1. Have fun! This is a game, not a drama contest. If you are having an issue with another player, do your best to work it out with them, using Private Messages, or anything else off the board. If a moderator needs to get involved, their decision becomes law.

2. Original character submissions will be considered. However, this game relies heavily on existing rangers for the premise, so the number of these characters will be limited. Also, we will require you to have some idea for the intro/overall story for said original character.

If you want to play a character that is post Power Rangers In Space, we will have to find a way to put your character into the fold. Much like an original character. You need to submit a bio, and a message detailing the idea you have for bringing your character into the world.

3. When playing an cannon character, you MUST be true to
their personality. Of course the characters are now in their mid-twenties and have grown up and experienced many things since the show. They are going to be different and more mature, but characters should not be dramatically different from who they were in the series. Cannon characters will be offered on a first come, first serve basis.

4. Villains. On rare occasions, a player may be allowed to play a villain. Because evil characters have such a huge impact on the game, this will be rare. If you would like to play an evil character, contact the board administrators.

5. Bios for your character and a picture are required before you can begin playing. Bio forms are available on the forum.

6. If there is a problem or you disagree with something please contact the moderators in a private message not posted on the board. We will try to work out the problem with you. Please do not stop posting or refuse to participate if you are not happy with something. By not participating, you cause the game to grind to a halt and slow the action down more. At that point you are adding to the problem, not solving it. Sometimes there will be slow spots in the story. The best thing to do is post as much as you can when that happens to help get us back to the action.

8. You must be able to post at least twice a week. If you are unable to do so, it is your responsibility to contact the admin team so that arrangements may be made for your character. Failure to do this will result in one warning, and possibly dismissal from the board.

9. Please try to stay on pace with the game and post often without overshadowing the action and dialogue. Give other players a chance to take an action or respond in a conversation before posting again. Try to give all the characters in a scene equal air time so no one person dominates the action. Likewise one character shouldn’t always be the hero. While it’s nice to be the one that comes to your teammate’s aid and save the day, it’s equally important that others have a chance to save your character in a pinch. Try to make sure everyone has a chance to be the hero and the ‘damsel in distress.’

10. We are not using dice or game mechanics. Have fun while playing but please don’t try to write your character out of a situation. The characters can’t always win. Sometimes for the good of the story, characters are captured or lose fights. Please work with the moderators on this point. Players should not take liberties of altering the course of the story without checking with a moderator. For example, if your character is captured and placed in a cell you should not take the liberty of just assuming your character is able to pick the lock for an easy escape. By everyone working together, we will create an enjoyable gaming environment for all and a memorable campaign.

11. Once you submit a character request, you will have three days to submit a bio for that character. Otherwise, the character goes back into the pool. This way it keeps things fair and open for committed players.

NO GODMODING! You may not act for another character without express permission from the player of that character!

12. We reserve the right to modify or update rules as need dictates.

I need to clarify one rule. It states that players must be able to post 2 times per week. That needs to be 2 times a week with no more than 3 full days passing between posts. If you post Monday, you need to post again by Thurs. at the latest. If people consistantly only were to post 1 time per week that's really going to hold the game up for everyone else. I understand real life comes first and I think that is a reasonable standard. Sometimes things happen and we are all going to fall short on that. It's ok every once in awhile. Sometimes work kicks our butts and we have to work extra hours because of retail jobs on teh holidays or the office dumps a project on us that requires over time, etc. Also, soemtimes people get sick, have family emergencies or go on vacation without any internet access. That too is understandable. In general though, everyone needs to be able to post 2 times a week about 1 time every 3 days as a minimum. If people consistantly can't make that standard, then we will have to have someone else take over your character.

Good call, Mike.

Also, let's remember the one word that Aretha Franklin so loved: respect.

Let's all make sure we respect one another. That will go a long way toward making sure there are few conflicts, and what conflicts may arise will be solved quickly.

One other rule addition that needs mentioning that I just looked up. The question came up about NC-17 rated fan fics. In the earlier version of this game we had rated it up to R for posts and stories. However, given that Power Rangers is a children's show and we are likely to have young children here language and violence need to be kept to PG-13. We added a word filter a few weeks ago to catch the more extreme language.

Please make sure anything posted in or out of character on here including fan-fics stay at a PG-13 rating. Extreme violations are subject to disciplinary action. Sexual situations are not appropriate to the game at any point and if in doubt please contact a moderator before posting anything you are unsure about. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in this matter.
