Welcome to Revival!

We are finally open for others to join! Granted, we're low on members so if you manage to just take a peek in here, please let others know that we are now open and ready to start rping with you! Don't hesitate to ask for help in the C-box or PM an Administrator (ANY of us will do, I promise) with any concerns you may have.

--REVIVAL's Been Revived!--
I know that we've had a LONG hiatus, but it looks like things are picking back up again! I put up a new layout and hope to liven things back up again around here. So let's do our best everyone!

Penance, Revival's sister site, is almost completed and will be having its grand opening pretty soon! Be patient with us and excuse the lack of activity on my end every once in a while because of my preparing for the opening of the site. Also, next month we will be having our first activity check in a long time. No threads need be active, but so long as you, the account holder, checks in, that's fine.

From now on, our banners are on a randomizer so we will have various different images on the site that will pop up. Some old, some new. If you have a banner you wish to have added to the rotation, post it in the banner thread in the OOC section of the board. In addition to this, I WILL be putting up an announcement about the switch from Liquid Time to Semi-Liquid Time in the next week or so.

Have fun you guys and look forward to the new changes (as well as possible new members) on Revival!

Houses
The houses range from expensive to not so much, but then again, the not really expensive ones are usually smaller and need more renovation done on them than it's worth to get done. It's not a hassle to get a house, but unless you have a family of more than three or lots of room mates, it's not recommended for the sake of finances

*PM an Administrator with details on your house and DON'T post in anyone's house without their permission first!*

Shopping District
This is where all the shops are located from fashion boutiques like Dillards to Wal-Mart and all the other expensive or dirt cheap retail for clothes, shoes, and accessories. Entertainment stores (such as movies, games, music, and book shops) can be found here as well in addition to a food court. However, if you really want good books, go to Borders. The choices are better there.

Cinema & Theater
Want to hang out with friends or take your date to the latest movie that's just come out? Then the Cinema is the place to be! They charge $4 per child and $6 per adult. The theatre is where one can come to watch assorted plays and whatnot. Like Broadway, but not as elaborate or well-known and showings are only once a week versus everyday like in the cinema.

*Please state in your topic whether you are at the cinema or the theater*

Toronto Motorsports Park
Also known as "Kohler Drag Strip," Toronto Motorsports Park is a complex consisting of a 1/4 mile IHRA drag strip which has been operating for quite some time and a fairly new multi-configuration road course. The main circuit (3km) and club circuit (1.8km) use the drag strip, and it may be possible to operate the 1.2km training circuit at the same time as the drag strip.

Here are where all the races, both professional and Underground, are held (cars and motorcycles alike). So, you want to show how tough and mad your skills are? Come here and show everyone what you're made of...but don't be a wimp if the wager is your pinks, alright?

*Please state whether this is a professional and legal event or if it's an Underground event in the sub topic (ie, Underground Event or Professional Car/Motorcycle/Motocross Event)

Yorkville Park
Yorkville Park is a series of unique gardens located on the south side of Cumberland stretching west from Bellair and definitely reflects the beauty of the Canadian landscape.

At one end, a paved square of land is dotted with Scot's pines growing out of circular benches. Further west, is a set of metal archways among a row of crabapple trees. Next, there's a marshy wetland. A silver-coloured metal structure houses a waterfall bordering one side of a courtyard filled with benches and chairs, while a 650-tonne hunk of billion-year-old granite, cut out of the Canadian Shield and transported to the park in pieces, forms the other border.

The Clairvoyant Headquarters
The Mob Boss, Yaodin, is seen here frequently but only to those who know that it is him. The higher ups in the Mafia come here to make reports, deal with business transactions before heading to the black market, or to hold conferences on business and/or marketing. The main floors resemble that of a large corporation type atmosphere while the upper levels serve as a temporary housing area/hotel for guests to stay in. Below the headquarters is an underground facility where they have many holding cells and an interrogation room to deal with suspects or those who have betrayed the Mafia. Only the members under Suzaku and Byakko are allowed access to the lower levels, for this is their domain. All those under Genbu and Seiryuu are allowed to reign through the main floors in addition to the subordinates of Suzaku and Byakko. Both Yin and Yang have free reign throughout all of this building.

Though The Clairvoyant Headquarters seems open to all, you need special access to enter this domain be it from one of the two second commanding mafia members or either the first and second commanding officers in one of the four other levels. All trespassers will be escorted off the premises and any attempt to resist will result in violent action being taken.

*Post here at your own risk! XD

Kensington Market
Kensington Market is a distinctive multi-cultural neighbourhood in downtown Toronto, Ontario. Most of the neighborhood's eclectic shops, cafes, and other attractions are located along Augusta Ave. and neighboring Nassau St. and Kensington Ave. The market is best traveled on foot or bicycle, as the narrow one-way streets and numerous dead-ends are difficult to navigate by car.

The Palace Night Club
The Palace Night Club is not affiliated with the mob or gang activity, but sadly, does not have a strip club behind its walls either. It's a place where friends and strangers can come and dance and have drinks, both alcoholic and non alike and just socialize in general. Be forewarned: Although brawls do not start here as often as they do in Jezebel's, they do happen.

CN Tower
The CN Tower, located in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a communications and tourist tower and it's one of the largest towers in North America. It remains the signature icon of Toronto, attracting more than two million international visitors annually. The skyline features this tower and it's beautiful to behold at night and the overview of the city from CN tower is equally breath taking.

However, be sure to watch your step when on the observation deck!

Chinatown
One of the largest Chinatowns in North America is located in Toronto. The Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada, has at least seven Chinatowns — four are located within the city's boundaries, while the other three are located in adjacent suburbs. They have expanded significantly, paralleling Toronto's economic growth, and also because language laws in Quebec persuaded many Chinese to move from Montreal to Toronto.

Though the atmosphere is welcoming for the most part, Triad activity has been noted in these areas (as well as other various gangs) and flourishes. Be careful when traversing the streets of Chinatown alone.

Streets of Toronto
Downtown Toronto is a nice place to take a leisurely walk in the middle of the day time to enjoy the sites and just meet and greet friends along the way. Though the police are located in this area, please be careful when traveling the streets of downtown at night. All sorts of heinous crimes have been committed in these areas as well as the back alleys of the Red Light District.

Jezebel
Jezebel is THE highlight mob and gang hang out and the central area of the Red Light District that causes many a tourist to flock there. A combination night club and strip joint, drinks are poured by the gallon almost every night and the music is always there to set whatever mood you may be in. Also, illegal deals and other "business transactions" take place here. An ideal stake-out place, but be wary of how close and how often you come if that's your main reason for heading this way. Despite Jezebel's sophisticated appeal, brawls do occur her often.

*Only mob/gang affiliated business deals are allowed to be done here

Black Market
Not for the average shopper, this place consists of all commerce on which applicable taxes are being evaded. The market includes not only legally-prohibited commerce (for example, drugs, prostitution, and gambling activities that are illegal in some locales), but also trade in legal goods and services because some income is not reported and consequently taxation is evaded, e.g., through money laundering, payment in caeconomy, or black market consists of all commerce on which applicable taxes are being evaded.

The underground economy also includes transactions that governments may allow to be free of taxation, either by legal sanction or by simply choosing to refrain from enforcement of tax laws in certain markets. The term underground economy typically is not used to refer to trade in stolen goods, which is also given the name "black market".

*All illegal business deals, whether gang/mob affiliated or not are done here.

Brothel
A brothel, also known as a bordello or whorehouse, is an establishment specifically dedicated to prostitution, providing the prostitutes a place to meet and to have sex with the clients. In some places, licensed brothels are legal and in many countries, places such as massage parlors are allowed to function as brothels, with varying degrees of regulation and repression.

This brothel functions as both a whore house and a massage parlor.

The Pit
This place resides beneath an abandoned warehouse and very few people actually know about this place. Mainly the gangs/mob and whatever guests they choose to bring down with them are allowed to attend and frequent here. It is dank and the lighting isn't exactly the brightest in the world. There is a wrought iron gate in the middle extending from the ceiling to the floor where two or more people are pitted together to fight. Also, dog fights are held in this arena as well. The fights rarely end in fatality, but often people bet on a favorite contender.

Off to the side is a concession stand where one can order either food or drinks if they can stomach either during the matches.

Back Alleys
This is the more secluded and more dangerous area of the Red Light District. Most tend to keep to themselves around here, but one would be mindful to be very careful when traveling this area of the city alone and at night. If you have to traverse the back alleys, do so when someone is with you.
