, ears back, though tail held high. It was a defensive look, certainly. The words dripping from between her clenched teeth were acrid and shrill towards the end, the air would sizzle with their tone. Deliberately they were spoken slowly. For a moment, it might have seemed that the female would snap, lunge forward towards the male and (at least attempt) to tear him to bits. Her hair was disheveled, her eyes dangerous behind those rosy bangs. The white fur stood on end, bristling. A continuous rumble emitted from the slender snout. But anger never lasted long with this creature, and soon Rosalin's posture crumpled as the body she called her own heaved what could have been a smothered sob. The defensive stance feel apart into a vulnerable one, head tipped toward the ground, and seated. Shaking legs were her support.

"Of course you wouldn't understand. It's in my he-"

Bombazine's words had been soft, trembling, and lacking in previous enthusiasm. They were life less. But she cut off at the word head. Asuka wouldn't understand. The germs were everywhere, they drove her crazy. It was so hard to do anything with them constantly, screaming in her ears. She wanted to throw her head back and screech, carry on, and scream. Scream until her throat was raw, until she killed every germ inside of her, or at least threw them out of her body. How Rosalin had wanted to please him, just by taking the gift. She couldn't do it right, apparently. This whole "pack" thing wasn't right for her. It was better if she would have remained with the freaks. The thought of a past life, with Sheep and Harlequin (equally messed up), only drew her further from society. They were gone, there were no freaks to go back to. She was stuck here.

"Do what you please."

A frown touched Asuka's lips, his eyes shifting from the dust covered rabbit to Diggs, the molten hue of his gaze softening all the while. Wow, that was rare. He normally didn't get involved: period. It wasn't his thing. He was just far better off alone, with no attatchment to anyone. That way, they couldn't be hurt by his thoughtless actions, and he could not be consumed by their own feelings, whatever they may be.

Slowly, tentively, he edged toward her, the tip of his nse barely touching her skull in a reassuring gesture before he edged back, resting on his haunches before her with his tail moving gently behind him. "And where would that leave you?"

Bombazine let him touch her face. He could touch all he wanted, her face remained the same. Partially, embarrassment kept her silent. She didn't enjoy crying, she believed it to be weak (though she did not deny that she herself was weak). But one little sob, a few little tears, weren't worth pouting over, right? Still those eyes hid behind the rosy bangs, and the body stayed slumped over. After coughing around a bit (to clear her throat, not to hide some sobs, of course) Rosalin composed her thoughts, brought together some ideas. It felt good, she knew it would feel wonderful, to release the germs out into the air. If she sputtered, coughed, sobbed, choked or even just spoke, slowly she could eliminate them all. Besides, talking would only calm her. It would be good to say something.

"That would leave me at Titan Cliff and perhaps then Valor Hill."

She tried to look at him, Asuka. She tried to warm her words. But they seemed foreign to the usual chipper body. It was true. If her day ever was going bad she would sneak off to a bad land itself and wallow in the worse parts of life. Titan Cliff, Valor Hill, and Willow Ridge were here favorite locations in these lands. She even had hid some of her "treasures" at these three spots. Most of her jewelery though, remained at Willow Ridge. No one really knew the exact spot of her "treasures", sometimes she didn't even know herself. So in an abstract way, she had spread herself all over Sagnai Moon. Roslain contemplated showing him some, or perhaps giving him something. She use to force Sheep to wear jewelry all the time. But Asuka was not Sheep, that was certain.
