Hello and Welcome to Revival! If you are new to Revival, please read and familiarize yourself with the rules before playing. We love to have fun on the site and to have fun, it's good to know the rules.
We are finally open for others to join! Granted, we're low on members so if you manage to just take a peek in here, please let others know that we are now open and ready to start rping with you! Don't hesitate to ask for help in the C-box or PM an Administrator (ANY of us will do, I promise) with any concerns you may have.
--REVIVAL's Been Revived!-- I know that we've had a LONG hiatus, but it looks like things are picking back up again! I put up a new layout and hope to liven things back up again around here. So let's do our best everyone!
Penance, Revival's sister site, is almost completed and will be having its grand opening pretty soon! Be patient with us and excuse the lack of activity on my end every once in a while because of my preparing for the opening of the site. Also, next month we will be having our first activity check in a long time. No threads need be active, but so long as you, the account holder, checks in, that's fine.
From now on, our banners are on a randomizer so we will have various different images on the site that will pop up. Some old, some new. If you have a banner you wish to have added to the rotation, post it in the banner thread in the OOC section of the board. In addition to this, I WILL be putting up an announcement about the switch from Liquid Time to Semi-Liquid Time in the next week or so.
Have fun you guys and look forward to the new changes (as well as possible new members) on Revival!

Woot! After days of putting it off and hours of begging, Kenzie finally obtained glompage on the right vehicle, and now it was time to take that fated trip to the pet supercenter! Though she really did not want to go in these expensive clothing (She had just gotten off of work and was covered from head to toe in DKNY), there was no point in delaying the well needed trip. Good thing Enakai was being good today. It would be pretty bad if you could not even pick out your own food right?
But gosh, maybe Ken spoke too soon. She was not even given time to greet the employees of the store when Kai jumped off her shoulder and ran off in the opposite direction. Oh no, not again! Why did her little brat of a kitten always insisted on making her run a marathon? He would be the guilties being of the bunch if she suddenly dropped dead.
Kennie quickly chased after her kitty and made it to the toy aisle in time to see his choco-gray form snatching up a squeaky snake and running. She made it down the aisle and looked around the corner her Enakai had disappeared around, but he was no where to be seen. She then made her way around the entire store, but she still could not find him, and it was making her sad.
"Enakai, where are you??" she called out. Let's just hope he was staying out of any more trouble, but then that in itself was hard for little Kai could do, and the store was so big! He could be doing anything like harassing people or worse, stealing things. Kenzie whined softly to herself as she pulled her hair off of her face. "Ooh, he's gonna go to kitty jail!"

((I hope this works! lol))
It was time to get some more dog food, and, of course, by bringing the dogs along, well, that meant getting a bit more than kibble. But he didn't mind, since they were the only creatures he could splurge on, so they were pampered and lavished with as much love as he could give. Pulling in to the parking lot, Seamus found a spot conveniently right in front of the store and wondered if that meant his luck would hold and Cricket wouldn't get herself into any mischief today. He shrugged, if she did, he was used to it, but at least he knew she ought to stop the moment he told her to, she really was a good dog, there was just too much puppy in her to think straight right now. Seamus grabbed the leash with its double end and got out of the car to the excited whining barks of the dog currently in his thoughts.
He opened the trunk and she calmed down again, just as he'd known she would. Poor thing had anxiety issues, he was sure of it, but they were easily gotten over, usually. "Out, guys. Stay." He voiced the commands pleasantly, but firmly and the two dogs obeyed readily, leaping to the ground and standing about him with wagging tails and lolling tongues as he shut the trunk, locked the car and clicked shut the leash to each collar. As per usual, Bear stayed sedately by his side unless a smell interested him, which usefully kept Cricket close as well, since the skinny mutt could only pull so far before her older companion started resisting. The store wasn't full of people, which gratified Seamus to know that he wasn't completely out of touch with the timing of things. Particularly since he'd been planning on arriving at a quieter time.
The man took a roundabout route to the food, letting his dogs lead the way whenever they wanted, he wanted to see what had changed and to look at a few of the other pets, fish mostly, being sold. It was an fascinating place, and Bear needed a new collar because of Cricket's interest in chewing things. She was too old to be teething, so she had no excuse, but she obviously couldn't pay for the new collar. Seamus was just starting to actually look at the items he was passing when a small commotion set off somewhere behind him. He turned, but couldn't catch the words, nor the reason, so he kept going and found the aisle containing collars, leashes, and tags, as well as one very defiant kitten chewing on a rubber snake toy that squeaked every now and again.
It was now obvious who had been the culprit and he grinned lopsidedly. "Bear, Cricket, sit, stay." Making sure the two would stay where they were, Seamus dropped the leash and edged past the dogs, moving slowly so he wouldn't startle the little thing. It backed up a bit, eyeing him warily, but it didn't run. At least, not until he made the effort to crouch down, grimacing at the protests his bad knee made, and reached for him. That was when the little rogue dashed off, leaving Seamus staring after him. He grunted in resignation, then stood slowly, easing the weight off his leg just as a young woman came surging around the corner. His dogs flinched away, tails wagging and looked to their master for permission. He didn't give it or they would have been jumping over her before she could protest. "Come here, you two."
Then he caught the words she was muttering. "You wouldn't happen to be threatening a grey-brown kitten, would you? He went that way." Seamus caught the leash back up and pointed down the aisle, then left. He ruffled Cricket's ears, and smiled at the woman, wondering if he ought to offer her some help catching the cat. It probably wouldn't come to much, since he wasn't nearly as fast as the little snip, but he could always try. Didn't have much else he ought to be doing, anyways. Well, if his guess proved correct, he'd let her know she had an ally on this chase, if it didn't, he'd go back to looking at the collars.

"You wouldn't happen to be threatening a grey-brown kitten, would you? He went that way."
Kenzie looked toward the direction the nice guy was telling her Enakai ran off to with her lips in a soft pout and her fingers twirling around tufts of hair. She gently leaned her head to the side while mumbling a few words of how disruptive her little kitten was before turning back to him and smiling with her right hand in the air. "Umm ... thank you for telling me where he went! But ..." Kenzie folded her arms behind her back while looking at the ground and kicking a bit of dirt. "mummy and daddy gave me strict orders not to run, so could you help me catch him please??" Looking upward, she gave the guy the cutest puppy dog pout she could muster.
In truth, Kennie really needed to find a way to control that little bratty cat of hers. Maybe after this she should purchase a lease for him! Though the sugary pink owner wanted her little kitten to be as free as a bird, she just could NOT continue to run after him. Her life was short enough, and owning a pet that does nothing but have her chase after it only shortens her chances. With that said, however, owning a pet with a total lack of life was ... boring, so what else could poor Ken do? Nothing but find a way to calm the raging sea that was Enakai.
In any case, she needed to find a way to her cat to come to her without running around the ENTIRE store. Looking down at the nice gentleman's dogs, a deliciously devious idea popped into her head. Why not take the time to make Enakai jealous? He really could not take someone else loving on his owner besides him, and well, that was a perfect way to get him to come (Well, unless someone else catches him first. He was a fast little bugger after all.) Hopping closer to the nice guy, Kenzie smiled brightly while flashing her trademark pose, which, for those of you who have no idea, is her kicking her right foot out with her arms outstretched to her side companied with a wink and the tip of her tongue cutely hanging out.
"Hey! Are your doggies nice, mister? I think I have an idea that will help Enakai come to me!"

Well, wasn't she just bubbling with personality. He shushed a whining Cricket as the young mutt wriggled against his leg, trying to force him to say she could go say hi to this stranger. Oh, mummy and daddy? She seemed a bit old to be taking orders from her parents, but then, he'd been living with his mother for long enough to know how parents could keep their hold over you, no matter what your age. Seamus' blue eyes sparkled and he ducked his head for a moment, left hand massaging his right. And clearly, she knew how to use her good looks to her advantage. He smiled lightly. "Sure, doubt I'll have more luck than you though."
After all, he was her cat, not his and he seemed to be very smart and playful, a combination Seamus knew could prove disastrous. Example one: Cricket here. Personally, he would have suggested simply ignoring the kitten and waiting for it to come back to them, because no amount of chasing would make them faster than a cat that didn't want to get caught and it would likely result in more damage to the store. Apparently the young woman had the same idea, because before the silence between them could get too awkward, she asked after Cricket and Bear, both of whom were still wagging their tails happily. He glanced down at them, then shook his head in resignation. "Oh, they're nice enough. Here, you can say hello, just watch for their tongues." And with that, he gestured them free to go.
And they did, bounding forward with equal enthusiasm. Well, alright, so the mutt bounded and the retriever sauntered, but both were still giving grand doggy smiles of glee and happy greeting. Cricket, with her pointed ears pointing forward and her speckled forepaws coming off the ground as she leapt about for some attention. And Bear, casually poking his nose beneath a hand and begging for an ear scritch. Both were living up to their names exuberantly which got another, slightly wider smile from Seamus. "What's this idea of yours then? They're happy to help." He gestured at the dogs as he volunteered them, the remark being an understatement of the obvious.

"Saizo! Saizo! Heel! Dammit you rascal of a malamute! Come back here!"
But it was no use. His dog, Saizo, had already torn off down the aisle like a mad dog in pursuit of this cat he'd seen. What was with this old, worn out cliche? Dogs chasing cats...it was stupid. Stranger still was the fact that, well, Saizo was a well-trained dog. He didn't normally go chasing after cats as he did.
Haruto skidded to a halt as he saw Saizo's tail disappearing behind the next aisle over. An invisible sweat drop formed over his head as he sighed in defeat. "Then again, cats didn't go around jumping on his face back in Alaska, either." he mused before tearing off down the aisle where the pet toys were situated.
Just wait until he got his hands on that miserable dog! He'd not put meat in his kibble for a whole week! This was insane, pure insanity.
Haruto dodged several shopping carts, dogs, cats, and had to keep a frightened cockatoo from tearing his face to ribbons with its sharp talons before he finally managed to catch sight of Saizo. With a flying leap, he jumped straight over a Great Dane and managed to maul his dog down. Saizo yelped in protest, attempting to scramble out of his master's grasp. But once Haruto got a hold of his collar, he shook it roughly a couple of times which instantly brought Saizo out of his "pursue and destroy" mode.
The gray cat that had been the source of all the damage was attempting to escape, but Haruto grabbed a hold of the scruff of his neck and hefted him up so he could get a good look at him. He looked like a miniature wild cat...but cute with the largest eyes he'd seen on a feline in some time. The cat mewed in defeat, his ears folding back as its tail curled up against its stomach.
With a sigh of both relief and semi-defeat, Haruto stood on his feet, wrapped Saizo's leash around his hand four times and held the cat before his face once more to chastise the feline. "Now, you plan on behaving yourself long enough till I can find your owner?"
The cat looked back up at Haruto, mewed his response as his ears folded back, and Haruto nodded with a smile. "Good. Now then," he said as he placed the cat on top of his shoulder while looking around for someone who was possibly attempting to locate its owner.
Haruto walked passed a male with two dogs and a girl who was playing with them lovingly. Suddenly, the gray cat hissed and made a deep mew that was enough to cause the tiny hairs on the back of his neck to rise up. Haruto stopped walking and Saizo cocked his head to the side at the two dogs playfully licking the girl while his master looked at the scene.
For a brief second, Haruto looked at the cat and only twitched an eyebrow as the claws sprung out from the tiny gray paws and dug into his shoulder. "I'm guessing that's your master then?" he said before whistling loudly to get both of their attention and once he'd obtained it, he pointed at the cat on his shoulder who was slowly getting angrier by the second. "I don't know whose this belongs to, but could the owner please get him now? I would like to have my shoulder in one piece, if you don't mind?" he said while tossing a bit of his brown hair from his face and sighing tiredly, another invisible sweat drop forming over his brow.

Kenzie nodded and let out a small "Yay!" at hearing that the doggies were nice. They were definitely excited! That's for sure. She watched them approach her after the owner let them go, and she gently scratched behind their ears before squatting down and all but being attacked by their tongues. "Well, I wanted to use them to help make my kitten jealous." she said as she pulled away long enough to speak, "He hates it when I'm being loved on by someone that's not him." Boy, was these doggies ever playful. Now that she had doggie germs all over her, she knew Enakai would be very upset and would want to immediately cover their love with his love. She liked playing with these animals, even though the playing was short lived as she heard someone whistle behind her, to which she promptly turned around.
"I don't know whose this belongs to, but could the owner please get him now? I would like to have my shoulder in one piece, if you don't mind?"
Kenzie gasped lightly in both joy and astonishment as she quickly approached the other nice guy and quickly declawed her kit from his shoulder. She cooed softly while snuggling the feline with her left cheek before gently using her left forearm to squish the bugger in between her boobs so she could bap him onto of his head a few times. After the punishment was administered (with a few incoherent words spoken in her Native American tongue), she held Enakai by the scruff of his neck and turned him toward the one who brought him to her. The kitten meowed softly as an apology to digging its claws into his shoulder, and dear Kenzie turned him around to face her while she grabbed her purse, her cheeks puffed out cutely.
"That's it buddy! You're getting a leash!" she grumbled while opening her purse and shoving the poor thing into it, him protesting loudly against the actions. Tightly clasping the item close, Ken gently set it onto the ground and scuttled toward the first guy, hugging him gently with her right cheek leaning against his chest. "Thank you so much for telling me where Enakai went to even if we didn't get to follow him!" She smiled to him gently before twirling around a few times while singing a few "la la"s and running toward the other guy, glomping him clearly off his feet and onto the ground.
Kennie giggled lightly as she gently clamped her arms around the nice guy's neck as a child would when greeting their parents at the front door from a day at work. "Thank you, thank you, thank you soooo much for bringing him here! I really appreciate it, but I'm sorry your shoulder had to get sacrificed in the process." Pouting softly, Kenzie removed her grip from his neck, gently moved back his short from over the injured shoulder, and kissed it carefully. "There! That's better, isn't it?" She smiled brightly to him while swaying slightly in his lap, again singing various "la la"s in a childlike voice. The poor girl had stayed there for a moment or two in her state of bliss before realizing that she was no longer standing!
Hopping up quickly, she squealed loudly while taking hold of the person's hand who she had obviously knocked down and helping him up. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" she stated while bowing her head down like a child who was being scolded. Kenzie happily skipped in between the two guys while laughing cutely. "Maybe I should introduce myself! I'm Kenzie. Kenzie Lewis. It's nice to meet you two!"

Watching her get attacked by dogs anxious to be loved by anyone and everyone, Seamus couldn't lose his light smile, but he listened to her plan and nodded thoughtfully. It was always worth a try, almost anything was really. "Well, at least you know he likes you. We'll give it a fe-" Or maybe they wouldn't even have to wait that long. Seamus turned his head at the whistle, as did his dogs, though they stayed where they were. And what did they see, but that escapee kitten riding back in style on a young man's shoulder, and apparently he was abusing the privilege. He shook his head in denial of ownership as well as in sympathetic agreement towards how sharp cats claws could be.
Cricket and Bear meanwhile, were taking advantage of this lapse of attention as their owner watched the kitten get punished to approach this new dog. Their tails weren't nearly as expressive this time, but they were friendly enough, though Cricket did give Bear pride of place. Seamus got ready to call them off te moment trouble started or he was told the dog didn't appreciate others, but somehow, he didn't think the other man was foolish enough to bring a solitary dog into a pet store where other pets would, obviuosly, be wandering around. It just didn't make sense, really, it didn't.
And suddenly he was being attacked himself. At least, that was the impression he received momentarily from his confused brain before he connected with it again. Without realising he was doing it, Seamus automatically wrapped her shoulders in a one-armed hug to return the favor. It was more of a companionable, thanks for the hug, sort of thing and he let her go even before she released him. Not because he didn't like hugs or thought she was being rather too enthusiastic, though that latter he wasn't sure about, but because he hadn't been hugged like that for a long, long while. Seamus blinked at the memory, was shocked by it so that he froze for an instant, but then the woman had leapt upon the newcomer and they had toppled to the floor together, breaking him free with a small laugh.
And here he'd thought this would be a quick, quiet trip with little to distract him. Well, it could still be quick, but it could not possibly be considered quiet, not after that, nor was he able to remain undistracted. It was quite the show. It was also a very unconventional way to say thank you, but it made her gratitude clear and left not a doubt in his mind that she appreciated having her cat back. Seamus winced at her squeal as she jumped back to her feet and had to resist the urge to dig a finger in his ear in case it had made him deaf. He changed the action to a gentle pat of old Bear's head, the golden retriever had gotten put out by all the activity and had dragged Cricket along with him to flop down at their master's feet after being acknowledged.
"And a pleasure to meet you, Miss Lewis. I'm Seamus Dougall." He might have omitted his last name to make sure that she could only call him by his first name, but since that would mean he'd have to return the favor, he decided against it. Last names was far more polite, even if it could be bothersome. Then, just so that the poor, forlorn looking mutt at his feet wouldn't feel left out, he ruffled her ears lazily and added, with a genle twist of humour. "And this here is Cricket, she's glad to meet anyone. The lazy lad is Bear." The Newfoundland accent he'd always had showed up more clearly as he became more comfortable with this unplanned meet and greet and the two strangers who were taking part in it.
((Don't really know how one might go about writing out a Newfie accent, so we'll just pretend, shall we?*grins*))

Happy to have the cat pried off of his shoulders by his cute owner, Haruto was about to just wave and bid them farewell. However, the way the young girl hugged onto the older man with the two dogs (who were eying Saizo curiously as was the malamute to them) caused him to smile. She seemed genuinely grateful so there was nothing too big of a deal for him. He was, as always, happy to help out when he could.
His eyes caught sight of Saizo cocking his head to the side curiously at the other man's dogs. It was rare for him to run into dogs equally as large (or handsome) as himself. Then again, Saizo considered himself to be a lady killer. Quite the popular brute during his championship sled dog days.
Before he could comment on his dog behaving himself, Haruto suddenly heard someone squealing so loud that he immediately whipped his head up to see what had happened and if another animal had gotten loose. Unfortunately, the "animal" that was loose was the cat's owner and she was throwing herself on him; so hard that they came crashing onto the floor (Haruto taking the full brunt of the fall, of course). A gruff grunt left his lips as he winced, squeezing one eye tightly shut from both the pain of his fall and the nuzzlings of the girl on top of him.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you soooo much for bringing him here! I really appreciate it, but I'm sorry your shoulder had to get sacrificed in the process." Pouting softly, the girl removed her grip from his neck, gently moved back his shirt from over the injured shoulder, and kissed it carefully which caused Haru to blush a bit. "There! That's better, isn't it?"
Haru's only response was silence. And silence seemed the best answer at the moment because the girl didn't even give him time to respond. She soon realized that they were now on the floor instead of standing like, well, normal humans should be doing.
Oh, I'm so sorry!" she stated while bowing her head down like a child who was being scolded. She then happily skipped in between the two guys while laughing cutely. "Maybe I should introduce myself! I'm Kenzie. Kenzie Lewis. It's nice to meet you two!"
Saizo bumped his flank up against his master's leg and he only quirked a brow at the malamute before running a hand through his own deep brown locks. Quietly he smiled and listened to the other male speaking. "And a pleasure to meet you, Miss Lewis. I'm Seamus Dougall."
Haruto's nose wrinkled slightly as he tried to place the accent. Definitely European...but from what region, he couldn't quite gather. Perhaps he should have paid a bit more attention during his Geography studies.
-Oh well. Not like it matters now in any case.-
"And this here is Cricket, she's glad to meet anyone. The lazy lad is Bear."
The young musician scratched the back of his head shyly as he let out a pleasant chuckle. "Well, I guess it's my turn then. I'm Haruto Yamazaki and this is Saizo, my rowdy malamute." he said while scratching the dog behind the ears and his hand was rewarded with a generous lick. After giving the brute a noogie, he smiled back at the other two. "It's a pleasure. And I would say it was a pleasure meeting your cat, Kenzie, but I could do without such a work out ever again if you know what I mean."
Haru was all about staying fit and healthy, but chasing down his dog who was pursuing a cat in the middle of a pet store was not his idea of an ideal workout.

"And a pleasure to meet you, Miss Lewis. I'm Seamus Dougall, and this here is Cricket, she's glad to meet anyone. The lazy lad is Bear."
Kneeling down somewhat in front of Seamus, Ken happily waved to him and his pets before nuzzling each one on the nose, receiving generous licks as she did so. Pulling away, she slide her way to her purse to let Enakai out of his prison when the second nice guy began speaking.
"Well, I guess it's my turn then. I'm Haruto Yamazaki and this is Saizo, my rowdy malamute." Kennie giggled generously as she witnessed the interaction between owner and pet. What a beautiful thing to ever have the chance to see. "It's a pleasure. And I would say it was a pleasure meeting your cat, Kenzie, but I could do without such a work out ever again if you know what I mean."
Kenzie pouted softly as her hand gently stroked her kitten's head as she sat on the floor and placed her thighs together. She truly understood what Mr. Haruto was saying and even felt somewhat sorry. Though she did not know the details, she was quite sure he did not find running through a pet store after a delinquent kitty invigorating. "I'm really sorry about that, Mr. Haruto. Enakai can be really good when he wants to be though!" Kenzie brought the kit's small head toward her face and snuggled it with her cheek. "Please don't let your first impression of him be too bad, okay?"
Scrambling from her cutely sat position, Kenzie carefully placed Enakai onto her head while scooping her purse into her arms. She then turned to the two males and began flailing her arms wildly. "Hey! I need something to contain this little sea monster. Would you two mind helping me choose a leash for him?" Gently thumping the feline on the head when she heard it meow softly, she skipped around the nearest corner which lead to the aisle containing the leashes before realizing her two new male friends were not following her. Kenzie then shuffled to the end of the aisle she was currently on, poked her head around the corner, and stuck out her tongue. "Come on you guys! We'll make an adventure out of it!"

Needless to say, Seamus was rather startled by the way things progressed so quickly from meeting to friends. Or at least, that was the message he was getting from the younger woman, perhaps she was always like this though. Well, it was pleasant to find someone so comfortable with others, but it wasn't helping him much! Seamus shook his head and gave a crooked little smile to no one in particular as she scooped up her cat and placed him firmly on her head before announcing that she was going to look for a leash.
Being invited along was something that he realised he probably should have expected, but it still surprised him. His small smile widened into an amused grin and he chanced a look at Haruto, raising his eyebrow with a bit of a sardonic expression. Oh sure, Seamus was pleased enough, he supposed, with being included. He hadn't been out much and couldn't name any friends apart from his dogs, so it was probably a good thing for him, and seeing them go into a frenzy over this Miss Lewis was gladening, to say the least. But he could already tell that Kenzie didn't let much stand in the way of her being bubbly.
Then, when she poked her head back around the corner, he rolled his eyes heavenward with a comical exaggeration, just to show he didn't mean it. "Coming, Miss Lewis, but you'll have to help me with a new collar for Bear. Cricket," That last he addressed to the mutt, waiting for only a second to be sure he had her attention. "leash." The hyper mix perked up her ears, then promptly caught up the looped end of the leash that Seamus had dropped to the floor earlier and pushed her nose beneath his hand so that he could grab it from her and lovingly ruffle her ears at almost the same time.
"You coming?" Seamus grinned lightly at Haruto and Saizo, managing somehow to include both in one glance. Then the man started to follow after this crazy cat and its lady. His dogs trotting quietly at his side with wagging tails and lolling tongues, content to be with him and on an adventure. His limp was easily noticeable, but it wasn't nearly as pronounced as it could get and he'd long since gotten used to compensating for it.

"I'm really sorry about that, Mr. Haruto. Enakai can be really good when he wants to be though!" Kenzie brought the kit's small head toward her face and snuggled it with her cheek while Haruto wrinkled his nose at being called "Mister" anything. "Please don't let your first impression of him be too bad, okay?"
Haru chuckled and waves his hand back and forth nonchalantly to let her know that it really wasn't that big of a deal. "That's fine...and none of this Mr. Haruto stuff. Just Haruto, or you can call me Haru." he said, nodding his head toward Seamus to let him know that he could do the same.
With that said and done, Haru was just going to gather up Saizo and go back to his shopping when Kenzie started speaking cheerfully once more.
Apparently this pleased Saizo some for he immediately began wagging his tail quickly and even looked up at him on occasion to see if it was already. "Coming, Miss Lewis, but you'll have to help me with a new collar for Bear. Cricket..."
Haru watched the exchange between Seamus and his pets before the male looked back at him. He quirked a brow at Seamus's own grinning face. "You coming?"
Then, Seamus began walking off and Haruto shrugged his shoulders and smirked. "Eh, why not? Come on Saizo." he said, tugging lightly on his malamute's leash and following after Seamus and Kenzie.
When Haruto managed to catch up with Seamus, he noticed the slight limp in his gait and debated on whether or not he should even ask. However...his curiosity got the better of him. "If you don't mind me asking, Seamus," Haruto began, eying his leg first and then looking into Seamus's eyes. "But how did you get that limp in your stride? Were you born with it?"

He looked over as the younger man caught up with him and was about to offer him another conspiratorial grin of them having to put up with Miss Lewis, not tat it seemed either of them really minded. But then he noticed where Haru was looking and his expression faltered at the question. Seamus looked down at his scuffed up boot toes, surprised by how suddenly the subject had come up. He shook his head as they turned the corner after Kenzie and then brought his blue gaze back up to Haruto's.
"Naw, got into an accident some years back. Went out kayaking and got caught in a storm." Just in case the young man wanted to know what sort of accident it had been or if he really was as interested as he sounded. Seamus sort of hoped not. He didn't really like talking about that time, but he always felt rude about saying he wasn't going to answer the question, so he tried to keep his answers simple. "Stupid thing to do." For all that it had been a great day and Tara had begged him repeatedly to go out and he would have been breaking his promise if he had said no. Well, he should have just broken his promise, they could have gone out any other time.
Seamus shook his head again, expression bleak and far away for an instant and then they were back by Kenzie and he pushed those thoughts aside. He distracted himself by looking at the selection of leashes and wondering just what sort of leash the young woman was looking for, or if any plain old bit of rope would do, just so long as it kept that cat in check.

Kenzie gently rocked back and forth on the heels of her feet until she was certain her new friends were following her before placing her hands onto her feline companion and spinning around quickly. After adjusting her purse on her back, she cleared her throat and squatted into a "hunting" type of position.
"This is Hunter Kenzie everyone!" she stated cheerfully to no one in particular, "I'm currently accompanied by my ferocious feline friend Enakai, and my new friends Haru Kin and Seamus Kin!" Enakai meowed happily as Ken turned around and waved with both hands outstretched above her head toward the gentlemen.
It was not every day someone was willing to deal with Kenzie's bubbly antics, and she was extremely grateful to these two, but she really did need help deciding. Of course, if it was left up to her, she would soon convince herself not to purchase a leash for her kitty friend, as she loathed being binded herself, but if things were to continue the way they were continuing, the young woman might just croak tomorrow.
In any case, after watching the males' reactions, she turned back around, cocked her air gun, and returned to her squat position. Today, viewers, we are on a perilous hunt through the pet jungle deemed as Petsmart for the golden wall of leashes! and after battling with aviating avies, slithering serpents, and mean 'ole canids, we finally made it to our destination!"
Outstretching her arms, the young woman sighed in satisfaction. "Okaaaaaaaaay!” Kenzie chirped, holding the word out much, much longer its original intention, "I need something that’ll hold up to scratching and biting and kicking and tugging." she stated cheerfully before squealing and taking an azure-cloloured leash with colourful studs off of the wall, “Oo look! I can get him this one! It’ll be his bling! What do you guys think?"

Haruto only nodded quietly at the response Seamus had given him. No need to pry further, was his opinion. In either case, it was nice to meet someone new on such "interesting" circumstances. As they walked behind Kenzie, Haruto only cocked his head curiously at the young lady as she pretended to be one of those people who did the shows for National Geographic and had to resist the urge to chuckle on many an occasion when she looked back at them to see if they were just as into it as she was.
After her little "show" had concluded itself, Kenzie took the time to pull a collar and leash off the wall, showing it to Seamus and Haruto for any opinions or inquiries. To be honest, he'd never heard of actually putting a cat on a leash in the first place. Truth be told, it was a bit on the absurd side. But who was he to judge, right? He was a dog lover more so than cats. Haru could tolerate them, but preferred man's best friend any day.
Haruto placed a hand on his chin in thought. "Hmm, well it certainly does suit that mischievous feline of yours, Kenzie." he stated, looking to Seamus for some added support in his words. "But again, I've never known cats to be put on leashes. Then again, I've never met a cat quite like yours either, Kenzie."

Smiling lightly at the young woman's antics, Seamus followed her and could do no more than shake his head. Where she had found her energy he could not say, nor where she got her ideas from. Surely her head wasn't stuffed so full as that! And by that he was refering to her little soliloquoy on their adventure through Petsmart. The man laughed as Cricket cocked her head and tried to oin in the game, though the mutt had no idea just what the game might be. "Notice how she made no mention of crazy cats in her little list of dangers there? Huh, I'd be thinking that was the most dangerous of them all, wayward little kittens."
He was joking of course, joining in the fun a bit rustily, but still trying to make the most of it. And then what did she do next, but pull some grand studded leash off the wall with decorations and bright colour. Seamus eyed it dubiously, then voiced his honest opinion of it. "Might last a week before those little studs go missing, or worse, down that kitten's throat. I'd get something lighter with a bit less... bling." And there he pulled down another leash from the wall, thinner and decidedly less decorative, though its colour was neon blue almost, which seemed bright enough.
He'd never shopped for cat things before, but he had browsed a time or two, so he knew a bit about what he was talking about and he would have thought of the same precautions were he getting a new leash for Bear and Cricket, though the weight wouldn't have been such an issue. He shrugged, it was always her choice, or maybe she could try letting Enakai decide, that might be amusing. Kenzie could get whichever one he squirmed about for the least.
