The final regular season games were played today and we have 6 teams left standing with a shot at the HGC Season 7 Blood Bowl Championship! The commish triad met today and approved the following playoff picture...

#1 Crackas and #2 Hollywood Squares get first round byes. Any players missing their next match will heal. There will not be any extra MVPs for the week 'off'.

More than likely you will be a 1 seed. There are so many new teams the next season that more thn likely any returning teams with be seeded pretty high.

Not to mention you are undead, one of the top teams. Even as a new team Undead might end up a 1 seed, like Jason's Chaos Dwarves did this season.

I'm not so sure about that. I was able to get your team when it was a fledgling. I can't believe how well it's developed this season.

Or perhaps it's just a flashback to a different developed chaos dwarf team that completely decimated my Ogres.

Dang, I sort of wanted them! That's okay - I think I'll have a Death Match with Wes for Norse unless I can talk him into one of his other choices. Though the Dark Elves still intrigue me...

Why are you intrigued by all the teams I want. Norse, underworld and dark elves were my choices. I may just go with Wood Elves to shake things up then.

No problem! For those who have not checked the site, Logan and his FN Teamwork crew survived an OT shoot-out with Malloy's Elves to win 4-3 and advance into the waiting Tentacles of the Hollywood Squares in the semis!

Just in case you guys didnt know this -

the higher seed in all playoff games (EXCEPT the Blood Bowl) gets a +1 to the kick/recieve roll to begin the game.

This +1 does not extend to anything else - no kickoff results, not $$$, etc.

Also, since these votes were due BEFORE the playoffs, coaches need to concentrate on regular season accomplishments for Coach of the Year.

After a very close match today, the Hollywood Squares outlasted That's FN Teamwork 2-1 in regulation to move into HGC Blood Bowl VII!

- Pact Goblin, Wonderboy Remix, tried to foul on Turn 1 but forgot to bribe the ref and was ejected for showing his nips. :)

- On Turn 4, Dio, our league's leading casualty machine, SIed Chuck Woolery, one of the Squares 5-ST Warriors and it looked bad for the Nurgle.

- Teamwork took advantage of an overly eager Hollywood D to score soon after.

- Things took a decidedly Nurgle turn as the Squares were able to equalize before halftime.

- The Nurgle grind took over as they held the ball the entire second half. KOs began to mount for the Pact and, after using their apothecary to save a Marauder, they could only watch helplessly from the sideline as Master Exploder, their Dark Ef, fell down dodging and was killed.

Excellent game and now the Nurgle await the winner of the Crackas/Sligo County Necro/CD match-up in the other semi!

Any word on when this game will be played?

I get done with my finals on Thursday at 2. I can play after that.

I'll check my schedule, but I can probably do Thursday at 6.
