Title: Fish Scales

Look what I found on my arbor yesterday

At first I thought they came from one of MY fish but the scales are too big I think and all of my big fish are accounted for. I remembered that the salmon are running and the neighbor is an avid fisherman. I figure that some bird somehow got the scales/skin and drug them to my arbor. Weird huh?

I found this right below

If it had been a bird wouldn't you find more then just scales left? Could it have been a raccoon that eat the whole fish and stole a robins egg also?

I am not sure. Would a coon crawl up there to eat the fish?

I wouldn't think so but you never know. I think they usually eat right were they catch something. Like at the edge of a creek or lake.

Broken egg, scales. Sounds like you have a rare flying fish in your area :P :D :P

The more I look at those scales the more I think they are from a salmon. They are probably gone now since we got a good soaking rain yesterday. I'm not sure how to tell the difference in a good soaking rain other than I get wet faster when I go outdoors. Yep.

You would get along great with my oldest daughter. She loves sushi especially the salmon.

I like mine baked with a little lemon pepper.
