i'm curious, as it's a cool effect. How did you get the color change for the staff pictures when you scroll over them.

is it a code?

Hey everyone, I was just looking around, but I'm having a problem accessing various links around the site. One of two things usually happen: either the link will come up saying "You do not have permission to view this topic" (example: the application list), or an empty forum will appear that says it contains zero topics (example: faction information). For the latter, I made sure that the view was set to see all topics from the beginning, and nothing still came up.

Just in case this helps, here's a list. Yeah, I'm OCD.
Things that say "I do not have permission":
From the 'important' links in the sidebar, I can't access the avatar claim, application form, personal compendium. From the forum homepage, I can't access...well, pretty much anything. The completed applications, the topics made by other members, anything.
Things that just appear empty:
Pretty much any of the main links. Clicking on information doesn't bring up a list of topics, it just brings up an empty forum.

Am I just doing something incredibly stupid (which I will fully admit to)? Thanks for checking this out.

I've gone through and I believe I solved the problem!

The personal compendium is a members-feature, so unfortunately it's not for guests. It's just a simple collection for members to have character diaries, phone conversations, etc.

Hopefully that works - it would CERTAINLY explain why no one's registered yet I've been advertising everywhere.

Alright, I'm just going off the general idea here, but I'm assuming that the forum registration account names are to be the character names? If so, then I'm going to try to stick with this one. Anyhow, I'm intending to join as an original... I need to get a feel for a certain character that I'm placing in my novel! And from what I've heard... Roleplay as the character in different situations/environments is the best way to do so. Found this board through google... Oddly enough. I like the plot thus far, and the members seem to be very talented. This is my first time doing something of this nature, so we'll see how that goes. Anyhow, I've rambled well enough past what was originally expected. So yeah...

My apologies, if I posted in the wrong thread.

Hehe, me again guys... Had a quick question. Is there anywhere to post incomplete apllications, in order to collect and complete at a later time... Kind of like a "Work in Progress" sort of area?

It is perfectly fine! Welcome to the board!

I'm Maverick, the head administrator, and I will go ahead and answer your questions today. First off, I'll have to change your account name to remove the _ from between the names, but that takes all of a few seconds.

WIP applications can be posted in the registration forum; just make sure to put a WIP in the title or in the title description. When you're done you can remove the WIP and then let us know via PM or through a reply to the topic when you're done. =3

EDIT: There's also an Incomplete Applications sub-forum in the Registration forum where you can post the WIP apps, and then just let us know when you're done.

Any other questions?

So, to make sure I'm understanding, There IS a place for halfway-apps. As you've mentioned. Now what I'm not all too familiar with, however... was how you explained the registration itself. Will it simply be an additional thread to the registration forum, with "WIP" in the title?? Is that the common idea? Again, my apologies for the lack of understanding, you have to keep in mind that this is the first time I've participated in this kind of endeavor. tongue.gif

It's perfectly fine. Don't apologize. ^^ I'm glad to help.

Under the Registration forum there is another sub-form that is called Incomplete Applications. You may post your application in there according to the rules of Registration, which are listed in the Registration forum itself. When you complete the application (that is when you're done with it completely) you can PM a member of the staff or you can just reply to your initial application topic letting us know that you're done. We will then move it ourselves to the Registration forum (out of the Incomplete Applications forum) and grade it from there. There is no need to create two topics of the same nature.

Outstanding! Glad you guys are actually helpful. The last one of these I tried were complete and utter Ignorants, and made the entire process more hassle then it was worth. I'm working on the app now, so expect it either tonight or tomorrow morning(ish)!

Provehito in Altum is a post-apocalyptic, original game centered around the year 2588. Everything as we knew it has changed. Which side will you choose to stand with when war emerges once more? We are an intermediate game. Make sure to read the rules and the plot to get an idea of where we're going.

S E T T I N G
WASHINGTON CITY
2588 A.D.

Everything as we once knew it has changed. Desert wastelands cover the earth; the oceans and streams are radiated; the air is polluted. In all of the chaos one power stands strong: ECHELON. Once a secret American organization, ECHELON is now the provider of the new race of humans called Ariuns. Order is strict; death lies around every corner. Secrets are never safe for long.

In the deserts another race thrives. Their evolution has allowed them to adapt to the harsh conditions of the desolate planet. It has also allowed them to build their own society, be it disorganized, outside of ECHELON's control. Their battle has already started as a struggle to regain what is rightfully theirs: the planet.

Which side will you choose to fight with?

It is currently the MIDDLE OF SPRING and the skies are cloudy with spotty showers. Humidity is high, recommending inhabitants to dress accordingly for comfort.
