Jem and his group of buddies hadn't done anything too terrible this time. At lunch time, they had all brought sack lunches but hadn't bothered opening them. Instead, one of them had suggested they ordered a pizza. Sure, the school might be a little pissed off, but surely they would allow it. They never said anything about it in the handbook. Anything that wasn't listed was just about acceptable besides a few unmentionable things. Jem and his friends sat at their circular table just goofing around to pass the time until the pizza arrived. Jem, on the other hand, decided it'd be best if he were to watch the door. After all, he didn't want the guy to think it was just some joke and leave. He had to be the most polite of all of them, his hands on the able but his elbows off. Though his back was slouched, he figured that really wasn't that big of a deal. It was high school!
His wondering gaze shifting around the lunch room, he was a bit anxious. Not that it was really a big deal, but he couldn't wait to see the reactions of the some of the students, maybe even staff if he got lucky enough. Jem was just lucky enough he had brought enough money with him to pitch in. Some of his friends had even stolen from other students in order to pitch in for the final amount. He didn't really approve of it, but what was he to do? Nothing.
