Out and About in Konoha, Just an average day...or not?

[Terra]

Akane stretched her arms over her head, taking a deep breath as she walked through the streets of Konoha toward Ichiraku Ramen for her usual morning visit. She often liked to visit Ayame at that time, as she rarely got a chance to otherwise, being one of her only non-ninja friends. Plus, if she played her cards right, she could get a free meal of Teuchi. She fiddled absently with the ribbon-woven lock of her purple hair, hoping for once that no mission suddenly came up this afternoon or patient in need of dire assistance. She could do with a nice, quiet day.

[MandaPants]

"Yuki! Yuki! Come on, it's time to come out!" Hotaru banged her fist against the front door of her best friend's house. She growled with frustration. "Why the hell do you have to do this to me every morning?" She asked, but it seemed like she asked herself rather than Yuki.

"I'm coming!" Yuki flung open the front door. She walked out of the house, slammed the door behind her, and ran off. "Don't trail behind Hotaru-chan!" She called out through her chuckles.

"You have to do this to me everyday too, don't you?" Hotaru asked once again and slammed her head against the front door. She stood up straight and began to walk in the direction Yuki was headed. What was the point in running? Hotaru would run and try to catch up, she'd fail, and then would have to hear from Yuki that she totally kicked her butt. It seemed even though the same thing happened every morning, it never got old for the perky Yuki.

"Ah--... Yuki! Look out!" Hotaru yelled out and finally began to pick up her pace.

"Huh?" Yuki had been looking over her shoulder the entire time watching Hotaru to see if she would finally start trying to catch up, so she definitely wasn't paying attention to what was going on in front of her... Then it happened. WHAM! She ran right into an innocent bystander!

When Hotaru had reached the scene she found Yuki lying on the back of the person she had run into...

[Terra]

It happened so quickly, Akane's mind took a while to grasp the situation. She remembered hearing a voice yell out, and then, when she moved to turn and see what was up, something - or rather, someone - collided into her, and she landed face-first into the dirt, winded. Needless to say, when she finally came to her senses, she was not amused, trying in vain to glare back at the person on top of her with hard, violet eyes.

"What the...?! H-Hey, get off!" She snapped with her regained breath. Yes, she could have been more polite, but given the circumstances she didn't see any reason to be. Her purple hair was a mess, her knees slightly scraped, and her stomach and chest almost completely covered in dirt. Definitely not a good way to start the morning.

[Kaz]

"Oi Fayt, look it's..." A boy started to say before the girl he was watching ran into someone else. It was Yuki he was watching. The other boy, Fayt, shook his head and sighed.

"Typical... leave it to Yuki to run into someone." Fayt said quietly, as he usually was. "You have weird taste, Utake. The girl you like is so... clumsy." He added.

"Yeah... but that's one of the reasons I like her, believe it or not. She's... well I'm not sure how to explain it." Utake said. "Come on Fayt, let's go see if she's okay." He said and picked up his speed walking over to the scene.

[MandaPants]

"Yuki!" Hotaru pulled Yuki off of the female she had smacked right into. "You're such an idiot, Yuki... Look what you've done. You might have hurt her."

"Oh dear!" Yuki pulled away from Hotaru and helped Akane to her feet. "I'm so sorry! I really am an idiot..." She looked at her from head to toe, observing everything she had done to the innocent girl. "I'm sorry... My house... it's not far from here. I could get you cleaned up if you'd like..." She rubbed the back of her head. She felt completely horrible.

"You might as well accept. Yuki here will only be down in the dumps all day if she doesn't help you out... Besides, I'm sure as a girl you wouldn't want to walk around all day looking like a mess." Hotaru suggested to Akane.

[Terra]

As the female bystander pulled the person off of her back, Akane found herself finally able to stand, brushing some of the dirt off of her outfit before observing the pair before her. The one who crashed into her she wouldn't know from a hole in the ground, but the other girl was undoubtedly a Hyuuga; the white eyes gave her away. Strange...apart from Neji, Hinata and her sister, I don't know any other Hyuugas...

Looking at the flustered, apologetic girl, Akane failed to suppress a smile. She couldn't be crabby to someone who looked about ready to faint from guilt. She laughed gently and waved a hand. "It's okay. I'm sorry for snapping at you, though I guess you can't really blame me." Looking at her crumpled outfit, Akane just shrugged. "Most of the dirt's off, so it's okay." Giggling girlishly, she looked at the two again. "I don't mind it getting a little filthy."

One strike against her femininity. Oh, well.

She tilted her head, observing them curiously. "Got names? Pretty sure I know part of yours, though." She pointed at Hotaru, smiling a little.

[MandaPants]

"But what about your knees?" Yuki asked, pointing at them. "Don't they hurt?" She looked Akane in the eyes. She had such a childish and innocent look in her eyes. Because of her size most would believe she was a child. However, most knew otherwise.

"Yuki-chan, really... If the girl doesn't want your help, then leave her be. There's no point in forcing somebody into something they don't want to do." Hotaru said to her smaller friend and looked up at Akane. "Hyuuga Hotaru." She replied to her question.

Yuki nodded to Hotaru's comment. She smiled brightly at Akane. "Hehe... I'm Yamashita Yukiko. You can call me Yuki, though." She put her hand out towards Akane.

[Terra]

Akane blinked, alarmed at Yuki's question. She looked at her knees; very little of the skin had scraped off, and there was a small amount of blood staining the creamy colour. She looked up and offered an innocent smile and a shrug. "Wouldn't make much of a ninja if skinned knees bothered me." She pointed out.

Her tiny smile broadened a little as the smaller girl held out a pale hand, and she took it without hesitation. "Uzuki Akane." She chirped in reply. "Nice to meet you both." She winked at Yuki. "And really, don't stress too much. I'm fine. Nothing a bath won't fix."

She looked at Hotaru, pursing her lips and debating whether or not to ask the question on her mind. The topic of family was a touchy one with Hyuugas, after all...or perhaps it was just Neji? She decided to just pop it, anyway; maybe the girl wouldn't mind. "Are you related to Hinata-chan or Neji-sama?"

[Kaz]

"Oi! Yuki! You okay?" Utake asked running over to the group of girls. "I was gonna say hi, till... I noticed you run into the other girl." Utake said and looked at his cousin, Hotaru. "Hey Hotaru." Utake said.

Unlike Utake, Fayt walked over behind his friend. He waved to the two girls, and tilted his head to look at the one Yuki ran into. "Uzuki Akane." Fayt said in his usual tone. "Your sister dated Gekkou Hayate." He said. "I heard about you from my father."

[Terra]

Akane blinked in surprise as they were joined by two boys; another Hyuuga, who seemed frantic with worry over Yuki, and a boy with dark hair and eyes, who was taking the whole scenario better than his friend. She stifled the urge to huff and say "What about me? You know, the one she fell on top of" to the concerned Hyuuga, instead turning to the other young man as he spoke.

She flinched at the mention of Gekkou Hayate, a frown creasing her face. "Yes...she did." She looked over the boy again as he mentioned a father...and recognised him. He was Uchiha, from the looks of his black hair, black eyes and calm demeanour, and only one of them acknowledged any living person as father. "And you're Uchiha Fayt." She said casually. "My sister mentioned you once."

[MandaPants]

"I'm perfectly fine... it's Akane-chan here that you should be worrying over. I kind of fell on her." Yuki smiled at Utake and rubbed the back of her head.

Hotaru allowed Fayt and Akane to finish before she finally answered the question she had been asked. "I'm part of the main family..." She replied. She had noticed the hesitant look on Akane's face before she had asked the question. "Don't worry. I don't really acknowledge the difference between the main family and the branch family. They're still family."

[Terra]

Akane sighed in relief as Hotaru answered the question, thankfully unmoved by the topic. She smiled in understanding and nodded. "That's a healthy stance to take." She remarked. She had to admit that there seemed to be less animosity in the family these days, or at least from what an outsider could see. Akane only hoped it was true.

She turned her gaze to Fayt again. She wouldn't deny that he was a curiosity; she didn't know any of the Uchiha family personally until now, much less one raised under Kakashi Hatake of all people. He'd been an interesting one. "How is Kakashi-sensei?" She asked casually.

[Kaz]

Utake smiled a little. "I know, but I'm still concerned with you." Utake said. When Hotaru and Akane talked about family's, Utake spoke up. "I'm from the branch, Neji is my brother."

After everyone seemed to talk, Fayt finally spoke up again. The girl interested him. "I'm surprised you know my real name, most don't know I'm a Uchiha. Only Tsunade-sama, Kakashi-san, and my friends." He said. "But it's Hatake, I'm not exactly proud of the "Uchiha" name. Kakashi-san is doing fine though, you know... busy with missions, and when he's not being lazy and reading." Fayt shrugged.

[Terra]

Akane smiled knowingly. "Very well, Hatake Fayt. Yuugao seems to know your father pretty well. I guess he might have told her...or, perhaps, as a member of ANBU, she found the answer herself." She shrugged. "Either way, it doesn't matter. Because I could tell by your appearance." She pointed at his face; his eyes, in particular. "Black hair and black eyes...and what I see in them." She lowered her hand, the innocent smile twitching at the corner of her lips again. "Let me guess...Ichi-Ichi, right?" She referred to Kakashi's choice of books, laughing lightly. "Onii-chan sometimes curses his reading habits. She often calls him 'irritating pervert' when she's in a bad mood."

Her violet eyes turned to the Hyuuga boy, who now seemed to acknowledge her existence. "Oh?" She tilted her head. "And what's your first name?"

[MandaPants]

"His name is Utake-kun!" Yuki said in a happy tone. Sometimes her perkyness was annoying, to others it was just down right cute. To Yuki, however, it was just how she was and she loved it. "Noooow... it's time to go eat! My stomach won't shut up." She grabbed Hotaru's wrist and then Utake's and began to pull them away from Akane and Fayt.

After getting just a few feet away she stopped. "Sorry guys!" She looked over her shoulder at Akane and Fayt. "I'd pull you guys along as well, but I only have two hands. You guys are free to join. I heard your stomachs growling!" She winked back at the two. She looked forward once again and began running towards Ichiraku Ramen, dragging Hotaru on her left side and Utake on her right.
