I'm sure we've all seen the targeted advertising on sites like Facebook, or the random banner ads that some sites (like our very own PseudoRadio forums) feature...Have you noticed that sometimes the ads get really bizarre? Or maybe the ad isn't bad but seems really strange in the context of the site you're visiting?

What are the strangest ads you've noticed gracing your favorite sites?

Example: Just tonight, Facebook tried to sell me on a new TV show by describing it as "Lost meets Mormons." Strange.

And as I type this, there is an ad on this very page that wants me to know that sex after age 50 is not at all dangerous and is, in fact, encouraged. PseudoRadio: Entertaining AND informative!

I think the Hawkeye Game Club for awhile had one about chubby boys wanting to meet other chubby boys (someone correct me if I am wrong).

Also, on a wrestling site I was with for awhile would get spammed by some place that sold wrestling shoes and energy drinks . . . and that is all.

See, maybe it was another site then, but I was thinking it was the HGC site. It was just an ad that had a youg, chubby gay guy in it and stated he was looking for other similar body shaped boys. It was actually a pretty tasteful ad, so the majority of people probably overlooked it anyways.

It was. I first saw it in the Pull List thread over there and made some comment about how the ad software was at least working for their show. laugh.gif
