Materia Keeper
It is 1000 years after the defeat of Sephiroth and Jenova, and the only evidence of them both ever exisiting lies deep within the secrets of Nibelheim. The human race is now quite a rare race to find, and most of the planet has been taken over by monsters who, centuries ago, would only roam certain areas of grassland.

Materia is an even rarer gift, and perhaps the only hope of clearing the Earth of monsters to help rebuild the human race. Births are celebrated world-wide, and 'christenings' take place at Cosmo Canyon, all expenses paid by the Planet Government as they are such a extraordinary occurance nowadays.

The most renowned religion on the Planet is based at the Canyon, and all followers worship Nanaki. Many go on pilgrimages to the place to hear stories of Sephiroth and Cloud personally.

But the past few years, people have banded together to create their own 'tribes'. They all crave one power- Materia. And, as it is so scarcely found, theft is popular among most.

The largest group is known by the name Renura, and is solely based in Wutai. They guard the Mako fountains and wait for weeks just to retrieve a single peice of Materia. Some are scared the lack of Materia will lead to revolution- more Mako Reactors means more Materia, and the Reactors were destroyed hundreds of years ago.

Al was asleep, alittle out on the afternoon. no good reason, just liked to sleep when he had the chance.

[Lokkin]

Din woke up and rolled out of bed. Falling flat onto the ground and taken his bed covers with him. He let out a low grunt and clambered to his feet, throwing his covers onto his bed in an untidy lump. He looked at his clock and dressed before opening his slide door and walking out. The sun hit Din full in the face, beads of sweat almost instantly appearing on his forehead,

"I hate the sun," Din said plainly.

Al still sleeps, but suddently a bird hits the window, thus al wakens.

"WTF.. oh.. just a bird" *sigh* he looks at the clock.
"Well. time to get up I guess, I feel like some food" So he got up, got dressed, and jumped out the window, landing on the ground with a light grunt (2nd lvl up)

He ran to the restaurant that he liked, its one that opened justabout 3 to 4 weeks ago, he ran in, and had a seat.

"ho inkeep"
"Yo, Al. the usual I guess"
"yep" Al answered with a smile, and sat there waiting for his food..

[Lokkin]

Din watched as Al ran into the restauraunt.

"Geeze, he's just up and he's already running around like a mad man," Din strode towards the still swinging door, briskly sliding in as the door swung away from him,

"Ho, Al, how does this day greet you? With hunger, apparently."

[Red Fox]

Al turnes towards the fammiliar voice
"yo, Din... Yes.. like thats new." he said sarcastically
Almost every day, Al would run down there, and eat the same dish, not only where he a regular. but VIP of some sorts..

"and you, Din,.. you are as joyful as always at the morning..

[Lokkin]

"Heh, just hear to brighten up everyones day," Din replied, just as sarcastically, "do we have anything going on today? I'm drawing a blank right now,"

Din thought a second and then continued,

"Possibly because I fell out of bed, I might have hit my head, I can't remember."

[Red Fox]

"well-" he was interupted by the Innkep.
"here you go, AL"
"thanlks". he turns back to Din "Well. I dont know If we have anyhing special to do.. but I was going to take Em for a walk. its not nice to her, jsut letting her be at the stables.." he took a big bite "'*Munch* Why, do we habwe anytfing eltsfe to do?" (with food in mouth)

[Lokkin]

"I'm not sure, I thought we did, but I can't remember," Din said before shrugging, "can't be that important then, if I remember I'll tell you. Anyway, have fun on your walk, I'm gonna go and see if any of the other guys in the village wanna train," Din smirked,
"I feel like wasting them today, it's always such fun."

Din waved over his shoulder as he walked out the door, turning onto the path towards the pagoda, still standing tall after all those years.

"FeeYA" Al replied.
after he was done eating, he payed, and ran towards the stables, jsut on the outskirts on Wutai.

When he neared the stables, you could hear som sounds.

*wark, waark, wak* It was Em, Al's green chocobo, she could smell him from afar.

"Yo Em.. missed me?"
"Wark" happy sounding
"heh. i missed you too." Al replied as he hugged her.
"What do you say.. lets take a trip"
"Wak"
Al put the sadle on her, and mounted her.

"well then. let go"
"warrk"
She put up quite a speed, its only natural, since she had been in the stables for a week or so..

"heh. this is the life. wind in the hair, speeding along on Em. eyh?"
"waark" she sounded really happy.. only natural
"waht do you say, Em. lets go on the water"
"Wak"

The yellow chobobos can only walk on land.
the blue, on land/water,
teh green on land/mountains. allthough Em was not normal, she couldnt cross mountains, only the shallow waters.

And she changed the heading towards the water.
She jumped, landing a good 4 metres out on the water, and continues running

"now, em.. dont go too far. you remember what happened last"

Al riding em. she ran to far out, she sank.
at shore, coughing up seawater.

*Flashback END*

and she continued to run around, releasing some over exsessive energy

[Shenorai]

Shenorai saw Wutai just up ahead. It wasn't too far of a walk now. Instead of taking on a mission as she normally would, Shen had taken a boat to the south end of the island to do some sightseeing. The mountains were great so far. The next thing on her list was to see the old five-story pagoda and maybe even climb the carved mountains.

However, there was one precaution that all visitors had to take when going to Wutai. Even the crew members who dropped her off told her this. Keep your eye on your materia. There were quite a few characters lurking about Wutai who had a bad reputation for taking any materia they can get.

Shen made sure that hers was where it should be - embedded into the arm of her gauntlet. Sure enough, gleaming the green hue that they were, the materia remained there. Shen pulled her sleeve over her gauntlet, making sure it was hidden. She didn't want to lose her materia here. That'd be bad.

She noticed a chocobo riding out from the village. Hoping it wasn't a sort of materia-collecting posse, Shen picked up her pace. She pulled her hood well over her head and almost to her nose. It could go further if she wanted it to, but no. This was enough for her to see, yet so her identity is mostly hidden. Her right hand rested upon the handle of her shotgun just in case.
