Games are a big part of society today, kids have their Xbox's their Playsatation 3's, their Nintendo Wii's and their PC's. Well I've been through a few years of gaming myself and decided to share my top 10 music soundtracks, the music that made me really get into the game, and the music that I just loved.

10.Any Mario Game

Mario is a simple jump around platformer, yet you can always tell when you're playing a mario game jus tby listening to the music from a distance, it's catchy, it gets stuck in your head, and it's some of the most recogniseable music out there and what would mario be without the theme?

9.Contra

One of the hardest games released for the NES, with some great music to it, running around killing everything in sight couldn't sound so simple right? Oh Contra makes it difficult for you, get used to the sounds of ythe music to the level you are on, because you might hear it a lot.

8.Sonic 2

I love Sonic, the game is running aorund collecting rings, and killing enemies, so of course you're gonna need some music to back the level up, and the metropolis theme is a good example of the music Sonic came with. Indeed a very nice choice

7. Mega Man X

Man I love the msic from Mega Man, all around from the intro the music is just amazing, Mega Man X, you never fail to impress me with your gameplay or your music, bravo.

5. The Terminator For Sega CD
I played this once on an emulator, unfortunately no longer have the emulator due to computer problems, but this game had a LOT of good music to choose from, from The actual theme of the Terminator, to other original soundtraks, my personal favourite was called Taking to the Air

4.Silent Hill

Silent Hill is my favourite horror game, it pshycholgically scares you unlike resident evil does with the cheap jump scares, it adds it's own element of horror and has indeed an extremely chilling introduction.

3.DOOM

Doom was nothing more but a game where you ran around shooting a bunch of aliens, but man did you feel tension when you played this game, each and eveyr level came with it's own soundtrack and I remember level 5's music the most, as it wa sthe scariest track on the game, you ende dup wondering when the next alien was going to pop up, when you were gonna be dead, will you survive through this level and make it to level 6, for a basic shooter, the music definately helped Doom and it's popularity in my opinion.

2.Legend Of Zelda

Any legend of Zelda game can be commended for it's music, but I always love originals, Legend of Zelda's ending takes the game over sound that would plague many gamers, then turns it into a happy victory theme, very clever there to turn a sound gamers loathed into one they would be proud of when they won

1. Half-Life 2

Valve are geniuses, the Half-Life series could possibly be the best games I've ever played with some of the best music I heard and CP Violation is only one of those tracks that I love from HL2, it gives the sense of these Civil Protection units chasing you as oyu try and escape from them in their white gas masks a wonderful track in my mind and a wonderful game
