It's like having a five thousand-song mixtape. Although it can be very jarring to go from Bob Marley's "Sun is Shining" to Pantera's "Use My Third Arm"...

I'm going through and re-ripping all my CDs to MP3s, then as I put them back in the case I'm alphabetizing them. It's interesting to see what CDs end up next to each other.

And yeah, I put it on shuffle but to avoid the shock you described I do it within a genre such as Classic Rock, Rock, Metal, etc.
