Hueco Mundo Arc

I don't know if it's just me or what, but Bleach seems to be slowing down or getting angsty or something.

This last few weeks it seems that so little has happened. And this last fight between Ichigo and Ulquiorra -- where was it?

I read it online, and it was just long tense looks at close-ups of faces, and then some sound-effects, and then moody dialogue -- sparse dialogue -- and then more despair.

I didn't see a fight. I was ready for one, but I didn't see one.

The fights Ichigo had with Renji and Byakuya -- those were fights. More so with Renji that Byakuya. Byaukuya was more 'release-oriented', but with Renji we got to see them actually cross swords. Much better.

And Ichigo seemes too moody, like 'I know you're stronger, Ulquiorra, but I'll die trying to save Orihime.' Not very hero-like.

He used to be much more hero-material.

I know the Hueco Mundo arc is different than the Soul Society arc, but I wish it could recapture the momentum of SS.

It's not just you. I agree it's gotten mellowdramatic. After today's chapter it looks like Ichigo is the new enemy.

I read it just now. Very odd. Kind of seems shock-value this week.

Yeah, I don't like the turn that the story has taken either. It seems a bit angsty and it's getting just the slightest bit predictable. Ichigo going all Hollow/bakemono on us is supposed to be this shocking, terrible thing, but it just feels boring and anti-climactic. . .

I hope it picks up again soon.

This whole story arc has been a disappointment, honestly, or maybe the original SS arc was just too good and spoiled us/me. . .

The SS arc was very good. Be hard to top that one. This weeks chap was better, but I don't understand a few things. Orihime reaching for Ulquiorra's hand? And he turns to dust and blows away?

SS was a good arc. Ulq blowing away like that and Ichigo getting all Did I do that? to Ishida was strange. Ishida not reacting to getting run-thru was odd, too.

So Ichigo stabs Ishida while in Hollow-mode, and Ishida doesn't seem all that bothered, or injured for that matter. Everyone's been so out of character this arc. And now Ulquiorra died with that sissy fight? And blew away in the wind? What? Kubo-sensei, what's going on?

I still want to believe...

I don't mind a little Ulq fan service. He's a good character!

This week's was good. I like seeing Shinsui and Rankigu and Hisagi and all them again. I can't believe Toshiro got his arm slice off!

This weeks was okay. But I dont understand how Hitsugaya's arm just got back on so fast.

Still slow.

More Matsumoto and Hisagi, please!

Speaking of arms getting lopped off, what's up with Soi Fon telling Omeida to cut hers off? She'd just told him to run away.
