-- Enter Marcus --
The entire ordeal of walking away had been the right ploy to get Dimitri away from the Specialist. Eien was just as good as one of the other Council Members, Vaughn, whom had been assigned to replace the runaway Hannibal Frost. Marcus Mayhew didn't approve of traitors and he would be damned before another went unnoticed under ECHELON's watch...and his. The Councilman nodded to the two AEON Elite whom were geared up; black Kevlar and rifles in hand. He started towards Eien, parting through the crowd as he did so, avoiding touching anyone and everything that was present in the main way. He smirked when he came within a few feet of the Specialist, his arms crossed over his chest as those empty blue eyes stared at the back of Eien's head.

"Specialist Eien Llewellyn...fancy meeting you again." Oh that was cold. Even his tone showed no emotion. He was there to bring the Specialist before the Lead DNA Sequencer, whom was just as good with a polygraph as the human genetics itself. Agent Mayhew would wait for Eien to turn around, though of course if he didn't it made no difference: he just wanted to see Eien squirm when the AEON Elite would grab him. And indeed they would, for a nod of the head was enough order to tell the soldiers to move forward, each one reaching for Eien's arms respectively as their rifles were still held tightly.

"We have a few questions that we want to ask you. You're coming with us." Marcus felt that evil smirk grow over his lips and the corners of his mouth as he watched the two soldiers do their job, each one holding on tightly just to prevent the Specialist from running if that was his intention.

But no one could be that stupid, right?

"Specialist Eien Llewellyn...fancy meeting you again.."

Eien jumped at the empty voice that spoke behind him. He turned around, his eyes wide with surprise, and his heart skipped a few beats. He thought he wouldn’t be seeing the Councilman any time soon – at least, he had hoped beyond reason that he wouldn’t. Dimitri was gone now, too, and that struck a deep chord of fear within the Specialist. Normally he didn’t like to rely on others in such a way, but his partner had moments ago proven that he was a security blanket even against the Council.

His shoulders hunched together and his body tensed as two fierce grips latched on to the upper portion of his arms. He gasped openly at the hold the two AEON soldiers had on him, a soft cry falling past his lips from the sudden sense of pain that shot through him. Inside he wanted to run, to do the very thing they were ‘preventing’ him from doing. He knew he couldn’t to save his life, but that was what he wanted to do. He wanted to turn around and run back to Dimitri and never leave the man’s side.

    ”...You're coming with us."

”Questions? What?” he managed to say, his mind whirling in a panic and his heart racing. They knew, they had to know. There was no other reason Eien would have to be asked of this. Other than the task of safeguarding the Zodiuns’ location, there was nothing else that needed the special attention of the Council. His head turned from side to side, looking at the agents who were basically pulling him to their destination. Eien attempted to keep up, and at first stumbled over himself. He tried to regain his composure, but the sudden rush of harsh physical contact and the intimidation didn’t really help that.

”Y-you think – you think you could let up j-j-just a bit?” he stammered, his nature now more raw than most of the time. His tense muscles continued to walk somewhat in stride with the agents, his eyes twitching in every direction as if looking for a solution that wasn’t there.

He was looking hopelessly for Dimitri, despite knowing that he wasn’t anywhere near.

Seeing the Specialist resist as he did made the Councilman have no doubts about what he knew over Eien. But he had to get it on file for the others on the Council to hear. If he didn't it wasn't viable and he wasn't able to condemn someone to death. If he just wanted to kill someone he would have gone out and done so, not stopped by anyone or anything. There were plenty of Zodiuns in the holding cells to pick off and yet he wasn't going to. As Eien resisted a little, seeming to barely keep up Marcus smirked, hearing the protests on grip that the Specialist had towards the soldiers. The AEON Elite did what they were told, when they were told with no thought as to insubordination. He wanted to know what made them tick but he had a good idea. The General himself gave them a good idea.

Marcus pressed the button for the elevator when it was reached, his eyes going up to the numbers as they dropped to the first floor where they were. He waited for the doors to open and motioned for the soldiers to take their captive through into the little cubicle. When Marcus turned around just inside he noticed that some were staring, a few even catching glance at his name badge and widening their eyes. Usually they never saw a Council Member. What an honor indeed, eh?

He pressed the button for the basement where the holding cells and laboratories were. He wanted to show Eien the Zodiuns that were caught in there, cuffed and chained to the walls of their dank cells of stone and grime. He wanted to instill a sense of wrath into the young man just to prove himself right before the interrogation even began. But he found that he had to wait. The soldiers tightened once more their fingers on Eien's arms, Marcus paying attention to the doors instead of to the woman and man that were holding his prisoner. As the doors parted to reveal the stone hallway and glass observation walls with the Zodiuns behind them he began to walk, the heels of his boots clicking on the stone underfoot.

Despite his plea the agents did not ease up. Eien’s lips pursed, the expression of discomfort and fear was on his face longer before they had started to walk. His bag lumped against his thigh lazily as they moved to the elevator, the citizens inside taking in the sight that was before them. They only knew the badges of the four of them; one Councilman, two AEON Elite, and one Specialist. Eien swallowed the lump in his throat. The anticipation was killing him, but he couldn’t let that show – not too much, at least. He couldn’t act guilty, as his nature would only get him so far. But he wasn’t even sure if he could use it now. Four years with the same partner and most observers would see a little bit more ease in the young man. Then again, he did well to keep to himself otherwise, often staying inside his apartment if he was not working.

When the elevator opened and the four of them made their way down the hallway Eien wanted to weep because of the sight before him. His eyebrows knitted together, predominantly out of confusion, or at least that was how he hoped it appeared to be. He tripped over his feet again, the grips at his arms digging into his flesh again, this time harder as the two agents held on to him. He used the moment to compose himself in some sort of way, not letting the sorrow for the people behind the glass show through.

They made it to the end and after permission was granted, the doors to the room that Eien assumed was their destination. He saw Mayhew stand to the side and the agents holding on to the Specialist moved forward. Eien winced at the grip, but was then released – rather, pushed – into the room. Eien hit the floor, his balance having been distracted by his new surroundings. His hands went forward as a brace against the floor, the bottom of his palms red from rubbing against the stone. He grunted loudly, keeping his body on the ground for that moment, his entire body collapsing against the cool surface. He inhaled sharply before curling his digits, using his fists to lift his upper body.

Eien’s blonde hair fell in his face, but his blue eyes lifted to look around at the room. The only furniture there was a table and two chairs – and the metal chairs did not look comfortable. A machine was set on top of the table, straps and chords assembled to one side, the side Eien assumed would be his. Another man was in the room, but Eien averted his gaze away from him. He heard the door slam.

He was screwed if he didn’t recover well.

S E T T I N G
WASHINGTON CITY
2588 A.D.

Everything as we once knew it has changed. Desert wastelands cover the earth; the oceans and streams are radiated; the air is polluted. In all of the chaos one power stands strong: ECHELON. Once a secret American organization, ECHELON is now the provider of the new race of humans called Ariuns. Order is strict; death lies around every corner. Secrets are never safe for long.

In the deserts another race thrives. Their evolution has allowed them to adapt to the harsh conditions of the desolate planet. It has also allowed them to build their own society, be it disorganized, outside of ECHELON's control. Their battle has already started as a struggle to regain what is rightfully theirs: the planet.

Which side will you choose to fight with?

It is currently the MIDDLE OF SPRING and the skies are cloudy with spotty showers. Humidity is high, recommending inhabitants to dress accordingly for comfort.
