[Twilight Sword]

Lionel was beginning to feel much better with Shade healing him. The pain now felt numb, still there but manageable. He could see clearly again and could clearly feel the burn from closing the gash is healing as well. After a while Lionel stopped leaning on Shade and could stand on his own.

He took a deep breath and then turned to look at Shade "Thanks Shade. I feel much better now." He paused for a second as he realized it was now dark out "So... what's our next move? Heading back to Elmshire?"

Shade finished healing Lionel's wound and then stated "we are to camp here for the night, Ingens is heading back to the village with the wounded Elves... he should be fine on his own."

Moving away from Lionel, he simply smiled and turned to Kile, before opening the bag on his back and handing the Golden Knight a pouch of water... if what Lionel said was true, then he knew Kile would more than likely at least accept it.

He then moved back over to the Hammock and laid down again, his wings folding over his body to form a crude blanket as he drifted off to sleep... it would be a long journey... and he had already planned his next stop...

After we return to Elmshire... it's off to Gradon... followed by Iyouelle. he thought to himself in his sleep.

"Thanks," Kile said. He was parched from the fight. He held it up above his head and poured it into his mouth, being careful not to put his lips to the rim out of politeness. He didn't drink too much, though. There was a good bit of water left in the pouch. He walked over to Shade's location and set the pouch down nearby.

He looked around, looking for signs of Galen.

"Where did Galen go?"

"The harpy?" Wes spoke. "He went to inform Lord Nylin of what had happened. Including Shade's attacker."

"Oh," Kile responded. "Then Nylin might need to be updated again now that we've fended him off..." He paused for a moment. "Alright, I'm heading back to Elmshire for now to report that we're ok. After that, I'll go find Ingens and help him bring the injured back to Elmshire. I'll probably stay there to rest afterword..."

Lionel looked at Shade getting ready to sleep and decided to follow suit. He slowly sat down on the ground and lay back. He took a few deep breaths and felt that he could lie on his back and ignore the minor pain he felt.

With hearing that everyone is back, with the exception of one, Badaq sighs with relief, but surprisingly slides back in his comfy position on the ground and easily falls back to sleep with nothing to say. His sleepiness finally takes full control.

Watching his mercenary friend fall into slumber, Klein almost wants to laugh, but just lets out a small chuckle before sliding down on the tree himself. Since he had nothing of relevance to say to everyone, he decides that he needs some shut eye as well. He still keeps his arms crossed, but leans his head and back on the tree as he shuts his eyes, slowly falling asleep. He was still currently aware of his surroundings and hearing.

[After First Time Skip...]

Day finally arrives as it seems as though it was finally time to head back to Elmshire. Klein stretches a bit as he waits for things to move on. He has his hands on the hilts of his swords, seeing if they are properly secure in their scabbards. But while waiting, he walks over to Badaq to see what the tall mercenary was up to.

"Ready to go, big guy?" Klein asks.

Badaq was making sure all of his essentials are all packed, despite them not being much. The potion Shade drank still had a bit left in it, but Badaq doubts that the amount left over would be useful, so he figures later on he'll wash it out as he places the top on and places it in his bag before hauling it on his shoulder and notice Klein speaking to him.

"Yep. You seem ready quickly."

"I didn't really have anything on me...In fact, I hardly keep extra things on me. All I need are my swords and I'll be good. I like traveling light-weighted." Klein crosses his arms as he looks the other way, still waiting.

For the time being, he wonders what Lucia is doing right now. After business is done in Elmshire, he'll have to go back to Ildega to get her. He figures that she'll be screaming his head off by the time he goes back for her for not letting her come along for the battle, despite their agreements on the matter.

"Ahh...I kinda don't want to go back right now." Klein places his arms down.

"Hmm? What's up?" Badaq asks with a curious stare.

"...One word: Lucia." Is all Klein says with a dull facial expression.

Badaq bursts out laughing after patting Klein's shoulder and saying. "Gah haha! She never changes do she?"

"...You don't know the worst of it." Klein holds his head.

"Ah, don't try to hide it man. The next few seconds, you two will kiss and make-up. That's how I was with my wife!"

"...S-shut up! It's NOTHING like that!!" Klein turns the other way again to hide his blush, while Badaq playfully elbows Klein's arm.

Shade simply watched Badaq tease Klein a bit as he looked at the sun rising through the trees.

Looking into the Bag he kept at his side, several vials were filled with crushed medicinal herbs as he mentally labeled each herb by it's appearance and what he remembered, even with what he heard from Badaq the night before.

turning to his companions, he said "Alright, guys... 's enough messing around, we need to get the others awake so we can get a move on... we have to get back to Ildega... and then we're off to Gradon." as he flexed his wings to make sure they weren't asleep.

Wes had been awake for a while now. He was already prepared to continue traveling. The angelic devil's words gave him pause.

"Gradaon?" Wes asked. He was suddenly curious about this continent. It seemed that Lionel was from there. He had heard interesting rumors about the mysterious land, and knew that there were bound to be spirits there he could probably for bonds with. Although he had to ask what specifically they had to do there. "Don't tell me there's a demon threat there, too?"

Wes's words did not sound as condescending as before. He was more or less mildly irritated at the thought of having to deal with them so soon. Then again, he could possibly get some clues on her whereabouts...

(OOC: Not gonna make any excuses. I didn't post and I'm sorry.)

Lionel was still half-asleep, not wanting to wake up because he knew it would involve a lot of pain.

He sighed as he heard he's the only one still sleeping and pushed himself up. The pain in his stomach subsided while he was asleep but moving again caused a searing sensation again.

After he managed to sit up he placed his hands on the floor and pushed himself up all the while trying to ignore the pain.

"Why does it hurt more the day after?"

Seeing as he had no idea of the situation Shade and Klein was in, Badaq decided to leave the answering of the question of Wes' to either one of them. Klein himself knew it was directed at their angelic devil companion obviously, so he also keeps quiet for the time being.

Though they both have also heard about Gradaon. Badaq himself has wanted to visit the land himself...and seeing as after the situation here is finally completed, he still had to tell Klein about what happened at Carridor, so he may have to tag along with them all eventually.

Shade looked at Wes and sighed, simply stating "there's a threat all over the world, and I have to fight it, because I'm required to... it's something that just has to happen." as he continued walking.

Thinking to himself, he couldn't help but wonder why he was chosen to handle this task, next to him was a Fire Brand, a well known race of demon hunters... but perhaps it could be that he was around at the time, and had his blade.

"We're off to Gradaon... and we should move quickly... demons don't like waiting." he spoke through a sigh as he looked onward to the direction of Elmshire village.

OOC: Unfortunately, after this post, I might have to enact the turn-skip rule because TS hasn't been active on X9.com, etc. I hope he can be contacted, but I don't want this forum to stay dead.

Just has to happen? Wes thought with a scowl. Hmph. And demons don't like waiting, huh... Whatever. As long as I stick with this group, I'm bound to find my answers.

Wes stood up and dusted himself off. He was ready to head back toward Elmshire.

With it all said and done, the two mercenaries kept their silence, not having much to say that has relevance to the situation. As short on time as it is, they both also start walking towards the direction of Elmshire.

Shade simply continued walking forward, wanting to get moving as fast as he could, there was no telling what could happen if people weren't there to stop any attacks from happening.

Wes quickly began to follow Shade. It was about time they started doing something else productive.

Klein and Badaq followed the two as well, making sure not to get lost on the way.
