HEIGHT: 5'2" WEIGHT: 121 lbs. HAIR: Jinx's hair is long, and usually messy. It is light brown in color, but has reddish blond highlights in it as well. There are a few layers in her hair, and she has choppy bangs that are usually pushed to the left of her forehead. EYES: Like all Zodiuns, her eyes are gray in color, in an almond shape with a hooded lid. DESCRIPTION: The one thing that is very noticeable about Jinx, is that she is very petite in size. Don't let this fool you though, she is feisty and can take anyone down as she has been trained well in physical combat. Most people dont' think that she has what it takes to be sent out to battle, but that is untrue. Her muscles are sinewy, and don't add much bulk to her, but they are there, hiding just below the surface. Not only that, but she is quick, and that gives her an advantage when hand to hand combat comes about. Her figure is slender, with slight definition to her arms, legs and stomach. Her skin tone is pale, and she does not tan well. Freckles powder her face, but they are not very prominent, and you wont see them unless you are right up in her face. Jinx's face is somewhat triangular, but she has a rounded chin that softens her facial features. Her eyes are almond shaped, with a hooded lid, and gray in color, as she is one of the Zodiuns. Jinx carries herself in a strong manner. While she does enjoy to have fun, she is not afraid to tell people off. She is incredibly headstrong, and it shows in the way that she interacts with people. When she walks, her gaze is always straight ahead, and she never looks at the ground while she's walking. Her gait is fast, and she always looks as she is headed somewhere, even if she is just wandering around. Most people think that she is angry when she is walking, just because of how forceful she seems. When fighting, most people see her as an object of grace. Her movements are calculated and fluid, and she makes everything look very simple. The strength that she has mostly comes from her speed, and whatever muscle she has built up over her two years of training. Her dress is simple. Jinx doesn't like anything too flashy and will stick to common materials such as jean, and cotton. Silks, and other fancy materials do not interests her as she would rather be comfortable then feel as though she is being constricted. While training she wears either shorts, or leggings as they give her a good range of motion. When it comes to shoes, she has on pair in particular that she wears constantly. The black pair of low top converse have been so worn down that you can see her feet while she's wearing them but she refuses to get rid of them. Jinx also has an assortment of boots, combat ones to be specific, but she only wears them when she is training. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - LIKES: tai chi : it is a good way to learn focus, and it keeps you fit. cuddling : it is a nice to feel loved. music : there is nothing better then listening to a song to fit your mood. laughter : despite what some think, Jinx has a very goofy sense of humor. reading : it’s a way to escape, so she reads whatever books she can get her hands on. wit : it amuses her, and is always ready with a witty comeback. control : not in the sense that she wants to be controlled, but likes having control over herself, and her actions. fighting : she was born for it. jinx is a scrapper. connection : to anyone. she likes feeling as though she has human connections with others. it reminds her she’s alive. pain : similar to feeling connected to others. it reminds her that she’s alive.... but some people think that she’s likes it a little too much. DISLIKES: threats : they annoy her. ECHELON : complete. assholes. AEON : the product of complete assholes. showing vulnerability : who likes showing their weak points? those who think she’s not up to par : Jinx can run with the best of them... screw you if she think that she can’t. living in fear : even though she would never admit it, Jinx is scared of being caught and experimented on. insomnia : it has taken a toll on her, and sometimes causes her to freak out. the high and mighty : those with the big egos. yeah, she doesn’t like you. the sun : it is bright, and harsh, and she burns really easily. spinach : it’s just... gross. GENERAL PERSONALITY: Hot-headed and stubborn are both ways to describe Jinx. She takes after her father, who was a Zodiun Leader when he was alive, and she can’t get through a day without someone telling her how much she is like him. Jinx does not take shit from anyone, and will speak her mind whenever given the chance. She has trouble expressing her emotions, so most of the time she just comes off as angry because it is the easiest emotion for her to convey. This is not the norm for her all of the time though. Jinx has a great sense of humor and has had it ever since she was a little girl. The death of her father caused her to change to someone who has trouble expressing herself emotionally. When she was growing up, Jinx was outgoing, friendly, and easy to get along with. That person is still hidden beneath the surface and comes out on occasion, but most of the time Jinx comes across as cold and angry. She has an inability to open up to people, and does not like to start emotional relationships, even though she thinks that being loves is one of the best feelings in the world. Needless to say, she is a bit of an enigma. A lot of people find her a little strange, and some try to avoid her, but the few who do take an interest in being friendly with her discover that there is a loyal woman who would put her life on the line to save anyone. Onto the pain thing. Jinx suffers from something called ‘congenital insensitivity to pain’. There are two types of this illness. One, is insensitivity to feel pain, and two is indifference to pain. Jinx is the latter. She can feel it when someone punches her, but she lacks the appropriate responses to it. So, is someone shot her, it would register that it was painful, but she would not react as such. Jinx would not withdraw, or acknowledge what happened to her. This can be very dangerous because Jinx can be seriously injured, but not tell anyone about it. In the past, she has been close to death and didn’t even realize it. Due to this, some people think that she is rather insane. Jinx can be getting the shit kicked out of her, but still keep a smile on her face. Doing everything she can to protect the Zodiuns, and their way of life. ONE WISH: Jinx wishes that she had a more even sleep pattern. It really messes her up when she is unable to sleep. How often to they think of it, or is it something they have to see to 'freak out' over? No less than one paragraph. WORST MEMORY: Seeing the death of her father will stick with her forever. Jinx saw him get gutted by an ECHELON agent, and that image will stick with her forever. Ever since then, Jinx hasn’t been completely right. BEST-KEPT SECRET: Jinx keeps all of her fears to herself. She likes to keep a mask of obscurity on to prevent people from seeing on the inside, she is terrified. Jinx feels that if people knew how scared she really was, they would not think she was strong enough, emotionally, to continue on as a soldier. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - SKILLS: agile: Jinx is incredibly fast, and can easily clamber over things that might be in other people’s way. balance: Jinx has a very strong sense of equilibrium. she is able to cross beams, and other objects with ease. hand-to-hand combat: this is her favorite of all the fighting techniques. she is able to wield a knife like no other, and enjoys the feeling of her fist crunching against someone’s jaw. pain threshold: Jinx likes pain... possibly a little too much. She thrives on it as she feels as though it reminds her that she is alive. So, when someone punches her in the face, she is more likely to laugh at them then be upset by it. humor: Most of the time Jinx pretends to be hardcore, but she is a goofball at heart and likes to make people laugh. She is usually the one to keep spirits up. WEAKNESS: Even though she doesn’t like to think that she has weaknesses, everyone has does, it’s unavoidable. Her emotional state is one thing that causes her the most problems. Jinx is slightly off kilter. Everyone who knows her, knows that she’s not completely right in the head. Her love for pain is something that freaks some people out. One could see her getting her ass kicked, bleeding all over the place, but still smiling and cracking jokes. Some think that she has a death wish, but that is not the case. In fact, Jinx is quite scared of what lies beyond her life. Jinx just wants to roll with the big boys. It is not hard to see that she is quite small and petite. Some might think that she is not the ideal soldier because of this and they might be right, but Jinx refuses to admit it. This can cause her problems when she is pitted against an opponent who is twice her size - these soldiers are not rare. Jinx suffers from insomnia and this can sometimes kick her off her game. If she goes for more then three days without sleep, she starts to hallucinate and forgets things. As you might think, this is not good for someone who is a soldier. Whenever she can get her hands on sleeping pills she takes them.
