Pink Floyd: The Wall - 6/10, Very over rated. Very weird.

Don't get me wrong: The Wall is a decent album with some great songs. However, most of the songs on there are a waste.

You see what I did there? The non-bold songs are the tracks that aren't even real songs. Just creepy sound effects or things so quiet you can barely hear them. I can't think of any reason you'd listen to any of those. Then there's the fact that not all of the "real" songs are even good. For example, I can't stand Mother, even though it's a regular song.

The one redeeming factor in The Wall is the overall tone delivered by the album. I also like the fact that you can hear parts of Another Brick In The Wall in a lot of the other songs.

So, that's my analysis of The Wall. I won't talk about each song, becasue that would take forever.

Well, Another Brick In The Wall is legendary, so that alone probably makes the album overrated.

Yeah, but it's really not that great. I do like the first half of Part 2, but I rarely have patience to listen to the guitar solo.

Indeed. I like the Trial though, and consider Goodbye Blue Sky to be real, but otherwise, this is good.

Yeah, I listened to Goodbye Blue Sky, and I see what you mean. I can't see why you would like The Trial, though.

The wall was a soundtrack to the movie, which was based on this singer going insane. If you watch the movie than this will make more sence.

Also pink floyds sound effects are what make pink floyd different than almost any rock band ever. The wierd songs and stuff like "the trial" and "mother" all have a story behind them, which is in the movie. The fact The wall actually had a story behind it made it a great album in my opinion but definitely not pink floyds best.

Actually, the album was made before the movie, and the movie was based on the album.

I'd like to mention that this review isn't a travesty since he has different opinions about it than you. It's very well written and he forms an excellent basis for his opinion.

A review is a travesty when the opinions presented in it are misinformed, things that are not facts are presented as facts, and the grammar is horrible.
