blood.
the simple words arouses the senses, makes you fully aware;
it's a craving that we all want, that we need to seek out.
at least you crave it when you're one with the night, a bloodsucker, a child of darkness,
a vampire.

welcome to 2015, hollywood, california; things are not the same.
most of the human race is gone, only few survive and we don't know how long that's going to be. the world has been overcome by creatures of darkness: vampires and werewolves – and they are still entrapped in the war they've been in for a while. a blood feud.
those that stand up, those rare humans, fight for what is right, they defend themselves, seek out the vampires and try to eliminate them.
there are still the helpless, the humans who cannot fight.
the poor, innocent bystander who doesn't like walking alone at night any longer – these are the people that those rare few protect.
a world of magic.
along with the vampires, werewolves, and humans, we've got the magic users.
witches. they aren't as sheltered as they once were.
they come in two types: good and evil.
just like everything else.

so here's the choice:
are you ready to enter a world of good and evil?
this is your decision, choose a side and take a stand.

[SEPK] rules and guidelines.
as a potential or current member of the site, you're
inclined to read these guidelines.
take note that the rules may change at any given time,
though members will be alerted of any changes made.
read the rules thoroughly, pleasekaythanks.
we don't want any misunderstandings.

    part one » registration

  • the first thing you're going to do when you think of joining is, of course, register. we ask with fervor that you do so with a first and last name at least, properly spaced and capitalized. Middle names may be used, but they're not required.
  • after you register, you should post a character application first. You are not allowed to post anywhere aside from the registration forum until you're accepted. If anyone posts outside of acceptance by an administrator, their posts will be deleted as well as their account.
  • we ask, no, beg of you: no tragic characters. the stereotyped 'emo' boys are exceptional, but not to a point they're so tragic no one wants to be around them. if they have a personality disorder that makes them like that, then fine, but heed the warning that not many people want to roleplay with a character that's always thoroughly depressed.
  • make your character original, from name to personality! don't have something boring like 'lindsey tylers' as a name! use something creative, but not too foreign. make sure your name isn't overused, too! it gets confusing with too many 'maries' and 'jacobs' running around. be completely sure you don't steal someone's last name, too. that can get VERY confusing and you'll be asked to change it.
  • for those of you who may look to register a number of accounts: you may not register another account if another character hasn't been accepted. meaning if you have jane as a character and you want joe as one, too, then you can't register joe until jane's been accepted. the character limit is five. however, if you have two characters and you wish to make a third, you must have a hundred posts between the two. if you want to make a fourth, you must have two-hundred posts between the three. for a fifth and final account, you must have two hundred and fifty posts on one account.
  • avatar claims are first come, first serve. if someone else has registered a character with a face that you want and they haven't claimed it, it's still up for grabs until the person has claimed it. don't even try pming an admin whining about someone taking your avatar; you will be given a time period of 24 hours to claim your model, and if someone has taken it afterward, it's your loss. sorry. it's basically the only way to keep members posting in the avatar claim to keep it up to date.
  • keep in-character. if your character's supposed to be a heartless bastard, no cuddling teddy bears and helping old ladies across the street. no surprise aspects of personality - if you're planning on having a 'weakness' uncovered in your character's personality, state that 'underneath all of their ___ there's a trace of ___ .' In so many words, of course.
  • this rule kind of fits into its own little category since it's so important and so many people are going to make this mistake if I don't point it out.. vampires and werewolves are not likely to hold a civilized conversation. a vampire can not befriend a werewolf. also, let's assume you play a good witch. chances are, they're not going to associate themselves with a vampire or werewolf unless they're trying to kill them - an evil witch could probably be on friendly terms with one of the two, or possibly both, and that's the only, say, mix we'll have with 'breeds' and such.
  • phrase one is 'i touched her 'ooh'; she touched my 'ahh'...'

    part two »roleplaying

  • keep in character. if you're doing an ic post and you want to say something to the other member ooc, separate the out of character text from the in character text. parentheses, different font color, anything, just separate it. i'm pretty sure the person you're posting with will be grateful and exceptionally unconfused.
  • SEPK is rated R for explicit content. swearing doesn't have to be kept to a minimum, nor to violent or sexual details. anyone on the site is reading any topic to their own risk, though it is courteous to place an [R], [M], or [PG-13] in the title of the topic if things get out of hand.
  • if you're logged on to your character account for tom and you post in a thread as gwen, you're in violation this rule. make sure you're on the correct account when you post. it's understandable - the first few slip-ups, you know, we'll let it slide - but if it gets out of hand, you'll be warned.
  • powerplaying/godmodding = prohibited. strictly. you know what it is and nobody apppreciates it, so don't do it.
  • posts must be at least two paragraphs long. there is no maximum to the amount you can post, but you must meet the minimum criteria or you'll be warned.
  • phrase two is 'it was the craziest thing.'.

    part three »out of character

  • please use proper etiquette when you interact with other members. no bashing, unwelcome complaints, or arguments; keep those inside of PMs; we don't want blood on our carpet.
  • don't spam or double-post. it's annoying and it's not going to get you positive attention.
  • just listen to the admins. they know more than you and you'll get your ass kicked if you defy them. =]
  • the third and final phrase is 'i love the girls who hate to love because they're just like me.'.
