This year I thought I had the aphid thing all figured out. I didn't have any until a couple of weeks ago. I thought that if I kept the pads trimmed away from touching the sides of the pond then the little :x would not get on the pads. Well, it didn't work as I a ton of them. I wish I could sell the little :x as I would be rich!!!
Did I mention I hate aphids? :po_ed: |

Nasty little buggers aren't they? They really make the pads look horrid.
I have not had a problem with aphids and hope I don't. |

Oh they are! I hate those guys :hammering: I think I probably am the only one on the forum that has such a time with them. We have lots of x-mas trees that are prone so what can a girl do but swear. Hummm, I wonder what they taste like dipped in chocolate? :goodone: |

I have aphids just as bad as last year. :po_ed: When I hose them off it looks like someone dumped a pepper shaker all over the pond surface. AND do you thing the fish would help by eating some???? NOPE the dumb fish. :swimfishy: I was supposed to get my pam spray after them over the weekend but didn't get the time. It's on the to do list for tomorrow.
Ahhh, I feel better now. :zipit: |

Well I am pretty darn proud of myself. ^_^
I put on my full attack gear ready to do battle with the bugs from heck and I'm winning! :boxing: Did a pad check yesterday eve and didn't see as many. Not sure if they are going back for reinforcements but if they do, I will have my pam spray ready to fire back :boom: I'll open a can of whoop a$$ if I'm backed into a corner. :goodone: |
