The Bar

Erick unlocked the door to his quite little bar. He was wearing his long coat like he always did which had two purposses. One was to hide the two desert eagles and the other was that on him it looked damn sexy. He walked around making sure that everything was ready before he turned the neon green open light on. So far he was the only one working here. He didn't mind being both the owner and the bar tender since he got to meet new people but he could sometimes very easily get bored and he hated being bored. After checking each table making sure that everything was set he turned on that neon green light and sat down on a stool to wait for some customers. He was hopeing since The Midnight Sun was still new that it would attract more people. He had bought this place to be a safe house to all pychics out there for when they needed a safe place to hide or to just have a drink. He had his reasons for doing this and didn't feel the need to share. He heard the bell to the door ring and said with a bright face. "Wellcome to the Midnight Sun what can I get you?" He asked in a friendly tone as he looked over to see who was there

Alexis Bishop - July 20, 2009 02:10 PM (GMT)
“You know exactly what I’d like, Mr. Norman.” Very rarely did Alexis venture away from the protection of her own shadow, but the place she entered now she knew she was safe. Having known the owner of the bar helped, and even he himself did. Erick Norman was one of the few people on this planet that she knew who could get her to loosen up the stress she always carried.

“Any new intel on Division? I’ve been getting paranoid lately, I feel like I’m going to have to relocate soon.” Alexis couldn’t imagine leaving the Antique Shop she owned. Finally she got to do what she wanted, following the footsteps of her mother. Of course she couldn’t do everything, attending the occasional auction was out the question as her schedule couldn’t handle it (and neither would him, in honesty). Usually she relied on the connections her mother previously had to get the items she got.

Alexis flexed her fingers and cracked her knuckles as she anxiously awaited the surprise drink Erik had created for her. As proven right, she knew she could always rely on him… even if it was just to vent.

Erick Norman - July 20, 2009 03:44 PM (GMT)
Erick smiled as he saw her. He had known Alexis for a good long while. The two of them had gone on a few missions together and they both had two things in common. The both hated Division and they were both in hiding. "Well for starts that outfit is horrible you should take it off right now" He said jokingly. He flirted with everyone be them stranger or friend which this person was. He walked back to the drink rack and pulled out a bottle with the label taken off and a glass. with ice in it. "one suprise coming right up" He said as he poured the yellow liquid into the glass. It was just Mountain Dew that he had taken the label off of. He used it as a chaser sometimes or for the kid phyics that payed a visit.

"Well for starters they have some mission going on down here but its nothing to do with you." He said as he leaned against the bar in his way. He was looking directly at eyes. His light blue meet her icy blue. It was the way her flirted or talked period. Best way to a woman or mans bed was to look them right in the eyes and tell them dirty things. However this meeting probly wouldn't lead to that. "I Don't think it would be safe to stay at your home though. You can stay in the loft upstairs" He said. The Loft was a room above the bar that was hidden so well that not even the shapest eyes could find it. He had set it up to be a hideing spot for Pyc's when they were in need of a place to hide.

Alexis Bishop - July 20, 2009 04:10 PM (GMT)
She caught his eye and a small smirk played across her lips. Alexis knew the game he played, and he played it well. Given the mood, she could play it too.

“If your talking about these you know I can’t take ‘em off. Things get a little crazy up there sometimes, ya know?” Alexis pointed to her head as she said 'there', and took the drink from him. The smirk formed a grin as she took a sip of the drink and realized it was soda. Her favorite one, in fact.

“I think I will stay up in the loft a few nights if you don’t mind. Get away from the real world a bit. I’ll call my shadow and see if he can take over the shop for a days.” The likelihood of that happening was slim, but she was going to make it work out the best she could. Alexis knew this freedom was necessary.

“How’s business going for you here?”

Eloise Beaumont - July 20, 2009 04:49 PM (GMT)
Eloise took a deep breath as she started time again. She had ran about ten blocks after she found out she was being followed. She didn't know for how long, but once she noticed him she stopped time. It was more out of impulse than logic but it had proved useful once again. Before she had left, she made sure to get a good look at the man, who was wearing a black suit and an ear piece. Eloise was astonished at how much he looked like one of those evil government agents from movies she had watched. Her mind had instantly thought of Division and she panicked.

Even though she had gotten away, she still couldn't shake the feeling. Eloise walked briskly through the streets of The Bronx, looking for a restaurant or a deli. She wanted to go somewhere to calm down. Jittery nerves was something Eloise had developed ever since she watched Avril get taken away. She couldn't trust anybody anymore and it scared her.

Eventually she saw a bar on the other side of the street. Midnight Sun... the name sounded familiar. She had probably seen some flyers advertising it around town. Eloise walked in without thinking twice. She heard the bell ring as the door shut behind her. Her blue-green eyes looked around the practically empty room. There was only a bartender and a girl. "Hi, uh, can I just have a coke or something please?" She just needed a drink to cool down and think.

Erick Norman - July 20, 2009 06:15 PM (GMT)
Erick smiled at Alexis then nooded. "If you need some cloths I'm sure I have something you can wear" He said with a smirk. Of course he had a full stock of clothings because sometimes the Pycs that had to hide here didn't have time to grab a set of cloths however when you meet a man who enjoys nothing more then a woman or mans skin you get skimpy underwear. He noticed the girl out of the corner of his eye and smiled. His hand had twiched slightly an old habit he had from his Days as a solider. It was him fighting off the urge to pull out one of the two guns he had. He looked at the young girl and noticed that she was deffinatly not over the legal age. And the only minors he allowed were those of the unsual kind. "Sure thing sweet hear" He said as he walked over and pulled out a Coke He slid it over to the girl. "So whos chasing you?" He said guessing off the top of his head as he sat down.

Eloise Beaumont - July 20, 2009 07:47 PM (GMT)
Eloise caught the can of Coke as it slid down the table. She cracked open the seal and took a sip. Her parents didn't let her drink pop at home so she savoured it. At home the closest thing she got to Coke was Nestea, which tasted horrible in her opinion. Eloise put her drink down and sighed. Her gaze travelled from the bartender to the other costumer. They were talking about clothes or something, but she didn't really bother paying attention. The fourteen year old girl took another sip of her drink before turning back to Erick. "I have no idea. He looked like he was from the government." Eloise had a feeling that this man knew something about Division, but she didn't bother mentioning them. She didn't want to give anything away about herself just yet.

Nicolas Loiselle - July 20, 2009 08:19 PM (GMT)
It had been rough morning for Nicolas and he was looking for a place to relax. He wanted something else to think after all those auditions he had gone trough that morning. He had audition for three different plays and one telesivision sitcom, hoping that he would get in atleast one of them. It wasnt easy to be an actor in New York, everywhere you needed to have experience or you couldn't have an accent. He was an native of France but still he was able to speak and understand English well, but still he had an accent that gave his background out. Some consider an foreing accent cool or even sexy but for some it just wasnt good enough. He arrived in front of an bar in Bronx, for his luck it was open. Nicolas was tired of just walking around looking for the right place so he decided to step inside and see what this bar was about.

The bar looked cozy and relaxing. He looked around and saw only three people, one of them being the bartender. He hoped to make an silent entry to the bar but when he closed the door he heard the sound of an bell behind him. He sighed but still made his way to the barcounter, leaning towards it. "A glass of white wine, please" he said to the bartender trying to hide his accent.

Erick Norman - July 20, 2009 08:33 PM (GMT)
Erick sighed as the girl told him about some goverment people following her. Probly didn't want to come right out and say Division Agent. "Listen kido your safe here They arn't comeing near.....Hello what have we hear" He said as he noticed the new person enter the bar. tall handsome, muscular, and by the sound of his voice french. "Pinch me babe I think I just fell in love" He said as he pulled out the bottle of wine. He set it down and pulled out a glass. "On the house" he said as he poured the man his drink.

Nicolas Loiselle - July 20, 2009 09:11 PM (GMT)
Nicolas looked at the man lifting his eyebrows. He hoped tha he was just kidding even though he had to admit that he didn't look so bad either but Nicolas was not into men or atleast that is what he told himself. He didn't say anything and just took the glass. He smiled when he heard that it was on the house, he could use that kind of hospitality more often in this city. He took a good sip of his wine, it tasted fantastic.

Eva Von Hart - July 20, 2009 09:14 PM (GMT)
The doors opened as Eva walked into the room, she had been trying to find the bar, but considering she had to make sure she wasn't followed she was a little paranoid. She she looked around she saw some people chatting and some actually having a good time.

"Bonjour Erick ... son agréable de vous revoir."

Eva said to him as she approached the bar and sat down and looked around.

" So this is a the place eh? Not bad..."

Erick had to know that she was french, he must have read the file a million times.

Erick Norman - July 20, 2009 09:40 PM (GMT)
Erick smiled as he gestured for Eva to come take a seat at the bar. "Thank you kindly...I think" He said unsure what she had said in french He looked her right into her eyes. He already had her image locked into his memorie. her tattoos...Her guns...Oh god just thinking about them. He quickly shook his head to get the image out of his mind. "What can I get cha Babe" He said.

Eva Von Hart - July 20, 2009 09:42 PM (GMT)
" Anything that is hard and sweet..."

Eva smirked as she plopped herself on one of the bar stools, she then looked around, it was a nice place and had nice company, she leaned forward a bit toward him and whispered in his ear.

" So...care to tell me what different type of psyc's are in here Erick?"

Evan then leaned back and smirked as she began to trace one of her tattoos on her hand.

Erick Norman - July 20, 2009 09:52 PM (GMT)
Erick smiled he couldn't hold in the line that he was fighting against. "I got something Hard and sweet I think you will enjoy quite nicely" He said as he mixed her one of his special drinks. He didn't tell anyone what it was made from since it was his own personaly secret. "Well lets see" He said with a wisper. "Can't tell ya bar rule even though I got a file on everyone in this room I don't tell" He said loud enough so everyone could hear. He didn't really care. This was a safe place for psyc's to hang out and hide out if need be. "If you want to know you got to ask them" He said.

Eva Von Hart - July 20, 2009 09:57 PM (GMT)
Eva couldn't help but laugh at his little perverted joke, she then looked at the shot glass and smirked as she raised it and said.

" This is to...Division...to those sorry bastards that will die and burn in hell for their crimes..."

Eva cheered and then took the shot quick. She gulped it down with ease but then starts to cough and her eyes watered, she then slammed the glass down and looked at Erick.

" Geez...trying to set my throat on fire eh?"

Nicolas Loiselle - July 20, 2009 10:15 PM (GMT)
Nicolas noticed the woman who spoke french but in these times everyone could speak french even if they wouldn't be french themselfs. He siped his wine and didn't pay much attention to the people arround him, he had come to relax here but the fact that this bartender might knew who he was wasn't really what he had hoped. He took his glass of wine and moved to the corner table and sat down.

Lillian Lom - July 20, 2009 11:59 PM (GMT)
Lillian was wearing a pair of nice pair of deep blue jeans, a purple tank top, and a black vest with a pair of black flats. She looked nice, not to dressed up, not to under done. She was carrying a newspaper with a red circle drawn round one particular add. Her well kept nailed hand wrapped round the door handle of the place she’d been looking for and she slipped her big black sun glasses off her face and up onto her head. She moved over to the bar and waited for a moment for the man behind the counter to catch her eyes so that he might come over, she didn’t want to interrupt what he was doing and be rude.

Erick Norman - July 21, 2009 12:06 AM (GMT)
Erick finished with the previous costumer and notice the new girl with the news paper. He walked over and smiled. "What can I get you tonight?" He asked with a kind and sweet smiled. The smile that had gotten him so many women and men into his bed. He Looked her over and smirked. "Want to try the special?" He asked. It was the drink that He had mixed for Eva. He called it Shot o'lovin cause ususaly who drunk at least three if they were able to surivive ended up into someones bed.

Lillian Lom - July 21, 2009 12:16 AM (GMT)
Lillian smiled kindly at the man as he stepped over to her with a rather charming smile. No Thanks, I’m actually responding to the add that was placed in the newspaper about a job opening. She announced with an excited tone as she spread the newspaper out before her, the bright red circle standing out ageist the dingy color of the paper.

Erick Norman - July 21, 2009 12:21 AM (GMT)
Erick smirked as he looked at the add. "Oh yea almost forgot about that" He said as he checked it for a second. as he looked up at her. "Names Lillian right" He said as he looked down at the news paper. Of course he had her file under the desk. He pretty much knew every pysc's name and face by heart. He sometimes even forgot that he hadn't meet them before and that turned into him calling them by name when he hadn't met them before. "So what kind of job you looking for. We have a waitress posstion open and a co-bartender" He said as if nothing had happened.

Eloise Beaumont - July 21, 2009 01:16 AM (GMT)
Eloise continued to drink, looking over the brim of the can as the bar seemed to fill with people. Among them was a French woman, or at least a woman who spoke French. This caused her to raise a blonde eyebrow as she put down her finished drink. "Ah, si vous parlez français?" She had learnt that quite a few Americans could speak French, but there were hardly any who were fluent.

Eloise took out her wallet and pulled out a five dollar bill. She was going to ask for another drink but she looked up to notice that the bartender wasn't there anymore. She looked over her shoulder and saw Erick talking to another woman about a job. That reminded her that she should probably go looking for a job at some point, but Eloise didn't know where. Maybe speaking French could help her out, answering phones or something. Her blue-green eyes turned away from the two and back to Eva.

Eva Von Hart - July 21, 2009 02:16 AM (GMT)
"Oui je parle français, même si je ne regarde pas, mon père est le latin et ma mère est française"

Eva replied and then smirked at the young women and then looked at the girl, whose name sounded like Lillian, went towards Erick about a job opening. Eva for some reason felt a ping of envy for some reason. Eva had no idea where this feeling came from only that she had to ignore it as she waited for the other women to respond.

Lillian Lom - July 21, 2009 05:59 AM (GMT)
She blinked completely confused at how he knew her name. She glanced for a moment as two girls were having a conversation in French, before his voice snapped her attention back to him. Oh, Waitress I have experience in, but I’d love to learn how to be a bar tender. I’m twenty one so I can serve it’s just the needing to be taught thing.. she swallowed a little a frown coming over her face as she tilted her head slightly. I hope you don’t find this rude, but how is it exactly you know my name? I don’t believe I’ve ever met you before.

Erick Norman - July 21, 2009 06:18 AM (GMT)
Erick smiled as she asked him this question His eyes seemed to glimer for a second as he looked at her. "would you really like to know" he said as pulled out a application for her. "Alright can you start tonight?" Erick said. He kinda needed some help tonight as every body seemed to be flocking to the bar. He pulled out anoughter Coke and slid it to the kid at the bar. "Don't worry on the house you had a trying day" he said as he watched the man go sit in the back corner. He probly had freaked him out when he had announced that he had everyones file in this room. He even had this young womans which was actually the last one he had locked up. "I can start teaching you to pour drinks with this crowed if you like." He said as he lifted open the bar so she could fit in. He did however make it so she would have to brush against him to get through. Then again the thing wasn't that wide and his actions would be considered innocent...well for the most part at least.

Lillian Lom - July 21, 2009 06:29 AM (GMT)
She was confused by all of it, would she really like to know? Yes that was why she had asked in the first place. What exactly had she gotten herself into, and how exactly did this guy know who she was.. a better question was; how much did he know? She swallowed a little harder then before, uneasy with the whole situation but nodding that she’d like to start. I have to put my two weeks in with my other job right now, I had no idea I’d get one so.. quickly. She replied as he lifted the bar for her to move threw. Stepped forward, holding her hand out for the application paper he held in his hand, but I’ll be happy to fill that out for you. She added a slight.. nervous smile on her face.

Erick Norman - July 21, 2009 06:38 AM (GMT)
He smiled. "I wouldn't go back there if I were you" he said as he glanced at a file. under the bar which he had yet to file. "It would appear that you had a few...Guests about an hour ago trying to find you at your work." He said as he kept open the bar door for her. He had read in her file. yes he read them, that she had been targeted and the operation was to grab her today. She was just lucky that she was hear. "Oh and by the way those are some beautiful legs" he said not taking his eyes off of her. He had already seen a full body picture of her and had her image locked in. And man did she have some legs.

Lillian Lom - July 21, 2009 06:51 AM (GMT)
She narrowed her gaze as she listened to the man. This all was beyond creepy. Who was looking for her? Who was it that she needed to be warned in such a way about? A look of sheer shock stole the place of the glare though as he mentioned her legs. Wh.. What did you say? She stuttered a little completely unsure of everything now. Just who the hell are you, who is after me, and how do you know what my legs look like? Her tone was a nervous hiss as she stepped away from him and the bar.

Erick Norman - July 21, 2009 07:18 AM (GMT)
Erick realized that he had given away a bit to much information then just smiled. "think of me as an Infromant" He said as he looked at her. "And sorry about the little scare there I just felt you might want to know before you ended up getting into some trouble" He said with a smirk as he looked at her waiting patiantly. "My Names Erick Norman by the way" He said with a smile. He was known around here as a man who helped Psc's However his real name was unknown to all but one in this place. And that was the woman at the far ended drinking mountain dew.

Nicolas Loiselle - July 21, 2009 08:38 AM (GMT)
Nicolas continued to remain silent but listened carefully what was going on the bar counter. It seemed that while he had been concentrating on his wine another girl had arrived, this time to get a job. He siped his wine when the youngest of the girls also spoke french. He shook his head a little and chuckled. When did Bronx become the meeting place of French speaking people?, he thought himself and siped his wine. He stood up without finishing the wine but he had a need to go to the bathroom. "Excusez-moi, mais où sont les toilettes? " he asked even though he knew where the bathroom were.

Eloise Beaumont - July 21, 2009 03:31 PM (GMT)
"Thank you."

Eloise gave a small smile and put her money away. She cracked open the seal on her drink and took a few sips. She hadn't been expecting to get it on the house, then again she wasn't complaining. Her attention went back to Eva. "Mes deux parents sont français. J'ai déménagé ici de Paris l'année dernière." She went to take another sip of her drink but remembered something. "My name is Eloise, by the way. What's your's?" Eloise had forgotten to introduce herself and was now embarrassed by her lack of manners.

The young girl raised an eyebrow as she heard yet another person speaking French. She turned around in her chair to see that it was the man who had been sitting in the corner drinking wine. Eloise eyed the bar to find the bathrooms for him. "Là-bas, monsieur." Eloise smiled inwardly, it felt good to hear her native tongue again. At school she had to speak English and even at home her parents were trying to get her to. For a second she felt like she was back in Paris.

Nicolas Loiselle - July 21, 2009 04:26 PM (GMT)
Nicolas nodded to the girl who was kind enough to point the bathroom for him. He walked to the two doors, one for the ladies and the other one for men, of course he entered the one for men. He didn't really have any bussiness there but he just wanted to be alone. Nicolas walked to the sink and turned the tap, to let the cold water flow to the sink. He took water in his hands and threw it on his face, before looking into the mirror. Nicolas reached out for some paper to dry his face.

Eva Von Hart - July 22, 2009 01:00 AM (GMT)
"Je suis à moitié français, la mère de mon côté, mon père a été Latino."

Eva answered back and then took another shot of her speacil drink and watched Erick flirt with the new chick, she chuckled at this and turned her attention towards the young girl.

" Nice to meet you hun, my name is Eva Von Hart..."

Lillian Lom - August 5, 2009 06:20 PM (GMT)
It all made her uneasy, but the fact that they’d had the conversation in front of people that seemed to brush it off as a every day occurrence tore her response. Should she relax and find it a comforting fact, or should it be something that unnerved her further? A slow exhale of air escaped her lungs as she glanced back up at the man with a determined face. Who is after me. No it wasn’t a question, it was a demand. If he knew who it was and why, he best be telling her.
