Sulpicia da Urbino Posted on Sep 1 2010, 12:37 PM
((this totally isn't three months late and i don't blame you if you don't reply again))

Sulpicia was easily pacifed. A man offering her a replacment coffee counted as flirting with her and therefore he was feeding her ego. Her ego was the most important thing to her and she fed it all the time, it was even better when someone else did it for her (but of course she didn't see it that way, she didn't realize she had an ego).

"That would be lovely." Her eyelashes fluttered, she lowered her glance and she smiled winningly at him. All things that made her look very attractive and very heartless considering the annoying girl on the floor in front of her.

Of course the other vampire reminded her of being friendly, she honestly had never got the point of helping those annoying little humans (surely their purpose was to feed her?) in the way that some vampires had. "..but only once your friend is okay of course."

See. Sulpicia could be nice if she wanted to.

Rose did not like the way the woman at the table was looking at her and she sneered pointedly at her. If this bitch thought she was better than Rose she had another thing coming. Objectively, she wasn't even that attractive. And her apparently hideous personality severely detracted from her physically beauty. Rose was already tense from her separation from her stubborn Bonded. The last thing she needed was a public confrontation with some bitch. So she decided the best course of action was to ignore Sulpicia.

Rose turned her large pale eyes to Jelena, mild sympathy in them. However, her feeling for the poor girl was not entire. She was after all a vampire and had overheard her conversation with the young man who was shooting daggers at the red-haired drama queen.

However, when the woman stumbled she couldn't help but feel bad.

“Best not, or you’ll be flying into coffee tables too.”

Rose took in what the man said with a small smile. She doubted very much that the thin girl could possibly hurt her.

"It's alright. I'm stronger than I look. Ma'am, are you SURE I can't help you up?"

Rose turned to Jelena, and extended a hand. Clearly she was NOT strong enough to stand up by herself. But Rose wouldn't touch her until she said it was okay. Touching someone as adverse to it as the young redhead before her was a bad plan.

Neither Lena nor Pavel were very well versed in the subtle differences between vampire and human. That said, both of them were perfectly content with thinking the two pretty women that had become their companions for the day were perfectly normal in every way. Especially when both were more involved with dealing with each other. Pavel, sitting on the ground now, Sulpicia’s coffee staining his new shirt, was shooting Lena a glare, whoever made up the “don’t kill seers” rule obviously hadn’t had to deal with miss Jelena Yuryevich.Lena, however, was someone who found her protection and safety in the pity of others. As much as she complained, as much as she claimed to loathe it, she lived by it. She was the one who answered Rosa, holding her casted arm, eyes wide and pitiful. She didn’t like to be touched, but she wouldn’t mind someone telling Pavel Yuryevich off for touching her. “No. I’ll be fine. Thank you.” Her voice broke pitifully, as she tried to scramble up (failing and returning to her kneel on the ground as it hurt less).Pavel grumbled something under his breath, rude and insulting to Jelena, mocking, as he helped himself up, speaking in broken English, accent heavy, “Best not, or you’ll be flying into coffee tables too.” And then he looked to Sulpicia sheepishly. “I’m sorry ma’am, I can buy you a new one?”

Sulpicia had barely noticed the presence of the two russians in the square. They were beyond her notice for they were human and therefore uninteresting. Instead of watching them she was looking out for vampires, vampires that could be related to Antoni somehow. She hadn't spotted Rosalina, if she had then maybe things would have happened differently, unlikely but still possible because the two of them had never met before.

Her face formed a perfect expression of shock as the man crashed directly into her, if she had been paying more attention then she might have moved in time, but she wasn't the sort to do that. It was unlucky really that the table was glass, glass that now had a very large crack going through it - at least it hadn't cut the man badly, open wounds weren't great around her.

She had only just managed to take in exactly what had happened, and she's hadn't exactly got it all right, when a vampire appeared. A vampire who seemed to want to help the pathetic humans when Sulpicia had been planning to just move off. But now she had to stay here, she didn't like to look too heartless especially in front of other vampires (because she was so clearly better than them in everyway of course).

  [Mind if I join?]

Rose didn't even know WHY she was here. Cyn had invited her to go shopping or something in town, but she wanted to be by herself. Some days she just wanted to get a coffee and people watch. Humans were fascinating creatures if one just sat and observed them for a while. Plus, she had already fed three times that day and so had no reason to worry about hurting anyone. One of her meals had been particularly delicious and she was feeling good for the first time in weeks. She suspected he may have just shot up some heroin which would explain her high.

The emerald green vintage dress and matching satin flats she wore drew more than one admiring glance as she walked through the square. Dark blonde hair was pulled up in a delicate updo with loose ringlets framing her pale brown heart shaped face. It was funny how with such little maintenance she could look so exquisite. Perhaps that was cocky but she hadn't been happy in months due to the situation with Chase, and it was going to her head.

Stupid Chase. Fuck him.

She was walking across the square, pretty rose-hued lips in a quirky smile when she saw the commotion.

A red-haired, and heavily injured young woman shoved a man into the table where a rather beautiful and self-involved looking half-blood sat. Rose couldn't help but laugh out loud at the girl at the table's facial expression. It was comical.

But she digressed and headed over to see if she could help, biting her lip to keep from laughing again.

She stopped between the red head and the destroyed table.

"Um.. do you need help getting up?"

This was directed both at the humiliated looking man and the red headed spit fire. Who to help first?

Goodness. Silly humans.

“Don’t touch me,” she had snapped when the man tried to reach forward and slow the girl down. Tried to lay a hand on her shoulder and job her back only, but he stopped quickly, drawing back as if burned by her words, bowing his head in shame.Jelena Yuryevich hated him, the man standing behind her. So much so, she didn’t even bother with his name. Pavel or Pasha or something stupid like that, who was supposed to escort her outside now. Now that she was with a cast on her arm, forced to walk slowly lest her leg give out on her and her rib rebreak. Lest she turn her neck too much and her entire spine fall out and she need someone trustworthy with the name of Yuryevich to put it back. Lest the bruise fading from her upper cheek shove her eye from the socket. He was treating her like a doll, the fuck.He spoke in Russian. “Miss, please, you shouldn’t be walking so long. They’re still worried about the state of your leg.” And yes, her leg was hurting. Aching nearly. But if you thought the little redhead wasn’t a stubborn bitch, willing to take the pain, you were in for a big surprise (this directed at Pavel or Pasha or whatever the hell his name was).He tried to touch her again, tried to reach her and hold her back (the little redheaded brat), the intent to drag her back without touching her skin (he wasn’t stupid, he knew the problem with touching her, and he was looking to get away and around that rule, he had been trying to convince her to get back for nearly an hour, noticing her limp… but goldsmith she wouldn’t and he couldn’t touch her unless…)The hand fell on her shoulder, and then Lena freaked (you don’t touch the seer for more than one reason).“I said DON’T TOUCH ME,” (screamed in Russian, but even those who couldn’t understand could see the panic on her face, hear it in her voice) when she shoved him hard away, jumping back and landing hard enough that she crumpled to the ground, crouching low. From her spot on the ground, she watched Pavel Yuryevich fall into the table that held the most beautiful woman in all the square (something Lena would argue against) and the untouched coffee cup.She must have been danger prone, Pavel decided. It was the only way all this shit seemed to happen around her.

Sulpicia didn't see the point in school. She was over two hundred years old and in her opinion she knew everything she would ever need to know and therefore these four years were a complete waste of her time. She could be by her Antoni's side, she could be looking after her darling. She honestly didn't believe that he was capable of looking after himself, she was his.

So that's why she was in town, Antoni had told her that he would occassionally come to visit her on a Saturday and she just couldn't help herself hoping that he would surprise her. So far this hadn't happened but she could hope, she always hoped. Not that she showed that, no one saw her hope and her clinginess apart from Antoni so to most she just seemed as if she was fond of the town.

She always made sure she looked perfect but today she looked even more perfect than usual: her blonde hair perfectly tumbling around her face in gentle curves, her blue eyes standing out in her pale face, her knee length dark blue dress gently hugging her body, and the nicest shoes she had ever owned adding inches to her small stature. She was easiest the most beautiful woman in the town square, making it all the more strange that she was sitting all alone. An untouched mug of coffee resting on the table in front of her.
