Title: GTA Studios Sources
Description: For you programming geeks. Like me!

Here's some links to the sources of the GTA Studios series of mods. I've been releasing them on GTAF from the beginning, but thought that maybe someone here would like to poke around at the innards. All of these have been tested and compiled with MSVC++ 6.0; I compile with VC++ 2005 .net these days, so you'll just have to make a few minor changes to accomodate the differences between the two versions - I think strcpy and the like were depreciated and a newer version of these functions are used. If anyone has any questions on this, I'll try to dig up what was changed.

Anyway, here's the files:

Vice Studios 3.1 Source

Liberty Studios 3.1 Source

San An Studios 3.1 Source

Yes, these are slightly behind the current releases. I'll update them when I feel like it. :P

Free to use and distibute; you MUST credit Spookie (LC/VC) and op9080 (SA) to use their hooks, and myself for any code of mine you pilfer.

Have fun!

Very helpful for programmers that want to make special tools (Example: Actor01 get in Car01)

:D

BTW, Liberty Studios is for GTA III?

LC Studios is for the GTA:VC mod GTA:LC. You can find it at GTAForums under the Hosted Mods section. Note that the 3.1 source for LC ONLY works on v6/v7 BETA's of the mod; some things (like memory offsets that make the hook work, for example) may have changed; see the GTA LC topics for more info there. I'm fairly certain the special actor names are the same as my version though.

Also note that while I did the GTA code in the Studios mods, the HOOK code was done by Spookie (VC and LC, though I converted the VC one to WORK with LC) and op9080 did the SA one. The SAS4 code was improved upon by JSGunther; this source is not publicly available (I really need to get around to MAPPING it out, so it's a bit more understandable), but if you REALLY need it for something specific, I might be able to work something out.

i tried extracting the vice studios mod but it didn't work. when i try to extract it, it shows me this message:

! C:\Users\Joe\Desktop\vice studios\ViceStudios3_1_SRC.zip: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged"

how can i fix this?
