~ This is an advanced/literate RPG. That means we use proper English, know how to spell and use proper grammar. We don't expect perfection, but we expect you at least know the basics. That also means we expect you to be able to post at least 3 paragraphs (or at least 200 words) per IC post, not including quoted text (words of another character besides your own). We're also fans of Spell Checker. It's a great tool to use, so use it.

~ We are (somewhat) active so we ask that you post at LEAST once a week. But if you are going to be gone for more than 4 days, please post up a note in the Absence Board so we do not delete your account during activity checks.

~ Please do not take something you didn't make, whether it's part of someone's history, personality or description, and say it's yours. That's called plagiarism and we really hate that. It shows you have no creativity whatsoever and no regard for other people or their work. Put it simply - plagiarism is not tolerated on this site. We see it, we eat you. We also don't accept cannon characters from well known works of literature.

~ This site is a family, meaning we support and accept each other as we are - imperfect. Please do not join if you can't conduct yourself in a mature fashion. If you have a problem on the site, whether with a character, a person or the way something is being done or handled, PM one of the Admins (we're always around, I promise) - that's what we're here for. Do not post threads on the site and take matters into your own hands; let us handle it.

~ As we are family, we don't take kindly to people posting flaming threads, making hate speeches or attacking someone on site or off. Anyone that posts such things will be warned and the offending thread/post will be deleted. If you do it again, you will be suspended. Let's hope you don't do it a third time because then we'd have to ban you and we really don't like doing that.

~ Do not take OOC grudges to IC and vise versa. Just because someone's character hates your character doesn't mean the RPer hates you.



~ We actively enforce the COPPA law and anyone that joins this site must be 13 or older or have parental permission. This is a mature site and we don't wish to be responsible for you possibly seeing something that your parents might disagree with. If you join the site and are breaking this rule, we'll delete your account.

~ Your username must be a NAME. No "I <3 MCR" or "Ilovejellybeans." Each person is entitled to ONE account, but multiple characters per account are allowed. We will be using [ doHTML ] tables on this site and so just use the corresponding table with your said character.

~ PLEASE ONLY APPLY FOR AS MANY CHARACTERS AS YOU CAN HANDLE! I can not stress this enough. And when I mean as many as you can handle, you have to be in at LEAST one active thread with EACH of your characters. If you can juggle up to 12 characters then please, apply for all 12. If you can't and DO have 12 characters, we will start deleting your characters that have been in either zero or fewer threads than your other characters. I HATE inactivity involving great characters. Though your character may be awesome, it's no good if you don't play them.

~ This is a realistic, modernized RPG. In other words, your character MUST be human and they can NOT have super powers. It takes place in present/the not-so-distant future times. There are NO flying cars or other means of transportation. This is ALL normal stuff. Guns and all that jazz are allowed, as are gangs, but don't go out of proportion with this.

~ Before you are allowed to roleplay, you must submit a Character Bio to be checked in the Applications forum. Although you are not allowed to post IC until it is accepted, you are permitted to post in the OOC sections of the board. After registering your account, you have two weeks to post a bio in the Application forum. Failure to do this will result in your account being deleted as it would appear you lost interest. If your application was denied, you have one week's time to tweak your application to the checker's standards before it's deleted. If you have any inquiries or concerns, you may PM an Admin.

~ If you wish to adopt a character, please see the Guidelines posted in the Adoptables forum. The two week deadline still applies. If we don't see an Application, an Audition, or you've not spoke to an admin during that time, your audition will be denied.



~ This is a mature site. Swearing is permitted, but please don't overdo it (like all the nasty words in one sentence breath) or kindly censor anything you may feel is highly offensive (replacing characters with asterisks: b***h). If your post is going to contain sexual content, please put a note in the topic description, and again don't overdo it. No-one on here wants to read, in immense detail, about how people have sex. If it becomes so graphic (and only if it's necessary to be this graphic) in the thread and you know it will be ahead of time, please PM one of the Administrators so they can set up the thread to be password protected.

~ We RP in the third person past tense format. Don't post in 1st or 2nd person or we will ask you to rewrite it

~ If you're going to be gone longer than 4 days please post a note in Absences forum so we'll know and don't accidentally delete you for inactivity or put your character up for adoption. If you are inactive (inactive meaning you don't post IC) for a month, you will be deleted unless you have a current absent note up.

~ We do not allow the following:

Powerplaying: Making your character excessively powerful and impervious to damage. Nothing can hurt him, he dodges as if he was made of air, and all attempts to attack hit with dead-on accuracy.
Metagaming: Having your character acquire knowledge it wouldn�t otherwise know under IC circumstances; has omnipotent knowledge about most everything. Just because you, the player, knows about a particular plan out of character doesn't mean your character knows about it as well.
Godmodding: Controlling another character's actions without their consent or dictating the outcomes of a situation. An exception is if the person you are RPing with gives you permission to godmod (in that case, put an OOC note in your thread so we know you aren't breaking the rule).

- You may g-mod someone being let into your house or keeping someone out of danger, but if it's ridiculous or a little too much, ask the person you're rping with first before performing the action.
- Higher ranked characters (ie, mob bosses, gang leaders, chief of police, club owners, etc.) may g-mod to express their hierarchy over lower-ranking characters, but please do not abuse this privilege.

~ You may not kill another person's character without their permission, or the permission of an admin.



~ The max avatar dimensions (in length and height) are 150 by 250 pixels. Signatures (in length and height) should be no bigger than 450 by 150 in size. Anything exceeding this will be requested to be resized or removed.

~ You MUST have all your characters listed in your signature! Links to their profiles are not necessary, but all the characters you play must be in your signature. If you have graphics in your signatures, please place all writing underneath the graphics.

~ Do NOT make your images bigger (longer, wider, etc) than the browser window in both your graphics, tables, and profiles! I am SERIOUS about this! If the site where you are hosting your photos can resize the images for forums/message boards, DO IT! We do NOT need people having their bandwidth eaten all to hell and back because you didn't want to shrink your picture down. KThanx!

Chat Box

~ No Flaming, Advertising, Swearing, Etc.

~ No Spamming!

~ Don't flood the C-box.

~ Respect your fellow role players.

~ If you Fail to comply with these rules it will result in the loss of your access to the Cbox.



~ Remember that this is a realistic HUMAN RPG. Please do not use any magical powers, psychic abilities or things like jewelry and healing herbs.

~ Death is a natural part of life. No person lives forever, and your character will have to die at some point; you are expected to age them properly. Please note that the average lifespan of a person is 70-80 years (though I doubt ANY of our characters will be living that long).

~ If you want your character to stay a common citizen forever, that is perfectly fine. No person is required to join an organization if they don't want to. You can be just as involved with plots on the site if you're just a normal, average citizen.

~ IC seasons last for 2/3 that of real life seasons. That means, one season in the game will last for two months in real life. Please make sure to RP the time accordingly. We will stretch seasons accordingly and to the request of the MAJORITY of the members doing so.



Sex & Pregnancies

~ Characters must be of mature age (16 years) before they can have sex and have babies. Any younger, well, just disgusts us and we won't have it. Rape IS allowed, but only at the discretion of the Admins and the other character involved in said incident (in other words, your reason for having said character raped better be REALLY good or we won't allow it).

~ If you are going to have your character pregnant, you must get permission from the Admin and explain in detail what the plot will consist of your character and their said pregnancy. We don't need any kind of baby booms around here. It's just not plausible. Also, you need to be able to have someone playing the child/children and it can't just be yourself.

~ Pregnancies involved in rape are a rarity. We will only allow it under special circumstances (as in you convince us to let you do it).

~ Please do not use R-rated images, or anything that could offend.
