Sickness happens, even at the circus. Sometimes a performer cannot perform, and then who can go on? Remorini refuses to cancel a show and so therefore created the substitutes. These men and woman are called upon when a performer cannot perform, and can instantly perform any routine. As long as they are substituting in a live performance with an audience, a substitute can know what is going to happen next. This leads to a very confusing, disorienting, awesome, knowing, but ultimately frightening way of life.

What magician doesn’t have an assistant? And a magician as good as the one in Remorini’s circus needs two lovely assistants; two twin girl lovely assistants. Beautiful, with perfect teeth, these girls know how to sass up any show. Sometimes the magician makes them disappear, or has them saw him in half, or put a bunny under his hat; either way, no one knows how or why they appeared at the circus, but that’s the wonder of magic, isn’t it?

That rousing beat that opens up any great circus act couldn’t be performed any better than by the musician’s Remorini has found. Most of the men and women in this group played music before the circus, and Remorini allows them to continue on with their passions. One or two, I believe, even came to the circus looking for a job as a musician- what better way to make a name for yourself than playing an act at one of the most popular circus’ in the world?

Two best friends found themselves trapped within their small French town, so they ran away to the circus. The Ringmaster kept them together, and made them both sword eaters.

A group of sisters that ran away to the circus to escape their horrible father, ended up getting turned into mermaids. None of them are able to change back into normal form, yet they remain very sweet, caring, and nurturing.

He was once a normal person before running away to the circus. After joining, he was one day called in by the Ringmaster and told that he was going to be promoted. Sadly, he didn't know this meant he was going to be transformed into the dangerous Wolfman. Ironically, only on days where there is a full moon he turns back into human form, the rest he is stuck in beastly form. He considers himself a freak, sadly disgusted with himself, and carries the most hatred for the Ringmaster.

All were once normal height and then changed by the Ringmaster into 6-inch tall people. They are extremely annoyed by this and even more annoyed that they are always on display. Their biggest pet peeve: people that tap on the glass.

Remorini decided he wanted his circus to be the greatest in the world; in order to be the best, he had to rival the best and so Remorini took a page out of Madame Tussaud’s book and created the wax people. This group of eight freeze when the sun rises, becoming wax, and ‘defrost’ at dusk, where they are returned to their normal human state. The only thing differentiating them from other members of the circus is their completely white eyes, in wax and human form.

When he first joined the circus, he was very scrawny and frail. However growing up there, the Ringmaster took a particular liking to him, sometimes even considering him a son, and transformed him into what he is today. However this ability has made him very arrogant, and he thinks himself to be a ladies' man though he often turns out to be a womanizer. When --- transformed into the Man of Stone, he grew very threatened by it and thinks him as a rival although --- doesn't share this view.

Got lost at the circus at a young age, then found by Remorini. Her parents couldn't find her, and she ended up signing a soulbinding contract, so she could not go home to her family no matter how much she cried. Since she was known for shedding so much tears, the Ringmaster changed them so that after a few seconds they turn into diamonds-- however the public is told it is glass so they don't try to steal them. She has grown to be very stoic because she hates crying for the Ringmaster's needs, and this often leads to him beating her.

One of the oldest members of Remorini's eccentric circus. Was transformed by the Ringmaster on his 21st birthday as a gift. His entire body is of stone restricting his movement but still possible nonetheless, however at night he automatically turns back to human form.

Was transformed to have the power to control electricity, and therefore do such things as powering a light bulb with just a finger and no added tools to assist her. Though she is known to be very quiet, not much of a people-person and often considered mysterious or mystical. Because of this she just owns a booth and very rarely performs during large shows.

What would a circus be without a fortune teller? Pay fifteen dollars and you can find out if you’ll ever find love, or if you will come into money soon. Many criticize and say that a fortune teller is a fraud, but Remorini has his magick and has successfully given --- the ability of third sight. Unfortunately, --- ran away to the circus at a young age, from a household filled with misguided parents which has ultimately left her with a nagging self-consciousness. Although her abilities allow her to ‘read’ costumers- learning little things like if they are in a relationship, her skills certainly aren’t honed, and if you ever ask her to tell you details she will fall short- though not out of a lack of ability.

These two twins are the leading clowns of the entire circus. During shows they work well together, however out of them they are surrounded by tension. Methos Van Tango is considered the better half of the two, though he is often quite depressed, but is always willing to help the runaways. One of the best kept secrets (aka, only between the two of them) is that he's currently sleeping with Finley Cook, the circus' ghost. Murdoch Van Tango is the scruffier of the two, he's quite dirty in more ways than one, and is known to smell of cigars and booze.

However cocky they all are, they've a reason to be for they are extremely devoted to their craft and are really quite good, boasted to be the best in the world. They usually stick to themselves since they consider most others unworthy of their presence, but if anything they will interact with the Ballet Dancers and Acrobats.

A very smart and kind fellow, extremely skilled at his craft and a bit of a smooth talker. World-renowned for his illusions, but not one who boasts about it. Since he is bound to the circus, he takes great pleasure in exasperating the Ringmaster, and because he is so amiable and has managed to accumulate a lot of authority among other circus members, the Ringmaster considers him a threat.

This entire group is naturally extremely flexible, and can contort their bodies with ease. They are know to be quite mischievous and are often caught goofing around.

The dancers are expert at their ballet craft and acrobatics, and are very graceful. They often work with the Trapeze Artists in shows and hang out with them, however they are not as arrogant and are slightly more kind.

They are known as the whisperers as they can twist words to make any animal or plant (depending on their forte) comply to their wishes. --- Jappil whispers to plants, while the other two can whisper to animals. All three feel more comfortable with each other or with their animals or plants than with other human beings.

Appears very young, however in mirrors his true age shows to be that of an extremely old man with a beard to his thigh. At first meeting he seems very kind and really quite appealing, but in truth there is no question that he has some tie with the Devil, or that they are one in the same. Many of his employees loathe him, but fear the man too much to do anything about it. He is known to transform employees into "freaks" for his circus, yet whenever outsiders ask people of the circus about their owner, they are magicked to only speak highly of him.

Remorini's beloved assistants. These three women are very alluring and extremely cunning. They are often seen with him during shows and outside of them. Their words and appearance are sweet, but their motives are the complete opposite and can be quite brutal. When you hear a singing voice in the air that no other can hear, then they are trying to lure you into their trap.

Basically human dragons, though they don't necessarily breathe fire all the time, they can do so at will. They were transformed by the Ringmaster, and are considered to be his henchmen. They are the "tough guys," as rough as their exterior's make them seem, though can be seen during shows where most if not all of their tricks somehow incorporate fire.
