Episode #102: Dishonored / Resident Evil 6 / XCOM: Enemy Unknown / Hell Yeah! / Happy Wars / Dance Central 3

The show kicks off with a look at the Indie release Johnny Carnage.  Craig offers his thoughts on Double Dragon Neon, Jeremy checks out the latest episode of The Walking Dead, Craig runs through Hell Yeah!, tries to have fun with Naughty Bear: Panic In Paradise, and gives the details on the free to play Happy Wars.  Sean kicks and punches it out with the Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth demo, Craig gets his dance crew on with Dance Central 3 demo, and Jeremy and Craig give a brief overview on the great XCOM: Enemy Unknown.  Jeremy has some more quick thoughts on Borderlands 2, Sean finally finishes Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Jeremy can't get into Resident Evil 6, but does have a blast with the wide open stealth adventure Dishonored.

It was a good episode as usual. I like listening when you guys are doing games that have gotten bad/mixed reviews because if there is something good there you find it which I try to do.

I am curious how far Craig got in Johnny Carnage. I've only gotten to level five and that was after I realized money and guns carried over. This game has great production value but it does not do very well explaining itself it just throws you in very old school in that way.

Oh, I haven't gotten very deep into it. It's like Spelunky for me, the game is way better than I am. There is a screen that you can look at to see how to play the game. I always check that stuff out first. smile.gif

Out of curiosity, which bad/mixed review games did we talk about on the show? (I can't remember anything we said.)

Well resident evil 6 and Naughty Bear for one. But also an old one not a lot of people likes Double Dragon Neon but obviously you saw something in it they didn't.

It's rare that I think a game is so flawed that there's no audience for it whatsoever (see my discussion of Sententia in the Summer Uprising III show...). Even if something is not to my tastes, I want others to be able to make their own decisions about it.

XCOM is great. I'm playing on PC with the xbox controller. It's really built well for the console. Tactically the decisions only get harder, usually missions are a 3 city choice. Pretty fun game, granted I a big fan of the original and TFTD from way back in the day so I'm a little bias.

I enjoyed this podcast.

I found the analysis of the games particularly insightful - congratulations!
