Kids and I went to go see Toy Story 3 this weekend while visiting family. When we got back home last night, I saw one of those Inside Xbox achievement videos on the dashboard, so I figured they might get a kick out of seeing that.
How come it wasn't mentioned in the show that they incorporated the Zurg battle from the Buzz Lightyear game Rex plays in Toy Story 2!?!? I'm buying it for sure now!

In listening back to the show I actually feel like I didn't do the game the justice it deserved. I'll probably touch back on it on the next episode.
But...that's just one example of how the game really varies up the gameplay levels. They do a lot of different stuff. It'd be a great game for you and the kids I would imagine.

I'm pretty sure if there was ever any films that didn't need recommendation, it would be the Toy Story movies. They should be required for everyone. B)

Prof made Alpha Protocol sound like a lot of fun, might have to pick it up when the price drops. Nice review by the way ;)

Update on Alpha Protocol:
A common trend with lightly flawed games is that the wheels do begin to come off when playing on Hard difficulty settings. It was the case for Dark Void, and is also true for Alpha Protocol. Therefore, I highly recommend not playing your first playthrough on Hard. It's not impossible, but knowing what's coming and having a good idea of what the different skills will get you is very useful. Also, I would advise that your Hard playthrough be one where you play up to everyone's likes.
Easy is a lot of fun though. I recreated my jerk-y mountain man character who shoots everybody. That playthrough was much more like 6-8 hours (I also skipped some missions). Yes, the AI gets a lot more dumb that way, but I'm going guess that most folks will be like me and prefer being totally badass over "realism." ;)
Oh, on the show I also forgot to talk about two other starting options for your character. There's the "Recruit," which is different because instead of getting 10 AP for skills you start with 0 AP as you are fresh out of Langley! It also adds occasional "Recruit" dialog options and tends to make knowledgeable baddies underestimate you. The real reason to play "Recruit" however, is because it unlocks "Veteran" which starts you off with three skill levels in ALL ABILITIES! Plus you can remove ranks on some abilities and spend those points elsewhere. My favorite is to max out Stealth (for the first tier) and instantly know where everyone is and where they're looking starting at the very first mission! It also adds "Veteran" dialog options. I highly recommend "Veteran" for anyone looking to do a playthrough on Hard.
I've got one more playthrough started (my sixth!) to try and sweep up the last four achievements, and other than a few really crappy scenarios (stupid AI), a few freezes on loading pages (before the quick save), and some inconsistencies in game play, I've really enjoyed playing it.
