Two new chapters (not NEW but new for Am and Elen) since I've been lacking...sorry.

Chapter Four – “May I Take Your Order?”

An hour later, Anna and I were led to the after party, where we would wait on the people. Goodness, with those prices, I was bound to go home with a hefty paycheck, not to mention tips! But, Jesus, these people could drink! They were guzzling it, like the cash register was guzzling their money, or rather from their cards. Thank God I’d taken off that black top. My white tank was a lot less expensive than that thing. So, here I am, walking around in a wife beater and black pants…black shoes…hehe. I’m all black and white. Including my nearly black hair.

When I go over to the next table, I nearly turn back. But I really need that money, and the table is loaded! I walk over to the table. Seated are Orlando Bloom, Kate Bosworth, Elijah Wood, Franka Potente, Dominic Monaghan and his blonde date, Billy Boyd, Viggo Mortensen and his son, Peter Jackson, and Liv Tyler and her husband. Did I not tell you that table was loaded?

“Hello. May I take your orders?” I swear, that question is the most annoying phrase. I have a new appreciation for waiters and waitresses. Of course they bombard me with orders, but start to go in order. I jot them all down, and head back to the bar, considering all they ordered, all anyone ordered was drinks. I come back with about a third of the drinks, I mean, that’s a lot of people to wait on! Evidently Mr. Wood found it offensive when he didn’t get his drink, “Um. Excuse me?’

I roll my eyes inwardly, “Yes, Mr. Wood?”

“I think you forgot some of us.”

“No, but I think you forgot to remember that there are 11 of you that I have to wait on. And it’s virtually impossible to carry all of your drinks on the same tray.” I saw his face turn the color of a tomato. I swear, that’s how I’ll think of him from now on: Tomato Face.

Chapter Five – Potato and Tomato

The bartender gets sick, so I volunteer for that. At least, it’s better than waiting. Just as I’m removing my apron and all that crap, I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around to see Franka Potente. I really don’t get this girl. I heard that they’d broken up, on national TV, but I guess she’s “reeled” him in again.

“May I help you?”

“Yeah, you can go and apologize to Elijah.”

“Excuse me?”

“You heard. You don’t have the right to speak to him like that. I don’t know if you realize who he is. The st—“

“Of Lord of the Rings, Flipper, The War, Huck Finn, and he’s the star of your movie Try 17, which is totally based on sex and I wouldn’t see if my life depended on it.”

Her jaw drops.

“Do you actually think that I’d apologize when he’s the one who should be?”

Her face is now competing with his. I turn around and almost bump into Tianna.

“Woa! Anna, watch where you’re going, hun.”

She laughs a little under her breath, “Having fun with the customers, Sam?”

“Tons. You?”

“Oh, yeah. Hey, can I borrow 50 cents… I told Nathan I’d call him.”

“Sure.” I pull a couple quarters out of my pocket. Nathan is her boyfriend. She’s had a thing for this guy for ages. He was a football player in high school and has the build for it, too. Okay, then I went to the bar. This is my thing. I do nights at this club called The Black Pearl. Personally, I think it’s the best. There aren’t any exotic dancers, so I’m not gagging the whole time. And the owner invites great bands to perform!

I’m at the bar, having as much fun as possible, when I see Dom Monaghan’s date walk up. She smiles at me, “I saw you shoot off at Franka. Great job!”

“Come again?”

She holds out her hand, “I’m Ronda.”

“Sam”

“Both Franka and Elijah deserved what you dished them. I just wanted to say thanks on behalf of that entire table.” She pointed in the direction of the table. Potatoe and Tomato’s seats were empty. The entire table was waving and grinning.
