Yes they are. They came from the pond where I work. The fountain was being repaired two years ago and the repair man found these two on the fountain platform. He said they were as big as he has ever seen in Ohio. One weights 3/4 pound. No matter where I put them they move around slowly exept once when I put them in a lily pot they dug their backside in the mud. I would like to have more but not enought to go scuba diving.

I've always wanted to see the clams in your pond, Froggie! COOL! You really have a "zoo" over there: ducks, clams, tadpoles, frogs, fish oh my!
