Dude, someone started this thread to take a shot at Big 10 football, but the way to do it is not to compare it to the ACC. Hell, the ACC doesn't even have a participant in the BCS; it's really a game between two Big East teams.

And if NC ever has any success in football, it will just be a temporary stopover for the coach, like what happened with Mack Brown. John Bunting was the last guy who looked at that job as his job-of-a-lifetime. It's not a football school and it never will be. Ohio State is one of the top 5 football programs in the country (and I'm a Penn State fan), so just deal with it.

Where UNC failed with Mack Brown they have learned with Butch Davis. BDavis is being paid very good money. In fact he was making more than Fat Phil at Tenn before he was removed. And lets not forget that Davis spurned Tenn's public offer to talk. IMO, I don't see Butch going anywhere anytime soon. As I have pointed out he is making good money. He can win in the ACC. And there is alot less pressure to win because as you said UNC isn't a football school.

Of course he would you dope. Bunting was a UNC football alum. He was a great guy and well respected in Chapel Hill but he wasn't a head coach.

What I meant by the Big East comment is that the Big East defectors will always dominate ACC football because they actually have football pedigree. Virginia Tech already has more ACC championships than Virginia. Whenever one of the basketball schools steps up in football they will lose their coach to a real football program.
