The police boat roared towards Liberty Island, its lights were reflected off of the water and made eerie shadows under the cloudy night sky.

"I've been briefed by Jacobson already," Nicholas 'Snickers' Kirtland had to yell over the noise of the boat's motor, "The NSF have intercepted a shipment of Ambrosia that was heading into Liberty Island, and then they moved it somewhere." The other members of the group already knew who the National Secessionist Force was; a terrorist organization that was notorious for its attacks on Ambrosia shipments of late, but this had been a particularly succesful run. "We believe the leader is holed up in the statue of Liberty. UNATCO forces went in first, but were pushed back. One of our agents, Gunther Hermann, was captured. Only two of us can go to Liberty Island, so it'll be Kunoichi and I. After we're dropped off, you three," He pointed to the three remaining agents with three fingers, "Will head down into Battery Park to get back the Ambrosia shipment and settle a hostage situation in the subway. You'll need to split up. I'd recommend Halloween and Red to rescue the hostages in the subway while Boombox secures the Ambrosia, but it's really up to you how you want to arrange things over there. Alex will radio you with more details once you arrive."

The boat docked at Liberty Island, dropped off Snickers and Kunoichi, and then drove off to the city to bring the other three to their objective. Nick took out his knife, looked it over a few times, and then tossed it over the edge of the dock and into the water. He produced a chocolate bar from inside his coat and unwrapped it, "So," He said, taking a bite, "which one of us is going to spring Gunther and which one of us gets to arrest the NSF leader? Rock-Paper-Scissors?"

At Battery Park, the second group of agents disembarked from the boat, which promptly headed off back towards Liberty Island in order to ensure no more NSF reinforcements docked. With that, Alex Jacobson radioed the three of them over their Infolink. Jacobson was a fairly insular fellow. Polite, good with computers, awkward, but still professional enough.

"One of our agents, Anna Navarre, is waiting over by Castle Clinton on the northeast end of the park. That's where we think the NSF are keeping the Ambrosia. Navarre will get you past the terrorists so that you can secure the vaccines. Meanwhile, two of you must go into the subway and rescue the hostages. Be careful, the NSF have threatened to detonate explosives inside the subway if their demands for a safe exit are not met."

It seemed they knew their mission now. All that remained was to decide who was going where.

"Explosives? Sounds like my kind of thing." Aerin commented, deciding to take the subway. "I can disarm them, one of you gets the hostages out, and if we need to I can rearm them and blow the rest of the terrorists sky-high. So who's coming with me?"

Halloween turned to Boombox, talking for the first time since they departed. His voice was rugged and throaty. "I'll come with you."

He breathed heavily, staring at her, little puffs of air coming out the sides of his breather mask.

"Suit yourselves, I've got the fun job," Red maliciously grinned, "Killing some bastards."

Kent pulled the ass of his Kriss into his shoulder and moved off to the North West at a speedy pace. His augments searching for the woman called Navarre.

Anna Navarre was waiting with two other UNATCO troopers at the steel gate to Castle Clinton, which could hardly even be called a castle anymore. Only the outer sandstone walls still remained, with the rest of the interior having degraded long ago and replaced by a modern shed that led down into the lower areas. Anna was augmented, but not with the newer nanotechnology. Instead, one of her eyes was missing, and in its place was a red mechanical one. Likewise, her arms and legs had noticeable mechanical servos and ungainly (by nanotech standards) wiring.

She saw Kent immediately and waved him over behind the barrier they had made to provide cover from potential hostiles coming out of the fort. She spoke in a sharp accent denoting some kind of eastern European descent, probably Russian, "Some of the terrorists have hidden themselves inside the Castle. Our orders are to retrieve one of the barrels of Ambrosia, after we exterminate the NSF." She made a point to emphasize the last part.

Nicholas shrugged, "Nevermind. You've got the grappling hook. You take care of the leader and I'll spring Gunther. Besides, I don't think I'll be able to convince the leader to surrender with nothing but these." He gestured to the half-eaten chocolate bar still in his hand, "I mean, I can be pretty scary when I want to be, but...well, I'm not too keen on killing the terrorists. We're basically just cops after all."

He stopped himself just before leaving, "Oh, one more thing. The leader is the brains of the operation, but he's also a pacifist. Do what you can to take him alive and interrogate him. We still don't know why the NSF would risk an open assault."

Kent grinned, "Well of course after we exterminate, we wouldn't want a full day of paperwork now would we?" One of his may euphemisms, "Anyways, should we wait until after we have confirmation of the bombs being diffused and then what? Do you have a plan of entry? A head on assault may be a bad thing..."

"Do not make me repeat myself." Anna scolded, "The bombs are in the subway, not the Castle. We are here for the Ambrosia, your colleagues are the ones who will deal with the hostages in the subway. There is only one door, so our attack must proceed with a frontal assault. A side passage would be useful, but I am aware of no such thing."

Anna loaded her assault rifle and held it up towards the gate, "We would already have stormed the castle by now, but I think UNATCO wants to see how the nano-agents perform."

"Well of course," Red glared, "But if we charge now wont they send the order to blow up 'my colleagues?'"

Kent thought over the plan of attack for a moment, "Well, if we cannot use stealth then I guess I'll take the frontal attack and knock out the defenses first, then the cavalry can come in."

"Their radioes were the first thing we jammed." Anna told him, "Your Infolink is the only thing currently unaffected. They are cut off from eachother, now is the time to move in."

OOC: It's a lot of fun to read this in Anna's voice.
